The place is a little bit outdated and requires some restoration. Especially a bathroom in our case (balcony seaview room) and a very noisy sliding front door! Would be nice to have a little bedside lamp next time. We also had to unplug a little fridge next to the bed at night, as it makes a lot of noise :D

I enjoyed my stay at Bubu Racok in Amed! So helpful and friendly hosts, I will come back :-) You have everything you need and the best beach view and access! The breakfast was always really good and prepared beautifully. You can have breakfast under the trees next to the beach and watch the fishermen return with their catch.

Awesome homestay where the family welcomes you like family. While driving here from Ubud I crashed my scooter at the foot of Mt Agung, and the people at this property did everything to help me, from bringing food upstairs to prepare my scooter for me to carrying my bag. Thank you for that. Really nice breakfast also. I couldn't enjoy snorkeling at the beach, which is only 15 meters away from the property. It's such a great location!

Wayan, his family and his place are just awesome! The ambiente felt like home just with an amazing beach just in front of the terrace. The Bedroom and the bath were very clean. Wayan also arranged a trip to the temple near by and our fast boat trip to the gilis. Most friendliest host ever!

We had the sea view room with a balcony. The toilet smelled like rotten eggs. I wondered why the window was left open. I shut it on arrival to stop mosquitoes coming in during the night but soon realised the horrible smell that brewed. There were ants on the walls. Especially in the bathroom there were loads. It wasn't very clean, especially the bathroom. It needs a good clean and a paint job. Just look a bit grubby in there. The window wouldn't shut properly. It looked almost bent out of place. So much so the noises from outside were so loud. The waves were loud but I like the sound of them. You will soon realise in Bali you need sound tight accommodation because there are roosters, birds, dogs and all sorts of noises venturing in your room in the early hours of the morning.

Clean, comfortable room with lovely balcony overlooking the sea. Tea provide in room. Staff so incredibly helpful & friendly. Breakfast on beach was amazing with so much thought & care. Wayan was always on hand & helped us with local information & hire a private boat for am amazing snorkelling day.

This was just a great stay. The owner and his family were so kind, helpful, they ensured more times during the day if we have everything and the service was really good. Breakfast was lovely, if you were more hungry there was no problem to ask for more. Room was very clean, comfortable, they serviced our room also during the day. definitely recommend this stay and we are coming back next time. The homestay exceeded all my expectations. The hospitality offered by wayan and his family went above and beyond, and they really gave me the feeling of being home. The room was beautiful, spacious and clean. Everyday I found some flowers on my bed, which was really cute! Also, the location was perfect, the homestay is right at the beach. Beautiful for sunrise and sunset! The perfect spot if you want to wind down a bit and relax yourself. Even though I traveled alone, I never felt alone in this place. I will definitely come back!

Breakfast every morning was amazing! Fresh fruit, pancakes, smoothies, the lot :) we were able to rent snorkels and bikes, everything was super easy! Not to mention the homestay is right next to the sea. It's completely beautiful!

We had a great stay at this homestay. Wayan and his family were very helpful and kind. We rent a scooter and had a massage near to the beach. Very close to the homestay are many possibilites to snorkeling. Highly recommended!

I came back after a few years and found the same friendly and familiar atmosphere. The homestay is right at the beach. Rooms are simple but everything necessary is provided: comfy bed, aircon, good wi-fi. I had a room at the back but there are also a couple of rooms at the front with seaview. Breakfast is delicious served always with a smile. I enjoyed the breakfast at the beach watching the fishermen come back in the morning, some happy with a good catch, others a bit disappointed. I also had barbeque at the homestay. Delicious. If you are looking for a simple friendly homestay in Amed this is the right place.

Now i see why this Homestay received a lot of good reviews: nice and big beachfront room, with AC and ceiling fan, a small fridge, a big bathroom with hot shower, yummy breakfast included and free tea and coffee all day long. They also provide towels for the shower. The staff is super nice and smiling. The breakfast is a fresh fruit juice, a choice between omelette with toast or pancake, and a plate of fresh fruit, plus of course tea or coffee. Tips about the rooms: choose the seafront room, otherwise the other rooms are not in a good location and looks little be sad. Spend few dollars more and choose the beachfront ones.

Beautiful family run Homestay! I can’t fault the staff nor the accommodation. The room was cleaned everyday, hot water/tea/coffee etc provided and replenished everyday. It is right on the water and a short walk away from a sunset view. Lots of restaurant within walking distance too and various dive schools if you are for scuba. They helped us find a driver for a local tour to Lahangan Sweet and Gateway to heaven temple as we did not ride scooter. Whatever you need they can help you with. Amazing breakfast included of eggs or pancakes with fruit platter and juice too! Super tasty and defo filled your belly in the morning. Stay here if you come to Amed!

We stayed at Bubu Racok 1 night. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The room was quite clean. They give complimentary coffee and tea all day. Very peaceful and a great value for money!

Very friendly family. I love how you get to experience some of the local life, so close to the beach you get to see all the fisher men return back to shore while their family members are waiting for them on the beach. Extra services such as laundy and renting an almost new motorbike were very cheap. Loved the thermos with hot water enabling us to enjoy a hot cup of tea/coffee at our convenience. Great location with lots of restaurants at walking distance.

Due to corona the area is very quiet at the moment which results in an atmosphere less than what it could be.

The host family was super friendly and helped us with everything. The room was really nice, big and clean and the breakfast was delicious! The Guesthouse is located directly at the beach, which is really nice and they even had snorkeling equipment. Our Stay was perfect and coudn‘t be better.

It was our second stay here and again it was just wonderful. The rooms are cute and very clean! They also clean it every single day. Bed was comfortable and we appreciated the small fridge in the room. Included breakfast was always enough and very delicious (vegan on request). The family is so nice and make you feel like home. We did laundry with them for a good price, had dinner there, rented a scooter, did a pick-up from Ubud. They offer everything you need for a relaxing stay in Amed. We will always come back and will recommend this place to our friends and family. P.S. if you want the fastest WIFI possible, choose the room with the sea view in the front next to the router ;)

Very good value for the price we paid (150k), room with the ocean view, all facilities that we needed, everyday cleaning, tasty breakfast. Owners are very nice and friendly people and we felt like at home.

The service is very good. I asked many things and all were entertained: a desk and a chair for work inside the room, pick up from the airport, renting a scooter for 2 weeks, early vegan breakfast and vegan dinner every night. Sure I had to pay more for the pick-up service, scooter and dinner, but the dinner was soo cheap compared to if I eat in a restaurant outside. Kadek and Wayan were super nice and friendly. The room and bathroom were super clean, as it was cleaned every day. For such a cheap room price, I got high-quality services!

I can't evaluate or judge...it's a whole ! The kindness of our host and his beautifull family. If you are found of tales, curiuous about Amed and its people's life along the sea, or Bali and Indonsia you're in the right place...It's not a luxurury homestay but a quiet and convenient place to move around for even activities you haven't thougt about.

The room is spacious, clean and bright and it’s located on the beach, it is very relaxing. The bathroom is also spacious and clean with hot water. The staff members are very kind. Love this place!

The breakfast was good. We had unlimited tea/coffee on our table. It's a perfect location if you wanna see the local fishermen coming back from the sea as you enjoy breakfast.
