The location was good, amazing view of the sea and a nice big window to watch the sunrise
The blinds were broken and didn’t fit the window. There was only a net curtain in the bathroom that didn’t obscure much so we had to use the toilet in the dark so people didn’t see us. It wasn’t clean. Very poor lighting making it difficult once it got dark. Shower wasn’t very good, hardly any hot water and poor water pressure. It was one key to open the main door, inner door and bedroom door so I assume everyone had the same lock and key so we didn’t feel very secure. Windows were dirty with rubbish left in the sill outside.

A warm welcome from staff and the owners who had recently taken over the hotel. Fortunate fo find one of three parking spaces opposite hotel Location is ideal if you have a harbour facing room and the ability to climb stairs.
Shame the hotel was a little 'tired' and would be a fabulous place with more investment, Our room (4) was tiny we could just get around the double bed. The shower cubicle was opposite the door... actually in the room! Thankfully the handbasin and wc were 'ensuite'!
We had no hot water, yet we found we couldn't turn off the radiator in the WC - we had to keep the window open. There were no bedside lights. One of us was ill overnight and partner had to navigate around the double bed in a panic to switch the light on! There was no electricity supply in the wall by the bed other than one extension cable that supplied power to the kettle - it ran around two walls from the opposite wall (where there was two TV's - one wall mounted and one standing on the chest of drawers - we used neither.
No breakfast was available as we were told kitchen wasn't due to open until later that week so we missed out on a breakfast with a view. The dining and lounge area could be wonderful places to relax and enjoy.
Bed was very soft and springy and we prefer a firmer mattress but we were pleased the room was clean,

Rooms were modern and hard floor aided cleanliness due to sand. Views spectacular and central location meaning no need to drive during day or evening. Friendly staff. Dining area lovely
Bathroom outdated. Some DIY needed, curtain rail falling down and curtain hung over rail. Ceiling and walls look tatty (although newly painted) paper bubbling and lots of cracks in ceiling. Bathrooms old and run down. Shower poor and hot water takes 10mins to come through. Whilst its central which is good it's in a run down alley way. Entrance halls need updating. One door had a hole in which on first impressions caused concern re safety. Breakfast was pricey with limited gluten free optio a for a vegetarian so went elsewhere

Stunning views on the sea front.
Breakfast wasn't available.

No breakfast available
Room very poorly maintained, cracked washbasin, no bedside light, rubbish quality furniture, very thin curtains allowing street light in, doors not fitting/ jammed, bathroom floor broken, manager REFUSED cancellation when requested 1 hour after booking - very inconvenient and would not return call to discuss just sent NO in email 4 days later! Staff did not reply to email question about no breakfast. Not an enjoyable stay at all and will NOT RETURN!

Wonderfully clean, great location, the host was extremely welcoming and friendly answered any questions we had. The bed was SUPER comfortable we had a room on the top floor and they had put a new mattress and bed in it and honestly had wonderful sleeps
No complaints at all! Being a sea view room obviously seagulls will be having loud chats outside your window but that’s just part of being by the sea.

Superb view, helpful staff, excellent breakfast, great location near the beach.
Limited parking, 3 spaces for hotel. We parked but lucky with this.

The place is very central and easily accessible to the beachfront. Our room had a lovely big window with a great Seaview. Good sized room too.
The room needed some blackout curtains or blinds!!

Absolutely beautiful old building with lots of character, the sea view from our room was breath taking and it was lovely to have the option of also going into the lounge to watch tv and having a sea view for breakfast in the dining room too. The beds were all very comfy- the 8 year was confident in saying he slept well on the sofa bed, our double bed was very comfy, 4 year old slept solidly in the single bed and the room was immaculate. The manager of the building was very warm, friendly and accommodating even saying we could check in early if we wanted to. She was absolutely brilliant with our two lively boys and even introduced them to the hotel cat 'Tony' that lounges around outside. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent location at the heart of everything.
Low shower pressure meant washing was tricky BUT I expected this due to the age of the building. Some parts of the building are admittedly tired and need a quick spruce i.e. cosmetic, holes in walls, broken blinds, however this doesn't take away from the history, beauty and location of this building. I would definitely return.

Location was good.
We had a leak through the roof while we were out. No answer on the out of hours phone to help us as the bed was soaked through. We were assured we would get a full refund and up to now the property continue to ignore us as this hasn’t been made.
Disgusting customer service and zero sleep. AVOID!!!

Car parking and location good. Superb view
The room is very poor on all aspects. Ceiling too low, toilet seat doesn't fit, no where to hang coat hangers, decor terrible, bed too smal. The room would be more suited as a storage facility

Excellent location, the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean, spacious with the best sea view.(room 6) would definitely pick this room next time.
The hotel has a lack of staff after a certain time and we had to pick up our keys from the Central hotel, however we were given a free parking card.

The history of the building and the welcoming to our room. The gentleman was very informative and professional.
I thought everything was great, yes the building is a little tired but not enough to spoil our stay.

Loved the room, the view and how nicely tucked away the B and B was. A lovely private car park
