This 3-bedroom, 2.5 bathroom beach home is complete with upscale beach chic furnishings, private rooftop deck with panoramic ocean views all the way to La Jolla. Spend your days surfing the waves, shopping in Carlsbad Village, or enjoying LEGOLAND , with bars and restaurants all just minutes away. Wherever your California travels takes you, this is the seaside sanctuary for you! KITCHEN – Modern with granite counters, European wood cabinetry, professional series Jenn-Air kitchen appliances. Includes dishwasher, garbage disposal, coffee machine, blender and all the cookware necessary to make a gourmet meal. MASTER SUITE – King bed, private bathroom w/tub, private balcony, walk-in closet, gas fireplace and 48inch flat screen. BEDROOM 1 – Large bedroom with 1 queen sized beds, shared jack and jill bathroom, perfect for any couple. INDOOR LIVING: 3 flat-screen Smart TVs, 3 gas fireplaces, formal dining table seating 8, beach chic furnishings, coastal décor, private washer/dryer, A/C PARKING- Two car garage and plenty of street parking The Beach access is a 2 minute walk, a bowling ally is only 5 minute walk from the front door, and bars and restaurants are only a few blocks away. You'll have easy freeway access, and an endless variety of good foods, and entertainment close by ( I have left you a list of all the top places to try). A Rite-aid is only blocks down the street, will carry all of your grocery needs during your stay, but close by you'll also find the convenience of Target, Trader Joes, and Sprouts. Getting around the area couldn't be easier; you're only a few minutes from the train station which will allow you quick and painless access to San Diego's finest without having to experience any traffic. You can easily walk to downtown Oceanside otherwise its a 5 minute Uber ride to both downtown Oceanside and Carlsbad. Close by attractions include: Sea World, Legoland, San Diego Zoo, San Diego Safari Park, Carlsbad Flower Fields, Casino, Wine Country, Golf Courses, and Beaches for miles.

Amazing stay no problems during our stay. Big spacious home that’s very clean. Definitely would stay here again and recommend to families. This is the first home I’ve stayed where the kitchen had everything we needed to complete a meal pots,pans ect.

Great time and a great house

The home was just as advertised and well kept up. The kitchen has enough of the basics to knock out a meal including the grill. It is definitely close to a rocky beach. But if you want a sandy spot to enjoy, you'll have to walk or drive up a ways then set up your spot. It's still closer than fighting traffic from home to the beach though. We're overall happy with the location once we had a beach plan. And the house itself is great.

I was in the Navy at Camp Pendleton 15 years ago.My baby girl and my grandson had never been to Oceanside.We took the entire family to Oceanside for my grandson's birthday and Matt's property was great.They went to the beach and we went up and down Coast highway visiting different restaurants.Overall the trip was great and we are coming back in March and we'll be using Matt's property again

The property itself is nice. The area is not quiet if that's what you're looking for. There's a club behind the property and the frequency of trains with bells passing across the street throughout the day.
Although, if you're looking for clean and, spacious place to hold a nice size group... this is the place for you.
The property manager was flexible with our check out time and that was very nice!

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The house was very clean and well stocked with any kitchen items we could possibly need. We were only a few blocks from the rocky beach and a 20 minute walk from the Strand. The rooftop deck is an added bonus. We loved the fire pit and fireplaces in the house because the weather was a little chilly and rainy. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Great place to come a relax. We attended Graduation at MCRD San Diego. Very clean and spacious. Lots of room for everyone. Nice having the garage to park in. Close to everything. Thanks Matt for being a great host.

Not quite the location I had in mind. The master faced a bar which was quite loud. One evening there was a bar fight and the police came. The train tracks were a half a block away and were also loud. Limited beach access. You definitely have to drive to get to a kid friendly beach.

