Perfect place to stay if you take an early train - no fuss

Great location, helpful staff and good room

Great location in the Fort area within a 10 minute walk to Fort station and close walk to Galle Face Green and other attractions. Lots of ATMs, money exchanges and supermarkets in the area. Staff were really helpful and welcoming. The train we wanted to book was sold out at the station but they were able to help us buy tickets. Free tea and coffee was available to help yourself. Breakfast was simple but good (eggs, toast, butter, jam). Wi-Fi, AC and hot water worked well. Room was bigger than expected. Toiletries provided.

The communal areas (other than the nice reception area) were not that clean, including where the breakfast and tea/coffee was served, often with flies hanging around the tea/coffee.

Despite a few drawbacks, I fully recommend this hotel

This hotel is at the best location, easily approachable from bus and train. Markets and many tourist attractions are nearby. I had a private room. It had a nice AC and a window to the street. All the staff was nice, friendly and helping. I would especially name Thamal who has been very cooperative and very helpful. Free coffee and tea was available 24/7. There are several nice and cheap restaurants nearby.

The room was very small and basic. Bathrooms were common and passable. There are bars and discos around. One is just across the street that was very noisy at weekend nights.

La capacidad de solventar un problema provocado por la pagina, ofreciendo otra opción por casi el mismo precio. El personal fue cordial y amable. El desayuno estuvo bien, tostadas con mantequilla, mermelada y 1 huevo. Había café y te gratis.

Frente del hotel hay una discoteca y se escucha la música hasta las 01:30 siendo viernes la noche que dormimos allí.

Good location but stay could’ve been better

Breakfast on second day wasn’t provided even if we had breakfast was included. There was no one to even take our order.

Location very central and staff very attentive. The helped me get a SIM for my phone which worked out much cheaper than the airport and they exchanged money for me also which saved money and time.

Room was windowless and the air conditioner was very loud. Someone unlocked and entered my room during the night - albeit by accident. Breakfast very basic and not great. I feel bad leaving a negative as the staff weer so nice.

Excellent budget hotel.

I don't understand some of the low scores because there's nothing wrong with this hotel. No, it's not like the cozy Guesthouses you find elsewhere in the country, but it's a spotless clean typical big city basic budget hotel like the ones you find elsewhere in the world. Basic, big enough room with a bed and a desk. Lots of power outlets to charge all your gadgets. The common bathrooms were kept clean at all times, and there were so many of them on each floor. A nice common room with tables and chairs, free tea and coffee, a nice rooftop sitting area, and excellent WiFi (to be Sri Lanka anyway). Friendly staff too. Superb location right in the thick of things in the Fort. Restaurants and bars literally on their doorstep.

The location was convenient in the Fort area. A good property with access to some popular bars and landmark areas in walking distance. Staff was polite and helpful.

A hostel vibe was missing, may be it was due to off-season.

Great stay.

Booked a private room as a short-term stay before heading to the airport. Really impressed by how modern and clean everything was, especially the bathroom. It's nice that there's a mini fridge for leftovers and chilling water too. The single rooms are all on their own hallway that's very quiet and private. The location is also an easy walk or tuktuk ride from the Fort train station and right by the Dutch Hospital restaurant area. I talked to one of the new owners who said they are making investments in the property and it already seemed better than I expected based on current reviews.

The private rooms don't have windows, which some may see as a negative, but I think it helps with soundproofing and light pollution, especially for just a short stay.

Kind staff, great location near to the city centre, normal rooms, fast wifi, missed out breakfast

It was perfect for one night. Normal, clean room, really kind staff, excellent location, fast wifi.

We left around 8 a.m. and we couldn't have the breakfast we paid for, because the chef was coming to work around 8 am. They could have been resolve this somehow (e.g. a sandwich and a water to go).

Location is good. Nice people.

The private rooms with bathrooms really aren’t worth the price when there are no windows (wasn’t in mine) and no option of a double bed (two singles). TV didn’t work though they offered to change the room if I needed a TV. Not the most comfortable beds either and breakfast was disorganised. I got a couple of slices of watermelon that looked off/couple of days old and a passable omelette. Some juice would be great or a fruit salad. The stay doesn’t justify the price. There are much better options in Colombo and it doesn’t cost much more to stay in a really nice hotel.

Fantastic location, right in the heart of Colombo Fort. Good price, and I appreciated the inclusion of a little bar fridge. Staff were very friendly.

It's a very nice budget place in the centre of Colombo. The staff was very kind and polite and the bed was really comfortable. Everything was fairly clean, too. I also appreciated the free breakfast.

The room felt slightly stuffy but it wasn't terrible and I was able to sleep well.

Best service ever had from a bed space.

Stayed first time in a bunk bed. Nothing to worry about. Plenty of bathrooms and toilets available. Easy access to the heart of colombo. Breakfast was very good. Room and bed was clean. Unlimited wifi and comfortable AC room. I didnt expect this much for the price.
