The location was great.
The staff spoke no English, and I couldn’t get the shades closed.

Great location and nice staff.
The air conditioner was not working and it was hot. Daytime temps 30 + degrees. The staff provided a fan but the room was stuffy and quite warm.

Very helpful and pleasant receptionist. Clean, modern room with good bathroom. I booked a room for one and it had everything I needed for a good night’s sleep. Great location. Free coffee in good reception sitting area.
Very off-putting entrance through a building site with several flights of stairs to reception. Stairs below reception level have no handrails and there is no lift as yet.

It was basic...but it's a hostel and I expected that.

The receptionists are super friendly and helpful, the hostal is close to all the attractions and the room was very clean.
there was quite a bit of street noise despite the double glazing but I guess that’s the price you pay for a great location on a Saturday night!

Noise all night from students talking and partying on Calle Sagasta.

Very clean with good location and friendly / helpful staff. Coffee machine in the lounge was great!
No kitchen facilities and only paid laundry service available. Not convenient for Camino Pilgrims. Aircon in the room did not cool.
