Stunning custom post and beam home that sits on the edge of the Androscoggin River in Bethel. This private retreat offers an array of unparalleled amenities, ensuring your vacation is filled with endless enjoyment. The home boasts 6 bedrooms consisting of a grand family suite with a king and 3 twins, a second suite with a queen, two private queen rooms, and a bunk wing with two bedrooms. A formal dining room with a custom built table just off the kitchen has a seat for everyone. Relax after dinner around the fire and enjoy a game on the giant scrabble board. 2 separate media rooms with surround sound are available. 75” Samsung TV in upstairs Media Room w/ seating for 14 people, additional Media Room with 65” TV in downstairs. For those who prefer a little more action than relaxing to a flic, the "Gamerz" room offers 3 synced PlayStations each with individual monitors to create the ultimate competitive gaming experience. Or hang out in the game room for endless entertainment with Pingpong, Pool Table, Golden Tee Golf & shuffleboard as well as a 55" TV so you won't miss the game. Winter: The home is ~10 minutes to Sunday River for some of the best skiing on the East. If the ski conditions aren’t up to par, enjoy some fun on the ice rink. You can throw on your boots and play a game of Paddleball with our paddleball gear. Bring your snowmobiles for endless trail riding on the ITS or pack the Xcountry ski and snowshoes and head out on an exhilarating trek along the river. Trails can also be found directly across from the driveway! (Rink is installed 12/1 each year. It will be filled with water when we have 5 consecutive days of freezing weather) Summer: The possibilities feel endless. The private setting with massive yard and outdoor games will keep you busy with fun. Play volleyball, throw horse shoes or enjoy a game of cornerhole by the river. If you’re itching for adventure, head up river 6 miles to the Gilead Bridge where you can launch your canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, tubes, or booze barge and lazily float back to the house.

Second time renting The Paddle House, first was in the Summer. Our 3 Generation Family of 18 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Christmas Eve and Day big meals, with all 18 seated at the table, was exactly what we were looking for. Wonderful house with plenty to do in Winter and Summer, for all ages (we had 15 to 88).

We stayed for the weekend to celebrate Christmas with the family. The house had plenty of room for everyone and the game room was perfect. We would definitely come again!

We rented the paddle house for our wedding weekend at the end of October and had the BEST time. It was perfect for our intimate micro wedding. The backyard was an amazing spot to have our ceremony and reception. There were plenty of activities for all ages and my 3 year old nephew was obsessed with the “game room.” It was large enough to comfortably sleep our guests and one of my favorite parts were the beautiful, large tables in the dining room. I would highly recommend not only making your wedding celebration a whole three day weekend, but having it at the Paddle House!

The Paddlehouse was everything we wanted it to be and more. We created some beautiful core memories here with our closest friends and family members. It is such a fantastic property with fun activities everywhere you look. Amanda was amazing to communicate with and was very accommodating and attentive to our questions. We can’t wait to come back!

Everything was fabulous...However, Maine is much more "rural" than we anticipated. Bethel is a lovely "village", but there isn't any city/commercial areas nearby. Our family was looking for "unplugged" and non-touristy.
Everything at the PaddleHouse was EXACTLY as described. We had 13 adults. Sleeping and bath accommodations were great. Plenty of beds, linens, etc.
The kitchen at 2 dishwashers and we cooked in several meals. So 2 dishwashers were very needed.
The property is amazing. The second firepit by the river had outdoor couches and adirondaks. We spent several evenings around the fire.
Unfortunately, it was much warmer than we had packed for and we didn't "play" as much outdoors as we originally anticipated. But this property has everything to keep your family entertained -- outdoors AND indoors. The game rooms, tvs, pool, pingpong. There is something for everyone.
The host was very very communicative and responsive. Our entire family said it was the BEST vacation ever.
All 13 of us would highly recommend the Paddle House!

Paddlehouse met our dream of our immediate family having a reunion with good food, activities in house for rain, including impropriety dance party in pool /ping pong room, everyone with a bed, plenty of bathrooms and a great working kitchen when the rain stopped we had so much fun outside with the large yard and games,. Hikes so easily accessible before the hot tub and easy to create wonderful meals in fabulously outfitted kitchen. We hope to find time we can all gather again as this took one year to arrange. We couldn’t ask for anything diy. Amanda the vrbo contact is fabulous and available for any questions or needs. So appreciate her too! Thank you for delightful 3day weekend!

This was a great place for the mixed generations in our family. The kindergarteners lovers the big, puffy pillow in the TV room The preteens loved the game rooms, the hot tub the volleyball game. The teens were able to get some homework done in the spacious rooms. The kitchen worked well for all the different meal preps ! It was everything I wanted it to be even though Hurricane Lee was threatening but only a windy event with some showers!! Not a problem with all the in house offerings!!

This is such a great house! Pretty much turnkey with ALL the supplies you could need for a fantastic getaway. The kitchen was so well equipped and impressive. Tons of dishes, pans, pots etc. The house had 2 of everything including dishwasher, washer/dryer and refrigerators. They keep the house well stocked with towels, soaps, detergents etc. Bedrooms very comfortable. Game rooms amazing. I could go on and on. All our guests had an amazing time and want to return with their families. Thank you very much for having us!!!!

