The unit
The caretaker and the landlord.
They were very unprofessional with their approach with my visitors. Complete disrespect. Should have messaged me or call me instead of approaching me while my visitors are around.

Great little flat that has everything you need for a short stay.
The TV/Foxtel situation is confusing to me, as a non-Foxtel subscriber myself. So this could benefit from some instructions on how to use it. However, I just made sure the Foxtel gadget was turned off, and used the TV in stand alone mode, no problems.

We were very surprised at how new, spacious, modern and ultra clean the unit was. Bed very comfortable. Our host was very friendly, helpful and polite on our arrival, but thereafter gave us complete privacy and space.
Excellent value for money.
For some reason didn't notice that the Booking.com ad for the granny flat was in US dollars not Australian dollars😕.
So it was a bit of a shock when I checked our account to see an extra $150 was taken out. Will book through an Australian company next time if possible.

It was located in a quiet and nice area, but close enough to the centre of the town. It was clean and had absolutely everything that you could need during your stay.
I got there during a terrible weather event with rain and floods that were affecting the whole area and the forecast was showing the posibility of hail. There was a freestanding garage at the back of the property but the access to it was blocked. In the ad, I agree, they said the car was due to be parked outside, but I thought it was odd that I was not offered to put my car under cover given the exceptional weather conditions.
The driveway that gives access to the entrance of the property is covered by an extremely rough and big gravel and I did twist my ankle trying to walk over it.
The Check In at 3 pm is very late….
I did message them before getting there and asked them to let me know if I could make it any earlier.
They said they needed to clean it after the previous people (Check out is at 10) Fair enough; I thought they did have a lot of units to clean.
I ended up arriving to Stanthorpe at 10.30, wet and exhausted after ruining and replacing two tyres on the way and had to kill a lot of time to access the property. So I ended up joining a bus tour to an orchard from 2 to 4 and I was there when I received a message at 2.39 saying that the place was ready. Too late. Too little.
Ended up arriving at 4.30 and discovered that there was only one unit that had to be cleaned, and that they lived next door.
Booked a hotel for the third night and was able to access the room at 10 am.

Place felt new, it was clean & big enough for two, with private access.
Skinny, gravel driveway & location was a bit further out of town, but doable if you have a car.

A lovely well maintained unit that included a comprehensive range of cooking facilities. The place was like new and very clean. It was quiet but convenient to town.
Everything was great.

very clean and renovated, very kind receptionist.
felt a bit clostrophobic because there was no window that could be opened. we had to use airconditioning even though it was not hot, only stuffy because of no fresh air.

All the comforts of home. Quality fittings and very well kept.
Nothing really. Would be a little tight with a couple staying but solo there is plenty of room.

Tidy, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Lots of nice little decorator touches. Modern appliances, lots of power points, comfortable bed and pillows. Close to Stanthorpe's town centre.

There was no outdoor area to sit

Proximity to town centre
Shampoo and USED soap from previous occupants were still in the bathroom (!)
A top sheet would have been nice, not just the doona. Also not really confident that the sheets were clean - clean sheets don’t look like they’ve been slept in.
A bit rich to ask tenants to remove their shoes while in the flat. A pair of thongs and slippers were provided but have the owners not heard of COVIDSafe ?!? BTW we kept our shoes on.

There was no breakfast. The location was very central.
No coathangers in the wardrobe.

Stanthorpe is a tidy and proud town. The gentleman at the Information centre was very enthusiastic about his district and we hope to return to see more. Our visit to the Girraween NP was particularly enjoyable. The accomodation was just right for us.
We could not think of anything we did not like about the accomodation.
We wished we had planned a longer stay in the Stanthorpe district. After our visit to Girraween NP we drove to Sutton's apple outlet to the north of Stanthorpe to eat the best of apple pies.
