tranquillità

La tranquillità ed il verde circostante rendono questa struttura un oasi di pace dove soggiornare per un breve passaggio o per rilassarsi nella lettura di un libro nel verde parco.

Unica pecca decoder tv da aggiornare sono obsoleti e non funzionanti. ( Non abbiamo però chiesto di cambiarlo)

*attention all women* An older member of staff at the hotel approached me at the pool and was flirtatious and at times very inappropriate with his comments. He propositioned that he come to my room at 11pm, after his shift, and have a wine with me. Despite saying no and telling him I have a boyfriend, I received a knock at my door at 11:05pm. Assuming it was him, I proceeded to stay quiet in hopes he would leave. Despite my efforts, he followed his knocking with an attempt to gain access to my room with what I can only imagine was a back up set of keys. As soon as I heard the jangle of the keys and the moving of the door handle, I got up and held my weight against the door and yelled out. Once I spoke, he left. Being in an isolated building, set far back from the main reception, I felt isolated, scared and in danger and felt the need to push my chest of drawers against the door in order to feel safe enough to shut my eyes and try to sleep. The owner of the hotel attempted to sweep the issue under the rug, eventually giving me a full refund and driving me to the station - however the damage was already done. If you are a female travelling alone - be wary before booking.

Lovely terrace where i spent the evening chatting with friends without fear of disturbing others Breakfast was plentiful

The Bar was closed in the evening but it was ok as we bought some drinks and had a fridge in room

Will not stay again, very dissatisfied with my stay compared to 2019.

The pool was 95 degrees! There was NO Wi-Fi in the room. The breakfast was really bad compared to 2019. The pillows were hard as rocks. No restaurant for lunch or dinner.Closed for some reason. The young kid at the pool, not Roberto, but the other pool attendant was a fool!

Perfect place to enjoy a stay both with or without kids.

Quite all was excellent! Staff, rooms, location, pool... Expectation was high, and we enjoyed more than expected.

Great value for money stay with excellent breakfast

Breakfast was amazing and the staff working there. The whole place was very appealing and would be great as a wedding or party venue

Restaurant only opened at 19 which was late for us with young kids. Room a bit dark and very rustic but that could also be expected

Location, accomodation, staff were friendly.

But don't have a problem with admin as the language was a problem and they stick to what they know. We had a problem where we paid tax with booking.com then had to pay it again at the accomofation.

Excellent staff, lovely hotel and surroundings. Outstanding restaurant

All went well and the restaurant was very good. We stayed in the main part and the location was excellent

The only criticsim that I encountered was although the renovation was first class, there was a small soundproofing issue but this should not detract from the overall property and staff who were very helpful

I wouldn’t stay here even again.

This place is beautiful. We had a lovely room. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was good. The pool is lovely, even though they had to clean it while we were there.

Bad, bad management. The stuff should work on their hospitality. The waiter in the restaurant is very rude. People at the reception not friendly. And the breakfast was miserable, and I’m not saying that because I’m a vegetarian.

A lovely place to stay. But some staff need to cheer up and be great full of customers.

The pool was gorgeous. Breakfast on the terrace amazing. The grounds and gardens lovely. The lovely Italian receptionist needs a pay rise.

The air conditioning has to be controlled by reception for the room. I felt like a child asking for it to be turned on. The first night the room got too hot, unable to go and ask as I woke at 3am. It had turned off. Second night, the air conditioning was ineffective. We did not sleep very well. No one asked us if the room was ok. The cleaners managed to put my suede shoes under the leaking air conditioning unit. The owner lady seems off standish and doesn’t speak any English. The restaurant seems to love using the microwave as it was turned on a lot during both our dinners. The second nights dinner was disappointing and tasteless.

It was an utter disappointment!

This is a beautiful property not far away from Cortona with a fantastic swimming pool, but it is in need of an important overhaul and a significant investment to make it worth your time and money. The cleaning crew were very accommodating and welcoming.

The air conditioner units in the rooms are not working and need to be changed or upgraded. They make a lot of noise and barely cool the room, so imagine what kind of night's rest you can get during a heatwave. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, and the TVs are quite old and very small (24 in), and the restaurant does not have a/c as well, so there is only limited seating for dinner on the terrace (only choice at night, other than going into town). The wifi connection is almost non-existent, and the passageways and inroads within the property need to have more gravel. The reception staff was quite disorganized and did not communicate very well in English. No snacks or bar service during the day, despite having most of the hotel guests at the pool every day. We actually cancelled the last night at Il Melone and preferred to lose money, just so we could go and stay in another hotel/property.

Amazing location, weak service

Beautiful Tuscan stone location with amazing pool. Not too small, not too large so there is a spirit of intimacy. 5 min drive to Cortona. The restaurant seeves very good Tuscan food.

The service does not match the location… seams as it is the guests job to make life easier for the staff and not the other way around… For example you cant take a coffee to your room because the cleaning lady wont like it 💁🏻‍♀️. They took our travel size iron from our room without asking! Then said they took it because a former guest said they forgot one. And you are not allowed to use one anyway at this place - no other solution to iron your clothes. Besides our room being very loud from the nearby road, the cleaning staff had zero regard for keeping it down in the morning - they were so loud we thought they are moving furniture and also speaking very loudly. They constantly ran out of supplies at the restaurant such as drinks for the kids, no take away option for left overs. We constantly felt like we were asking too much from the service. Many small inconveniences which are annoying when you pay a handsome amount to relax.

Great swimming pool area and good location to visit Cortona

We paid for a deluxe room, same price as the newly refurbished rooms, but our room was an old room. Room next to the reception, noisy, no privacy on terrace from room and windows. some light bulbs didn’t work, noisy aircon and bathroom noise from room above. Staff were rude several times. We were told not able to dine at the restaurant for lunch at 1:45 when it is open until 2:30. One lady told us off on our own terrace. Tried to charge an extra nights full rate, even though we had called and emailed to change our booking date. They conceded in the end that we were correct. However, spent quite a long time “negotiating” how much we would pay them for the night we weren’t staying before they acknowledged that we didn’t have to pay anything as had cancelled that extra night’s accommodation…

friendly, helpful staff. beautiful setting, lovely trees and perfect Italian Tuscan buildings. It was our fourth stay since 2016. Always the best breakfast in town!

Roads on property were terribly unkempt. Deep pot holes, no new gravel, slippery walk down from parking lot. Could not cool our hot room with air conditioner. Didn’t have any good night sleeps as our building baked in sun all day and held the heat!
