THE VIEW from the window. Try to ask for the room on top floor with a view on Mt. Fuji. You will thank me later :)
A really good buffet food in the restaurant, super comfortable sento bath on the ground floor.
Nearby park makes stay more comfortable.
Relatively cheap for the value it offers.
Personel is mega helpful and friendly, even by japanese standards.
Bus station is not far from here (5min by walk).
It's not a downside of a hotel per say but a bit of a warning for backpackers or people without a car - location.
Fuji-shi is not the prettiest city in Japan and there's not much to do nearby. It's an industrial area and it shows. Hotel is located in a bit more cozy location nearby river and a big central park but it's still a city of Showa heavy industry. Still, it's a good option for those who want to stay close to Shinkansen line and visit more expensive places like Atami or just enjoy Fuji mountain (great area for walking up north!).
Another thing is that it is a bit far from the Fuji-Station (40min) and even further from the shinkasen line Shin-Fuji Station(>1 hour). Hotel is a typical road-inn hotel, meaning it's not located perfectly for the public transport. I had lots of time to walk on foot but if you are on tight schedule, be warned that you have to rely on bus to reach the hotel. The shortest path leads through the most smelly and bad looking (but really safe!) area of the city where paper industry is seemingly located.

We stayed at this hotel to see Mount Fuji. The view was pretty good from the upper deck of the parking garage. (In close by Chuo Park there are lots of opportunities to see the mountain without powerlines :) It helps to get up early because the haze and the clouds really come in later in the day. One early evening we couldn't tell there was a mountain.)
The room price included a breakfast buffet - a mixture of western and Japanese. We took advantage of the restaurant - the dinner was beautifully prepared and tasted delicious.

We went to the amusement park on Fuji and there’s probably places a bit closer to the action.

Very clean, excellent full Japanese breakfast
Location is quite suburban - as I was cycling from the station this did not matter to me.

The breakfast buffet offered a relatively wide variety of simple but hearty fare. Likewise, the bathhouse was simple, but a pleasant facility to have. Free parking was great. Next to a nice park. One of our rooms had a solid view of Mt Fuji.
The bed in my room was not super comfortable. I was expecting slightly better bedding. The provided pajamas were too small for my size.

The bed sheets are cozy and comfortable. Worth the price.
It says fabolous buffet breakfast but when we try to check in, they already told us that there will be no buffet in breakfast but a fixed breakfast will be serve in a tray.. they should have updated the booking site, I was hoping for a buffet breakfast tho. The food wasnt delicious.
