Wonderful view and balcony facing Ria Formosa. Only a few steps away from the beach and lovely restaurants for breakfast, dinner & lunch. The ferry to downtown Faro is approx 15 mins walk along the beach or the river.
The hotel has a nice collection of books and magazines for guests to read in multiple languages.
For those less able to walk, there is no lift. The stairs are quite wide and just a short climb though. The airport is really close (which was a plus for us as we were arriving late), so during the day you'll have some planes flying over your head.

I loved practically everything: from the location to the warm and service minded staff.
Some parts look worn - the hotel needs some refreshing.

Lage direkt am Strand, viele Restaurants in der Nähe. Nähe zum Flughafen. Restaurant und Bar im Hotel, viele Parkplätze. Sehr nettes Personal. Ideal für 1. oder letzte Etappe

Aeromar is a good hotel. It is not modern, but it is the seafront place and the location is very good. As mentioned, the facilities are quite old but everything is working and you won't feel any discomfort during your stay.
Be aware that there you probably few electrical outlets in the bedroom. We were a group of 3 persons and there were only 2 sockets in the room *including one in the bathroom. So, this is the only issue we faced during our stay.

location is decent if you want to be near the airport before an early morning flight which clearly bumps up the price compared to hotels in the nicer resorts. good for a 1 night stay but get a bus accross to the main resorts of the Algarve

Very nice location . Good staff very friendly went above and behind for my stay .
Food was good . Evening was good . Again staff was friendly always helped with my bad Portugues . Definitely would go back and Definitely would recommend
Unfortunately there was no kettle . But you can can go down stairs to get tea or coffee in the middle of the night . Staff very helpful

Excellent location for the lovely beach. Good selection of bars, cafe's and restaurants nearby. The rooftop terrace with loungers / chairs was perfect for a relaxing time. Good links by bus to Faro / airport and an option to use the water boat to Faro.
Coffee making facility in room would have been good but the cafe in the hotel was reasonably priced with good selection of snacks etc

The staff was amazingly helpful and nice. I liked the slightly old-fashioned decor of the hotel (especially the lounge!), as well as the balcony with a lagoon view. We went there off-season, so the strip of the beach where the hotel was situated was really calm and beautiful, especially compared to somewhat loud and touristic centre of the city. The air quality was really something else and there are bird watching spots all around.
The hotel restaurant offers breakfast and the "touristic menu" for dinner. I highly recommend the latter, especially if you're ready for copious amounts of good food.
Some reviewers mentioned the slight smell from the bathroom, and we noticed that too - the bathroom is clean, but I think the origin of the smell might be because of the form of the pipes used (my parents' bathroom has the same problem). It doesn't mean it's not clean, if you're keeping the lid down, the smell goes away.
I'd say the breakfast was decent, but in the end we preferred getting coffee and pastries at the restaurant cafe - the coffee was way better in the cafe and we paid less.

The off season value was great! Can't beat the location, this place is the best.Love the snack bar with coffee. Its really the best place to stay in Faro flying in, super close to the airport, right on the beach, close to food, buses, and ferry into town.
Shower doesn't drain well when water on but does once you shut it off. Bed is very firm and springs can make some people sore. Noisy when live music on but just have to stay up late and adjust sleep schedule.

Old-style hotel, it felt like going back in time to the 1970s but that’s not such a bad thing. Location is nice, with a good view from the room and the breakfast room. Breakfast buffet was quite nice.
Bed was hard. Some aircraft noise in the morning due to the proximity to the airport.

However it is great if you want to get the experience of a vacation back in the sixties :)

Very friendly and helpful staff! The location is superb.
We stayed in this hotel two months earlier and the room was very well equipped and everything about it was perfect. Now this time we got another room which was very old fashioned, not very well equipped and in general just not that nice.

The hotel is in a fantastic location and has a good restaurant downstairs
The hotel is bang average; the inside is outdated, the shower hardly worked and the inside isn't particularly comfortable considering the high price of the hotel.

We didn’t have the food when we were there but it was a great location for the beach!
Public transport was quite difficult to get to the hotel but that isn’t the hotel’s fault!

loved the location, the food, the brilliant restaurant staff , all extremely friendly people and made us feel super comfortable they served us really well thank you so much “Jonny and Bruno “ The place would not be the same without your service

The bathroom is a bit old fashion and quite small
and the hotel could do with some refurbishment for the price listed , but it does have character
