Slightly disappointing. Lovely host and lovely hotel to look at from the outside.

The owner lady was very welcoming and lovely gesture of decanter of port in the room as a welcome , very nice. Lovely open fires in the bar/dining areas.

The room walls are very thin and we had family with children next door and the kids were closing the doors with a bang. Once later on in the evening and asleep it was ok. Breakfast was lovely but when my wife asked for a croissant she was told no. You have a choice of continental or cooked. Surely a croissant or extra toast would have made it so much better and a couple slices of bread extra wouldn’t break the bank. It’s a nice quiet retreat in its appearance and location and I don’t think the pool table in the bar is warranted, it takes away the nice feel about the place, as it makes a horrendous noise of balls being struck when all you want to do is have a nice quiet relaxing drink. We did go into the adjacent room closer to the dining room but had to go back through two doors to go the bar to get a drink.

Perfect for what we needed, somewhere warm & comfortable to stay that offered quality meals & drinks

Lovely open fire, everything needed in room: heating, hairdryer, minibar, heated towels, amenities, tea & coffee, etc. Meals were good, drinks reasonably priced.

Bed a bit hard, chairs at table worn and uncomfortable to sit at.

Good restaurant, but the hotel should undergo an upgrade

The food at the restaurant in-house was really good, both breakfast and dinner. Everything appeared to be freshly prepared, and the portions were decent. The reception staff was always welcoming and helpful. The room was already heated upon arrival.

The kettle in the room was rusty and dirty on the inside. Inside the sink, bath tub, and toilet, yellowish stains are visible. I did not get much sleep due to the springs I could feel through the mattress. The internet connection was not usable at times.

Planning on Staying again in Snow Season!

Bed and the room was huge & so comfortable, as was the bathroom with heated towel rails. Loved our own balcony access and views out of two floor to ceiling windows (we had Room 1). Food served at Breakfast (included!) was great. Also love the country vibe of the bar & pool table.

My only issue was that I think the septic tank needed attention. Wondered what the smell was and then realised after we went for a little walk around the grounds.

A gem in the woods.

The friendly staff and clean rooms. Price is very reasonable for a convenient location away from the business at Healesville. Breakfast is complimentary and really delicious!

There is no lift landing for rooms. Might not be good for wheel chair bound and people with weak knees.

It’s in a beautiful location and the staff were so helpful and friendly, the rooms were lovely and lots of nice touches in the room, like heated blankets.

Fantastic, cosy accomodation with excellent food and service!

we loved the atmosphere, the food was delicious - dinner and breakfast! very good value for money and lovely service. Rooms were warm and cozy.

As always we enjoyed the staff the food and the accommodation immensely.

The rooms are always spotless. The food is of an exceptional standard and the staff are lovely to deal with. During summer the outdoor area could be a little more comfortable.
