Beautiful location and views, friendly staff and the breakfast was out of this world!

Location, views, breakfast was excellent
Ants all over the bedroom, short staffed on the first night, no answer on reception or room service telephones, only one receptionist looking after everything, it was only 7pm, unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. We have stayed at The 12 Apostles a few times before but found that standards have dropped on this visit. It is still a beautiful hotel with stunning views and great food. Forgiven for the unfortunate carpet ruining from the weather.

Staff and breakfast were lovely!
Classic room totally overprized. 6K for a vey small crowded room ..difinitely no luxuries. Properties around 12 Apostles in that price range with beautiful, spacious rooms. If the price was 2k it was a more than acceptaple option. Will never stay there again.

Brilliant views, good breakfast
Hotel is older, and rooms are small and not particularly luxurious for the price, ultimate one is paying for the location

Good breakfast with variety to chose from.
As a red carnations hotel, I was shocked to learn that the bottle of wine which we found in the room on top of the dressing table was not complimentary. I have never experienced such at Oyster Box.

Amazing views and really friendly staff. The free shuttle bus to Camps Bay and the V&A waterfront was really handy and an added bonus!
nothing comes to mind.

Attention to detail and stunning location.
We loved everything.

Location, views ,
Staff at breakfast seemed to provide service more to overseas guests rather than local guests . We had to ask for a waiter to take our orders over several days. The staff also took down the incorrect orders quite a few times.

The staff were pleasant and the room was very nice although a little cramped. The cafe grill was excellent for lunch and dinner and the sushi which was prepared fresh on site but eh chef was excellent.
The accommodation was very nice but having stayed at the sister hotel in Durban prior to the twelve apostles the latter was very disappointing. the location was not as expected as we thought from the pictures the hotel was on the beach. In fact it was on a very busy road and you could not leave unless you were in a vehicle.
Breakfast was very disappointing the restaurant and service was very poor, uncooked sausages and bircher muesli that looked very unappetising to name but a few. The pastries looked like they were taken out of a packet on the shelf, each morning I had to raid other tables to get jam, cutlery and condiments as they had not laid up before breakfast. When ordering from the menu we were told to go and get it from the self service area ourselves...not at all what we would have expected from a 5 star hotel and totally not what we experienced at the Oyster Box who did absolutely everything to perfection. The Twelve apostles management need to visit the Oyster Box to learn some lessons.

The first thing to say about the hotel is that the location is stunning. The food was great - breakfast, dinner in either of the restaurants and room service. Every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful, in particular the concierge who arranged our stay - days out, restaurants, taxis etc.
If you want to be picky, the decks around the pools are small and can feel a little cramped.

The views at breakfast are fantastic, the staff is super kind, the rooms are clean, the food is good but the hotel in its entirety doesn’t qualify I’d say for a 5 star hotel.
The facilities could be better for a 5 star hotel.

Breakfast was excellent - a full continental buffet and excellent cooked options. Sparking wine and oysters a treat. The view from the hotel is incredible and probably hard to beat, but the view from our room was disappointing with access for people in neighbourig rooms to walk by and look in very easily without pulling over the heavy shades. The room itself was lovely and comfortable, bathroom was excellent and servicing was top class.

Good location but a bit out on a limb, away from everything else so taxis and transfers needed.
comfy bed.
The restaurant was average. staff in it a little miserable. unlike everywhere else we had been in SA. if you eat there go to the bar instead

we dined at the Azure Restaurant. Our mail course was the Steak Azure which was overdone and dry. The rest of the dining experience was fantastic.
We will come again for another special getaway but will opt for a more expensive sea or mountain facing room. Room 402 wasn't ideally located - there was a walkway for staff outside our veranda and it was a little noisy.

The staff and service are fantastic. They are very attentive, well trained and eager to please.
The facilities and decor are very tired and dated and badly in need of renovation. From the photos we could tell the decor style was ‘traditional’ but there is a difference between ‘traditional’ decor (which can still feel lovely and fresh) and simply tired and outdated decor. The hotel opened in 2002 and it seems very little has been touched since. Whilst the rooms were comfortable and service excellent, we don’t think the quality of facilities justifies the premium price point of this hotel.

The setting, rooms and massages were amazing.
There was no water during our stay. While the staff offered us bottled water to drink, we were unable to shower which made the stay less enjoyable.
