Great value for money

Perfect location for visiting Addo Elephant Park. Great price, equipped kitchen and private braii. Nice garden and pool area.

We had feeling that after we told the owners we won’t take any tours from them (they have safari car and drive tourists to see the game) - suddenly the interest into us as guests was gone.

Nice and good value for money

Very close to Addo Elephant Park. Nice property with nice garden and pool. Staff lovely and helpful.

Very thin walls so not sound proof. Our room was behind reception and we could even hear receptionist typing at keyboard and their conversation. Our fridge hadn’t been cleaned.

Welcoming and helpful hosts. Beautiful property with big trees. Spacious and comfortable apartment with heat and plenty of blankets (much appreciated in the winter). Kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Parking in front of our apartment. Property felt secure/safe. Quick drive to Addo Elephant National Park.

There is WIFI throughout the property. Depending on your apartment location, the signal may not be very strong. We had to sit outside our place to get a WIFI signal. Not a big problem.

Great location and huge room, but lots of insects inside

The location was great! A short drive away from the Addo Elephant National Park, and based in a quiet area with a private parking spot. The room was also big enough, and the bathroom as well. We had a friendly introduction with the terrain thanks to the friendly host, who referred us to a nice restaurant closeby.

Due to the fact that there was a small pond with water that's standing still right behind our room, and possibly leaving all the windows open during the day, the room was packed with mosquitos.... At least 30 of them everywhere. Even though we managed to (at least we thought we did) caught them all, we still got some mosquito bites during the night. Also a couple of huge moths in our room, which meant a hunt for us to lead them outside.

Night away in Addo.

Lots of space for kids to play and rooms were clean.

Be aware of Mosquitos at this spot as our 2 kids got bitten so badly. We ended up taking them to the doctor because it was so bad. Perhaps spray should be provided or informed of this? Strangely friends staying in the area didn't have an issue at all. Wifi didn't work in the room. The room wasn't ready when we arrived, at the arranged time. The linen needs a bit of an upgrade, very well used with "bobbles" all over it.

Wonderful place to stay! Perfect location, clean and beautifully decorated rooms with friendly staff and great food.

Just take mosquito repellent with. In summer they are a nuisance.

The facilities are neat and clean. Thank you for a comfortable bed and proper milk, not powdered milk! It's the small details that make a big difference. Well done!

I have 2 suggestions. Please consider a long mirror in the room. Please supply mosquito room spray in the room. Otherwise, there are no other comments.

Absolutely loved our stay!! Beautiful room, beautiful people and value for money.

We used the self catering option so never had breakfast. The rooms were clean and beds comfy. Its the second time we have stayed and love the setting and beautiful gardens and cute little surprises in the garden. A swim in the pool was a real treat and cool down after a day at Addo park. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The owners are warm and welcoming and make you feel at home.

The ONLY gripe i have is that there is not enough kitchen utensils for a self catering situation. Things i looked for: cutting board, sharp knife, bread knife, extra plates etc. One other thing is that the little two plate oven is in bad condition and does not make one feel like using it. But we braai'd and ate out so never made much difference to us in the end. Just a small observation from my end.

Gardens are beautiful, host was friendly and welcoming, the unit contained the basic amenities

There was no hot water on account of the load shedding, also there is a serious mosquito problem which really affects your ability to sleep well. Maybe put in mosquito plugs. Also so units don't have air conditioners which is a necessity in Addo due to the heat.

The property is surrounded by a nice garden with beautiful trees. The breakfast room is also very pleasant but unfortunately the breakfast was not so good.

Don’t go to Homestaid bed & breakfast in the wet season!!!! It's infected by mosquitoes, there is a pond on the ground, and although the owner provides sprays of all kinds, you can't avoid them..,,. Our self catering unit looks great at first sight but the bedroom was very dark and there was a bad smell in the bathroom. Because of the mosquitos staying outside on the terrace was not an option which really impacted our 2 days stay. The power cut at 9pm for 2 hours left us with no other option than going to bed as the emergency light in the bedroom did not work. Not a great stay after all!

Great hosts and location- like family

Owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Even though there was a mix up in the booking due to incorrect details through Booking.com the owners went out of their way to rectify this and sort it out for us. My mum celebrated a special milestone birthday, and she was spoilt with champagne, a special candle and song from the staff Breakfasts were am azing and very tasty and the room was comfortable and had everything that was needed. The gardens are truly beautiful with lots of nooks and crannies and things to discover. This guest house is also in very close proximity to a local supermarket as well as other restaurants and of course Addo Elephant park which makes the location fabulous. We would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommended for some peace and quiet.

The accommodation is quiet, lush, the rooms are clean and cosy. The setting is picturesque, and the pool was great. An idyllic rest stop on our way to Addo National Park.

The shower water was cold.
