Located in Highlands, this lovely house for £453 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Walk to town! Highly sought after location! Introducing the perfect place to gather with your friends and family and enjoy an incredible mountain escape. Take an easy (flat) stroll to Harris Lake or walk to the amazing shops and dining of quaint Main Street Highlands. Wilson Road Retreat offers a spacious living room with gas fireplace and flat screen TV. Additionally, there is a breakfast area to seat 4, dining room that seats 6, and a well equipped kitchen with new stainless appliances. For all the musicians out there, you will love our little music spot in the dining with piano and cajon! The screened back porch and front porch are the perfect spots to enjoy morning coffee, endless conversations, or relaxing at sunset. Wilson Road Retreat offers accommodations to sleep up to 10. Our home is perfect for a large party, extended family, or two families traveling together. Wilson Road Retreat features four bedrooms with an additional extra sleeping space. Three bedrooms offer king size beds, with the master suite being downstairs with en suite bath. The fourth bedroom offers two queen beds. All bedrooms are equipped with flat screen TVs. There is an additional space for kids that includes a sleeping space, featuring a twin bed. An additional mattresses available as well. This home is equipped with WIFI, although we highly recommend unplugging as much as possible while you are vacationing in Highlands! For those of you that love the outdoors like our family, there is fishing, tubing, white water rafting, waterfalls, and mountain hiking all close by. We will share a list of all of our favorite places to visit, dine, and explore to make your vacation as easy and enjoyable as possible. We hope you will feel right at home at Wilson Road Retreat, a family home with rich history in Highlands. Whether it’s your first visit to Highlands or you’ve been coming for years, we hope you love your stay as much as we have loved creating this space for you!

This house was perfect for our family - spacious with room to yourself but great areas to congregate together. A short walk to town made it the perfect location. Will stay here again on our next trip to Highlands!

Wilson Road Retreat is a great location - two minutes or less from downtown! The online pictures and description are accurate. The house is well appointed and there is a spacious back yard if you want to spend some time outside. It was well stocked with toiletries, detergents, etc - enough for our 5 night stay. There was plenty of room for our multigenerational family to have our own space but to be together. We would definitely stay at this house again if in Highlands!

We stayed for a friends 50th birthday weekend, we had a great time! The home is spacious for 10 ladies, very comfy, stylish beds and baths. We will be back!

Sweet retreat: perfection!
Alison was so wonderful to communicate with and her home was beautiful and felt like home right away. Honestly, the place itself is more beautiful in person than the pictures convey. We had everything we needed and the convinance to town made our location well worth it! We used the fire pit every night, everyone had their own space, and every detail of the house was perfection. My 7 year old said that when she grows up she wants to live here! The town of Highland was charming and lovely ! Food was amazing, shopping was great,… we will be back for sure ! Thank you for Alison for being such a wonderful host!

This wonderful house checked every box for our small group of friends looking to escape in a quaint mountain town. It had multiple areas to hang out, several large bedrooms with king beds, screened-in porch, walking distance to downtown Highlands (11 min), and an outside firepit. We enjoyed cooking several dinners in the large kitchen, but also were able to walk to get breakfast and lunch in town as well. And to top it off, the house is located in a quiet neighborhood. Would highly recommend.

A great adventure

The patio is awesome and the fire pit was great, we made s’mores almost every night. We walked into town every day and loved passing by the lake and seeing the geese. We saw a bunch of cute bunnies on our walks, too.
The property manager, Stephanie, was amazing. So fast to respond and great to work with. We had some WiFi issues (the house has WiFi, but WiFi in the Highlands seems generally slow, which made work challenging for my husband).
The house was close to everything and we enjoyed all the great restaurants and activities the Highlands have to offer.

Cozy home!!
This home is a true gem in Highlands. Our family truly enjoyed our stay at Wilson Road Retreat. Only a short walk from downtown and Harris Lake. Our 5 year old had the best time fishing in Harris Lake that had just been stocked with trout. This home was clean, cozy and just perfect for our Winter Break getaway. We will be back!! Thank you Alison for you hospitality.

I have rented many houses and apartments in the US and in Europe, and this is one of the best ! The in town location was nice, so convenient to walk to town, especially as we only had one car. The kitchen was well equipped, also many throw blankets which were so nice !! The bedrooms were spacious, beds comfy with plenty of blankets and the best closets I have seen ! I look forward to my next visit to Highlands and to staying in this fabulous home.

Wonderful home !!
I have rented many houses and apartments in the US and in Europe, and this is one of the best ! The in town location was nice, so convenient to walk to town, especially as we only had one car. The kitchen was well equipped, also many throw blankets which were so nice !! The bedrooms were spacious, beds comfy with plenty of blankets and the best closets I have seen ! I look forward to my next visit to Highlands and to staying in this fabulous home.

Memory Making Getaway
This property is a gem. It was the perfect place to gather with our 3 adult children, their spouses and toddler granddaughter. Memories were made gathering around the dining room table for meals and games, sitting outside by the fire pit and walking into town. The owner was a pleasure to work with too. We'll definitely return.

Girls Trip
This property was perfect for a girls trip. I would also be great for a family or even two families. The house was very clean and very well stocked with all you need to cook. The house is beautifully decorated. We enjoyed sitting on the screen porch. We also liked the large tv in the living room for watching college football. All rooms were comfy and bathrooms were stocked with starter shampoos, conditioner & soap. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. The only suggestion I have would be firewood. We would have loved to cozy up to a fire or enjoyed the outdoor firepit.
