We had a wonderful time!! House was very comfortable and exceeded expectations!

Excellent property, view and location. Clean and again beautiful. Management was fantastic with special thanks to Mary, Gina and the owner. Staff went above and beyond. When the air conditioning went out, a portable AC unit was provided (although not needed) and repairs to main unit promptly made. And owner provided a mattress topper for my elderly mother-in-law. Highly recommend. We plan to stay here again in the future.

Great experience for our family!

Five of us stayed at this magical house for 4 nights for a family reunion. We LOVED it! It has: a wonderful ocean view in a quiet neighborhood, a great layout, comfortable sitting, beautiful decor, a welcoming courtyard, a front (though narrow) porch area for watching the waves and sunsets, and an INCREDIBLBE array of recreation toys: all sizes of beach cruisers w/helmets, strollers, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, beach towels... and beach access (down many steep stairs, not good for elderly) This is not to say the house was perfectly pristine. If you are VERY picky about tiny things you can find "less than perfect" blemishes: light switches that don't work, a few older window screens that are salt-corroded and pushing out, a misaligned kitchen cabinet door, low shower heads, a front screen door that is difficult to open, and the need for extra bath towels and door hooks. (Also NOTE: the 180° ocean view is beautiful and unobstructed to the south, but has an unsightly power pole at its northern angle) But for us, the alarm system was most annoying. It announced EVERY time - to the whole house in a loud robot voice - which door or window was opening. (Though safe, we felt on house arrest at night (or early morning) when we wanted to go outside or open a window but didn't want to wake up those still sleeping!) However, these are small, slightly annoying things and shouldn't be deal breakers even in the least. It IS a magical house and I highly recommend.

Our family had the best time. The house was set up perfectly for together time. The outside area was my favorite. Mary went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.

From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of this property! The layout of the home was functional, the views breathtaking and the location was amazing! Mary was attentive and informative. We appreciated all the “extras”(welcoming treats & beverages, a variety of kitchen gadgets/supplies, beach toys & gear and ample beach towels). If you are planning on visiting San Diego, this property will not disappoint!!

Annual family vacation - 9 people ages 3 to 83. Excellent location with great access to the beach. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of beach toys and chairs, a wide array of sleeping options. We all agreed - it was one of the best vacation rentals we have shared.

Yearly trip to the beach with friends. Perfect spot for watching surfers, kite surfers, waves and beautiful sunsets. Love how close to the beach this house is and it has everything you need for a perfect beach day.(coolers, chairs, mats, towels, umbrellas and beach toys galore!) This rental was definitely the best equipped home we have ever stayed which made the week even better. Mary was amazing! So responsive and took care of all our needs! Love this home and would love to return.

This was our second stay at the property. The location and view are my favorite parts. There is plenty of room and all the essentials are included which is very convenient. Mary is very attentive and helpful with all requests. The only negative was that the furniture is showing its age (bed was very creaky and couches sag, and the hall shower is unusable with no water pressure. Small inconveniences that would not stop me from booking this property again.

This is the 5th time in 15 years that we have stayed at this house. We always keep coming back because of the wonderful family and friend memories we have made over the years. I know we will come back again!

Have been to many many places throughout the area, and this is on the top of the list for a family or 2 couples. Lots of space, and can’t beat the view or location. It’s a locals surf spot, so there’s a bit of activity during the day. Didn’t mind it at all though, and it’s nice and quiet at night. Coming back for sure.

The property was very nice, the view spectacular and the entire reservation and check-in process was smooth and painless. Very friendly hosts and great amenities. Couldn't have asked for more, great experience overall. The house is at the end of a dead-end which is a lookout point for watching surfers and sunsets. Although it does get quite a bit of traffic throughout the day and up until sunset, we enjoyed people watching along with watching the surfers and wildliife. The PB pier is within walking distance and many choices for coffee shops, breakfast, lunch, dinner and even night life. Great stay!

