A/C. Quiet at night.
Musty smell throughout the apartment. Poorly laid out/ designed kitchen. Bathroom light only works on motion sensor. No shelves in the shower for soap, shampoo or razor. Very few basic supplies for kitchen.

Spacious
Information and directions on Booking.com incorrect and misleading Was directed to a different apartment and no instructions that we had to collect the keys at Sintra Bliss hotel. We booked an apartment with parking but no parking was available. Dirty mugs and only three wine glasses for booking of four.

Great location, and with windows closed it is quiet despite being centrally located and across from train/bus station. On a busy afternoon finding parking was tricky to pick up the keys, but the reception desk was wonderful and walked us to the apartment to show us where it was located. They do have a very small private car park (5-6 cars max), otherwise there is no real parking near the apartment unless paying, and max is 3 hours. Car park is about a 10min walk, so suggest unloading at the paid street parking and then moving the car.
If the front desk had told us about the car park it would have saved us a bit of money and time the next morning trying to figure out what to do with the car. We did mention we had one, and he said good luck. The gal the next morning gave us the directions and code for parking and it was easy.

The location, the fact that it had 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Air-conditioning in the apartment.
There were 3 steep flight of stairs from the check-in desk up to the apartment which was hard when we had heavy suitcases. The apartment had access to an upper street to the train station up a steep flight of steps. It would be good if this information was included in the listing for rent in case some guests may deem this an inconvenience. The supposed parking is not on site near the apartment we were staying at but is about a 10 min walk away down a hill. Not the most convenient.

Brilliant staff and service: on arrival, we had some complaints about the rooms, which were addressed inside very short time and we were offered a free upgrade. The property is located in a very calm and quiet area, while still close to the town centre. Private parking included in the reservation which is a great advantage in Sintra.
Not so easy to find due to some missing information on Google Maps. Still, the staff kindly helped us over the phone.

location was almost central. Short walks to the town centre. Clean. Comfortable, except for non functioning A/C in the summer!
when we eventually tried to find the apartment, it was night and we had difficulty finding the flat. We found it in the end. However, the main problem was that the air conditioner in our room was not working. I'm sure the authorities would have sorted it out,, but at 1:30 am? The person at the reception that night kept telling us that he was new to the job and did know how things worked. After that, once we got the hang of things, there were no problems. The location was great. The bathrooms were very clean. The bed was comfortable.

The location
Ants, flooding dishwasher. Poorly equipped, dirty diaper under bed, poor housekeeping. Bad internet.

A climb up to see the sights—but no problem if you are fit and young!

Host Evandra was very nice and helpful. She greeted us and gave all kind of tourism recommendations including one for a nice local restaurant that we used for the whole four nights we were in Sintra (Apeadeiro Restaurant). The apartment has the best location, 5 minutes from the historic center and 5 minutes from the commercial area by the train station. Everything was within walking distance. From my bedroom I could see Sintra's National Palace! Very quiet. Parking was fantastic as I got a private gated patio, which was very safe. The apartment was very clean, very comfortable and practical to use. The price was fair. Overall five stars.

Awful odor, uncomfortable and broken couch, difficult to figure out heaters, no dishwashing liquid provided for kitchen, noisy hot water heater, we had to ask for blankets and drying rack for clothes to be able to use washer, inconsistent and weak wifi

Apartment is very charming, location is absolutely perfect, it has private parking, bed is very comfortable and both living and bedroom have airco so temperature can be set to comfortable value.
Apartment does not have ventilation, and in winter this means it is quite humid and smells like basement. It was too cold to keep a window open.
Furthermore, no cleaning is provided, so in our case we had to use the same bath towel for 5 days.

Very centralized location in Sintra, close to restaurants and major sites
There are no elevators, so you have to lug your baggage up and down the stairs. Noisy at times due to the proximity of the train station
