The apartment is in an excellent location, right in the heart of the town's Old Town and around the corner from the charming Rathaus (town hall) square. Tubingen is a delightful place with a lively and very friendly atmosphere. The old town is full of history and there is plenty to explore within the cobbled streets (it's very hilly, so be prepared!). The apartment is small and located in an old building which provides some quirky aspects. The old building with its very thick walls does mean that it maintains a constant temperature inside which was great because we were in Tubingen during some very hot weather and the apartment remained nice and cool. It also has excellent double glazing which means it is very quiet once the windows are closed (just as well because resident pigeons nesting outside the window were rather noisy). It's really a studio apartment with a double bed and an extra section that can sleep one more person (this area can be curtained off but doesn't have a door). The double bed, kitchenette and dining table are all in the same room. There is also an ensuite bathroom. The faculties were mostly fine with a plug-in, two ring electric hotplate and microwave in the kitchen area for simple cooking and a small fridge (without a freezer section). The apartment was clean and linen and towels were provided. The hosts provide a phone number to call if anything is needed (the apartment was not serviced while we were there, but I expect you could request clean towels or extra toilet paper if you contact the host). The host also provides info on parking options in town (there is no parking at the apartment).

The description of the apartment states that there is a washing machine, but this is not in the apartment - there are two communal washer/dryer machines within the building that are coin-operated. Because they are communal there is no guarantee that they will be free when required and they do require quite a few Euros to operate. There was also a mat in the apartment with a curled up edge that was a potential trip hazard, so hopefully the hosts will replace this!

The owners were very helpful and replied quickly to all my questions.

The pots and pans were too big, and one of the pans was burnt and it was difficult to cook anything with it. They could also put some cooking oil for the guests, it is no big deal for them and can make things much easier for us. Also, the door in the living room leading to another apartment let the noise from the neighbors through, music, conversations, etc.

A little too small for the amount of money paid.

The location is great - is near the University, in the middle of city center. At the end of the street you can have a 180 degrees view of Tubingen. The most common image of Tubingen - Neckar and his colorful buildings - it is very close.

The room is cozy but it need some paint refreshment. The color is very dark for the dimension of the room. The kitchenette cabinet is crowded with all kind of staff and the cutlery are putted in a broken box. The velvet upholsterer's bed has some suspicious stains. The furniture is a mix between modern and old and created my a impression of random collected items.

The hosts were very responsive to questions in the app. My stay was somewhat long, so they also provided fresh towels and things during the middle of the stay.

the Netflix did not work properly and movies kept blocking the parking situation was complicated but that we knew in advance based on the.location there was no shower gel, would have expected it for the room price