If you are traveling with a group of family and friends - this is the perfect spot! Location is unrivaled and the layout of the property not only offers privacy for all but a wonderful space for gathering. Of course, the view is spectacular!

Our vacation was amazing from the personal greeting we received from Mary upon arrival. She made sure we knew everything we needed to know about the home as well as restaurants in the area. Upon learning out son was a fan of record stores, she graciously made a list of those near us to check out. For us, a vacation is all in the details and personal touches and Mary nailed it! Mary also left us some treats as she knew we were celebrating our anniversary. She really went above and beyond. The home was perfect for us as it has beautiful views for those cold days and yet only a few steps to the beach for those wonderful warm, sunny days. Although the house literally had everything we needed we did venture out. We really enjoyed how close we were to the boardwalk and pier. Our son and his girlfriend enjoyed going for bike rides to the boardwalk--lots of fun! We hope to be back soon.

House was in a great location - across from beach and walking distance to town shops/restaurants. Mary was amazing with communication and greeted us as soon as we arrived! We had an amazing family vacation!

We truly enjoyed this property's excellent location, off-street parking, and spectacular oceanfront views. The inclement weather during our stay didn't allow us to take advantage of the outside patio, but the gas grill was a plus. The house is very spacious and the well-appointed kitchen set-up allowed for "many cooks". Property manager Mary met us on arrival, checked in on us the next morning, and was very attentive to our requests throughout our stay. Now for the downside - our party consisted of five adults (two couples and a single). The house has wonderfully spacious common gathering areas, but is better suited to two couples and a child or two due to the bedroom set-up. The third bedroom is small and extremely cramped, with two beds, one of which is pushed up against the closet. The third bathroom is across the hall and also very cramped, with a small shower stall and pedestal sink (no vanity). It appears that the primary master ensuite bath has been nicely remodeled, but the other ensuite and the hall bath need to be updated. The house is definitely showing its age and is a bit banged up. Exterior metal doors don't close properly, hardwood floors near the entry doors are water-stained, and walls and baseboards need some patching and fresh paint. To be fair, we may not have noticed so many of the cosmetic flaws had we been able to spend more time enjoying the outdoor areas, but other guests may have the same impression.

A few friends and I stayed for a long weekend and couldn’t be happier! The place is better (and bigger) than we thought, perfect location, the place was spotless, and Mary was fantastic!! She met us at check in and gave a walkthrough of the place and the communication and accommodations couldn’t have been better! We had the best sunsets too right from the front porch! Will 100% recommend and will def be staying here again if I come back to SD!

2nd stay here. Lovely panoramic ocean view. Very clean. I didn’t cook this stay but kitchen is very well stocked. Home is decorated in a beautiful, very comfortable, yet understated way..perfect backdrop for the gorgeous view. Fun people-watching too…close to so many neat places. Well designed for couples traveling together because of the 2 bedrooms with attached baths. We didnt use the 3rd bedroom or 3rd bathroom across from it. As we were 4 seniors we appreciated that we had no stairs.

Loved the location of this home. Views and sunsets were amazing. Each morning we would walk the path along the water to an eventual breakfast spot. We hope to return again.

Fun beach house overlooking the ocean we /loved watching the surfers/beautiful sunsets . Lots of good seating areas in the house. There is a fair number of people who park near the house and enjoy the view for awhile, but we really didn’t mind them. We would rent again.

We stayed here to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday over Christmas! The weather was wonderful for December and the views from this beach home were incredible! Although it was a different way to spend Christmas, I brought along our stockings and hung them from magnetic hooks on the fridge for a more festive feel. Mary, the property manager, could not have been more gracious and welcoming to our family. She communicated with me prior to our arrival and made herself available in case we had any questions during our stay. We appreciated the candy and refreshments available for us to enjoy as well. Our group of seven consisted of a mix of teenagers and adults and we were able to spread out nicely due to the two living rooms and gorgeous little porch. We enjoyed using the bikes and if it were summer, I know our kids would have used the boogie boards too. Thank you so much for your hospitality and we hope we can return one day!