The property is HUGE and very well appointed. Tons of plate, glassware & cooking supplies (pots/pans/etc). The bedrooms were wonderful and the game room was well used by my niece, nephew (20's), my children (teens) and their friends. The river was amazing as well, being able to sit by the running water and read a book was incredibly relaxing. Would rent again!

This property is amazing!! We were a group of 13 ages 53 (Dean and myself) down to our grandson who’s 2. Everyone had fun! Our oldest daughter has 4 kids so they got the bunk wing and the ‘grown up’ wing the rest of us stayed in. The game rooms were a hit as it rained all week and a 2000 piece puzzle kept the adult boys entertained. The kitchen and pantry room … be still my cooking heart 😁 … everything you need PLUS! Great outside areas as well. Volleyball, horse shoe pits, corn hole and kayaks.
I could ramble on for ever about this property!! Absolutely fantastic for a large group!! Host was amazing as well.

The paddle house is truly amazing! We barely had to leave the house, since this house has it all! The hosts were quick to respond to our questions, and the place was very clean! We are already talking about planning a return trip to this exact same spot. Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful stay. There were a total of 8 Adults and 19 children. We really liked the set up of all the adults on one side of the house upstairs and all the kids on the other side of the house upstairs for sleeping.

Our family had a great time at this house! There were 6 adults and 6 teenagers and there was enough room for everyone to have their own space. Teens were thrilled to have their own wing and adults enjoyed the quieter space upstairs. Lots of volleyball games and some wiffle ball in the backyard. The hot tub was enjoyed by all and when there was an issue with it, Amanda had it resolved in less than an hour after being informed. We would definitely consider this house again - beautiful getaway!

We had a wonderful time! We were at the Paddle house for a family Christmas celebration . The house was clean and spacious. The game room was a huge hit with our group. We enjoyed the beautiful living room fireplace with plenty of firewood.
The ice rink was assembled and filled for our stay but wasn’t quite frozen enough for us to use. We appreciated the effort to get the rink ready for us. We did lose power our first night due to a wind storm but the generator quickly turned on, and we were very grateful.
Amanda was very responsive to our questions and needs .
We will definitely be back again.

This place has everything. Surprised my husband with a birthday trip. Plenty of room for our large family of 2 parents and 9 adult/teenage children, and room to spare for our friends.
Absolutely loved the large dinning table that sat all 13 of us for Thanksgiving and our nightly dinners.
No one could say they were bored when there is a large downstairs video game room and the converted garage room that had a pool table, shuffle board, ping-pong, golf game, hooker game and 3 TV’s.
Amanda was great with quick communication and getting things fixed quickly during our stay when things came up.
The only thing about the property was the amount renters spend per night, would have been nice to have a couch in the main sitting room that wasn’t being held up with 2 pieces of fire wood on the underside because the frame looked broken, along with the hole in the wall from a shower repair in the Family suite bathroom that needed patched up.
If you’re looking for a place that will keep everyone entertained, this is the place!!

We had my wedding here, with less than 50 people & guests were loving the landscape. The house & yard have TONS of activities to keep occupied with, & there's lots of space to get together. Also, the host was very accommodating & made the process very smooth. We loved it!

This house was the best we have ever stayed at! We rent twice a year for many years now all over NH and ME. They really thought of everything. It’s ACTUALLY a stocked kitchen. They left out s’mores stuff for the kids and had towels ready on every bed. The house was clean and there was PLENTY of room. We had a few people cancel last minute so there was 15 total and we had an empty room. I always bring a sound machine whenever I travel to help with the noise but even that wasn’t bad. The yard was huge and the kids had a blast! We went canoeing and fishing in the river. We had camp fires and there was someone in the jacuzzi every night! Thanks Amanda for an amazing stay!!!!!!! We will 1000000% be booking again

We stayed at the Paddlehouse for a long weekend and hosted a small wedding ceremony on the property. The Paddlehouse was a dream-come-true. The photos do not do the property justice - really. What really stood out was how well everything was stocked and all the thoughtful touches. You could tell there was a real effort to think past the minimum. On top of the big things that made staying there so easy (two dishwashers and ACTUALLY enough plates to get you through until one is done running, two fridges, myriad "all-ages" activities on hand, and plenty of parking, there was also countless small things that made the stay special. There was a full spice selection, as well as a variety of fresh herbs in the planters at the entrance. There were nature guidebooks, a smores welcome kit, and a written section about local activities and restaurants with what felt like "actual-experience" tips.
We had a mixed age group of teenagers, adults, and seniors, and everyone had what they needed to both take care of themselves and have fun, right at their fingertips. We would rent the Paddlehouse again in a heartbeat.

Our group had an excellent time at The Paddle House. There is plenty to do and plenty of space.
Kitchen is well stocked, although light on dish towels. 2 fridges, 2 dishwashers, plenty of knives, cutting boards, spices, mixer, coffee maker, and other appliances.
The river float was excellent and highly recommend it. (If floating, this could take 3-4 hours)
Check-in and check-out were easy and seamless.

Our annual family vacation this year was fabulous. The house was clean and spacious for our family of 15. The kids had great time with all the amenities of the house. We loved kayaking down the river to the property and making smores by the fire at night.
