Experiencia agridulce

La cama y almohada súper cómodas y el personal súper agradable. Tenia champu y gel en pastilla, son súper eficientes, pensé que no haría espuma para el pelo, pero me encantó.

El baño, tenia la tapa del wc roto y se caía cada rato. La habitación olía a tabaco al entrar. Se escuchaba todo del pasillo y los coches.

Great central option for a good night’s sleep

I loved that they had no plastic and low-waste toiletries in the room! The location really is excellent, very close to the bus station, beach and all the restaurants and bars. It was quiet and extremely clean and the balcony was really useful for drying clothes, and there’s a desk if you need to work with a plug socket right there - not always the case! Wifi was fine. The bed was extremely comfy and the air con good. It was very clean and they will clean and make-up your room daily if you leave early enough. You will sleep well here. I regret only trying nearby El Café de Inês on the last day, they have an amazing choice for breakfast. I tried the also very nearby Meson Mari y Miguel and can recommend it for traditional fare. As others have said, the staff/owners are nice and helpful.

As a solo traveller, I found it a little impersonal tbh, as they don’t staff reception unless they need to and there are no common areas except the lobby. I can see how that would appeal to some people. You get a posh hotel anonymity and room servicing without the posh hotel price. I really wished there was a fridge and a kettle, or at least the former, so I could make tea in the morning or, at least, enjoy cold drinks on the balcony. Both Aldi and Lidl are nearby. There is certainly room in the room but with the price of electricity currently that would probably be too much of an expense. There’s no lift so you need to be mobile and not have heavy suitcases, however they would certainly help you carry these.

can be a bit noisy due to central location . a clothes rack to dry clothes on balcony would be a great addition .

We liked the bed it was the perfect size, we had a terrace and there were plenty of plug sockets, the staff were also very nice and tried to communicate with a bit of English

They supply shampoo and body wash but no toothpaste

Good value hostal

Excellent location for seeing the town. Near everything. Very clean room and reception guy very pleasant.

Room was very small. We hate shower curtains ! Bathroom was tiny ! Not the hostales fault, but parking in Almuñécar is a nightmare and trying to understand the parking colour coding is just downright difficult!

Centrally located, convenient for bus station and amenities

Rocamar is centrally located, very convenient for the bus station, shops, restaurants and the centre. The beach is only 5 minutes. The room and common areas were all clean. The owner was very pleasant and helped with a few issues, although the staff were absent most of the time.

Cheap standard room. Good location.

The location was good, close to shops and restaurants. We had a balcony with two chairs. Room had sitcom which is a must in the summer.

We were two guests and they only provided us with one tiny bottle of gel and shampoo. I would have expected at least one of each per guest. The room wasn't perfectly clean (I don't mean it was dirty either), but the bed cover smelled like food and the bathroom shelf was covered in long term dust. The room needed a deep clean. Thin walls. You could hear the next door guests' conversations.

Disappointing

The bed as firm. The location was near to the bus station.

The shower bracket was not attached to the wall, we told the owner & he came to attach a new one but it was still not attached properly. So it was difficult to use the very tiny shower. After the first night we asked for a room clean but didn't get one & when we arrived the bathroom bin had not been emptied The room cost €50 per night it was only worth€25. Our room was tiny.

Comfortable/clean and welcoming

Convenience to town,beach,restaurants,bank and shops etc. Also ,pleasant helpful staff..Good Wi-fi. Efficient heating,

This was a great and convenient place to stay. The room was comfortable and the en-suite was good. The staff was friendly and accommodating, providing space for our bicycles. I would recommend this place, it is great value for money! Thanks
