The staff were very helpful and polite. The breakfast was excellent and a lovely light dining room.
Nothing. Everything was fine. A good location. A few minutes to the walls.

Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. We were lucky enough to get the last parking spot at the hotel.
Having to arrive early so we could get parking.

The breakfast was great
Was not able to deliver the expected service and unclear answers in question. We were told that the room was ready when we arrived but wasn’t. We left to give them time to clean when we came back, the room was still unready and we were told to move somewhere. When we moved to the new room, the aircon was broken and was told that they will try to fix it. We left again to give them time to fix and when we came back it was still not fixed. They were avoiding to remedy the things that was wrong. We were being treated badly and our concerns were just being avoided.

The staff we spoke to were very nice.
Unfortunatley this wasn't for us, we did not like the room, it's very tired looking, toilet handle not great, the room was by a busy road which we felt was going to be a big problem trying to sleep. This hotel was more for business people than a place to stay for a weekend break.

Lovely room - a walk across the rd to the city centre

The shared areas were good spec. Warm cookie on arrival & reception staff were friendly.
No shower gel on arrival (empty), requested shower gel be refilled on 2nd day and were informed they were waiting for a delivery (so had a small bottle good for one use delivered to a room with 2 people in). Promptly ran out - asked them to replace it, and didn’t happen - so ran out of shampoo + shower gel. Stayed for 3 nights.
The room was pretty dated - with only a small main light in the corner of the room so pretty dimly lit - other than some halogen side lamps (heated up through use - not even LEDs)!
A/C was also dated and room was pretty hot and when AC was on, sounded like a plane was about to take off!
Overall don’t really see how it’s attached to the Hilton brand / even the doubletree brand - as have stayed in their one in Leeds before and the difference was night and day!

My dog and I often stay here when in York. Always feel welcome. Central location. Good size room. Clean. Parked in the hotel car park.
A few more hotel parking spaces would be handy especially during peak season

The bathroom didn’t have anywhere to put toiletries which was quite inconvenient and the armchair in the room was unsuitable - very uncomfortable

The staff at the hotel were OK and the breakfast was very good
I has room 2 and it was clean but looked quite tarnished. When I returned to the hotel around 10ish, the room was cold and it had turned cold outside. There were no instructions of how to put the heater on and I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep. I rang reception and the night reception manager came to help fix this situation, which he did admirably. However having got the room heater working I still felt cold as it took time to heat up. The manager then found me another heater to heat the room. After all of this it would have been good to have a cupper to warm myself. However, I didn't think of looking in the wardrobe for the tea things! I only knew these were there when I discovered them in the morning. There didn't appear to be any book in the room explaining any of this.
All in all I didn't feel that my room was worth what I paid for it - I was very disappointed..

Clean, spacious and the location was spot on.
We didn’t like how the bathroom door opened on to the car park outside, not entirely the best if you have small children who are inquisitive.

On arrival I was upgraded to larger double. The hotel and rooms where very clean an fresh. Great location for walking into City of York. Lots to do and see.
In this day and age all you Hotels should be offering for free at least a continental type breakfast, filtered coffee and or tea, even OJ.

.
The room we had was at the front of the hotel, on one of the main roads into York. The noise is horrendous, we had no sleep and asked to be moved for day 2. We were moved to the back of the hotel which is much quieter, but were then woken up early the day after as the room was over the service yard. Terrible sleep for the 2 nights we were there.

Nothing to do like in Hilton...worst experience....I will convey this message to Nestle switzerland team please never suggest anyone to stay in Hilton York.
The Hilton hotel is worst ; they still haven't refunded my £157. The staff told me that the refund would be processed within 30 days, and now it's been almost 2 months and still no refund. Plus, I haven't received any response to my emails either.

Staff were ovely, both at reception and in the bar and restaurant - food was great, we had a nice dinner in the restaurant - the room was cosy and comfortable and the hotel is in a good location and was very quiet
I don't have any real complaints

The cleanliness wasn’t totally satisfactory

Location of hotel is ideal for the City
The condition of the decor. Badly in need of a fresh in up

The bar reception area
The room. Small. Uncomfortable. Felt like we was at a drive in motel in America. We didn’t even stay the night. We ended up leaving.

Great location with parking, staff very helpful and friendly, bar area very nice, and rooms nice.
The area of the building we were in was very creaky which is only a problem at night when trying to sleep and the very heavy doors that bang shut

Location for walking into York
Reception staff very pleasant- especially Italian young man who checked us out
Size of bedroom!! Could just about walk around the bed!! Stayed here several years ago!! Whilst the room was very clean we had no room for getting ready at the same time.

Nothing Much was good.
1 window inoperative, exessive noise and swearing from utility area below our room, exessive car parking charge, no toilet brush, bathroom light inoperative, breakfast luke warm and probably cooked 2 hours previously.

The location was perfect, walking distance to the Minster and other significant attractions. The staff were very nice and extremely accommodating.
There was no window in the room, only a skylight which had no cover. Also, I was in a back building which had stairs, which thankfully a staff member assisted with my luggage going up, but I had to carry it down.

The location was perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and comfortable. The hotel restaurant and bar were very nice.
The only thing we didn’t like was that we were in a building across the parking lot from the main building. There was no lift and quite a few steep, narrow steps to go up with our luggage. We ate 68 and 70, but in good shape so we could manage it. I don’t know how someone in worse shape could get up there and take their luggage up, too.

Room was lovely and comfortable, staff were all really helpful. Loved the shampoo and conditioner in the room.
We struggled to work the air conditioning and although set on the coldest setting the room still felt really warm

Central and easy to find. Right by Monk Bar and a few minutes to The Shambles. Easy access to walk the wall. Well appointed rooms and fantastic breakfast.
8.0
Good self-service breakfast with plenty of choice of hot and cold food. Coffee could have been better as it was a bit weak for my liking.
The nearest car park is Monk Bar - where they charge you £20 per day - which is only £5 cheaper than the hotel charges.

The location was great
Room was dark and dingy couldn’t see out of the window which is fine but the lighting was poor. There was no cookie on arrival so don’t know why it stayed we would receive this. Had to sit in reception for an hour waiting for our room to be cleaned at 4pm. Bed was hard and not comfortable and the coffee at breakfast was not drinkable it was awful

I requested a walk-in shower when I booked. We were given a very small double room with a shower over the bath, at the very back of the hotel - not great. After speaking with Tom at reception we were given a lovely room on the first floor of the main building. Thank you Tom, it made a huge difference to our stay.
The toilet area of the bathroom was quite tight for a tall person.
The hotel parking is very expensive, £25 a night. We parked at Monkbar Mews public car park, which is across the road from the hotel. We pre booked online with Your Parking Space for £25 for 2 days.

Location
Room was a little tatty, shower lacklustre and we were downgraded a room due to maintenance issues. We were given drinks vouchers but would have preferred a refund of the difference. Breakfast was ok but bacon was quite soggy.

Location
The family room we stayed in was out dated
And not clean we even had to wipe stains from the light switches. Also the £25 onsite parking is a joke
4.0
Location was good, breakfast was good
Restaurant was missing multiple items, no drinks menu. No sauces for the steaks, steak got sent back as it was way over cooked. Room was poor for the price in the loft if a seperate building, pillows were very bad.