We spent a lovely Thanksgiving Weekend in Oceanside at the Townsite Home. The weather was gorgeous. The home is close to the beach but access to sandy beach is a half mile walk north. While there is a closer beach access, it is through a boulder and rock strewn trail that is not for small kids or seniors. The home backs to a bar so there is some late night noise from the alley. The train crossing is a block to the west, but we really didn't hear it during our stay. There is an outdoor propane griddle but not a BBQ. Quite a few of the lights were out in the home, including the dining room chandelier, the over head floodlights in the living room and the bathroom lights over the sink in the master bathroom. Overall the home was clean and the beds were comfortable. The appliances all worked, but the washing machine detergent auto-dispenser does not work. The non stick frying pans are pretty worn and all of the knives were dull. Most of the cupboard doors are sticky. The kitchen sink retractable nozzle is sprung. The couches were comfortable for watching TV and we liked the large dining area. All the things described are a little nit-picky and we made everything work. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the lodging was good. With a few adjustments it would be excellent.

The property was spacious and clean. Since we were only two couples traveling together, we only used two of the three bedrooms. The kitchen was very nice and had most if not all of the cookware we needed. The train tracks are very close, but the sound of the trains did not bother us at all. Our only regret was that we didn't utilize the rooftop deck more. :)

My adult girlfriends and I rented this property for a weekend and it was an excellent experience. There were no problems getting into the house and everything was as expected, actually even better than expected. The AC works great which was a real help since it’s August. There are several places to sit together and chat and a nice big table with seating for up to seven comfortably. If you will be cooking, the kitchen is spacious and has a great island, however I would suggest bringing your favorite pan and anything you might need for cooking that is specialized. There were no measuring spoons but we made do. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this clean and modern property.

Great house and owner is easy to work with
Amazing time at this home. Easy access to Legoland and the safari park. Only negative and it is not with the house. The beaches close to the house was very rocky and very little sand. You have to drive into downtown Oceanside to get good beaches. Over all it is a great house. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

Good stay
Very nice house. We’ll supplied and clean. Some mold on one of the shower curtains which was reported to the maintenance man. Could use some hangers in the closets. Loved the rooftop sitting area with the fire pit.

This house is beautiful! The perfect amount of space for our teens and their friends for a friends and family spring break trip. Matt is an amazing host! He replied quickly with every question we had and even replaced the blender when we discovered the original one didn’t have a blade. The location is great, even though it’s not near a beach with much sand. We didn’t mind the short drive with our boogie boards just north of the pier instead. The fire pit on the rooftop was a fun amenity at night. We are so grateful for such a nice place to make memories!

This house is beautiful! The perfect amount of space for our teens and their friends for a friends and family spring break trip. Matt is an amazing host! He replied quickly with every question we had and even replaced the blender when we discovered the original one didn’t have a blade. Traveled to Oside for babies first birthday with 2 sets of grandparents, teenage brother and our little family. Plenty of room for all. Walked the 1.4 miles to the pier with babes wagon each day for coffee and waves. Took about 25mins one way. Lots of good food nearby - the roof terrace was a great grown up hangout at night once the babe was asleep in her playpen (in the master bathroom).
Only note for future stayers to consider is noise really carries. We didn’t hear the Oside train from inside at all - but footsteps overhead, talking from the first floor to loft bedroom.. some had trouble sleeping through it in our group.
Matt was a dream host - super accommodating and we had a blast. Would stay again!

Comfortable for large families
Stayed here with my extended family for a birthday weekend. We were all able to sleep comfortably. The owner was attentive to our needs and quickly resolved an issue with the sink.

Our family loved this property. It was incredibly clean, modern, and had all the space we needed to have an amazing trip to Oceanside. Nearby train tracks were less of an issue than anticipated and the positives of the property far outweigh any concern. Working with the owner was a breeze, and he was very accommodating. For the price, I would consider this one of the best values in Oceanside!

Make sure you use the garage to park in. We had 4 cars and we had to use street parking. Unfortunately my daughters truck got broken into and a lot of stuff was stolen. If you do need to park in the street make sure you take all your belongings inside with you. On the plus side it was pretty quiet. There is a train close by but we rarely heard it. Matt the contact person was available to us at all times. Over all this was a perfect house for us. We do recommend it.
