great 10 bedroom house on beach, pool is small but gives option to cool off

Truly enjoyed being able to get the entire family together under one roof with individual space for all!

We enjoyed the spacious home and the view is to die for. However, instructions about operating the elevator would have been helpful, as well as instructions on locking the back door, the carpet is in desperate need of replacing in all the bedrooms, need painting, some of the ceiling fans were not working, none of the electrical outlets on patio not working, the jets in jacuzzi tub on 3rd floor not working, the pool was not cleaned until the next day and the garbage cans were filled, maybe someone checked out that morning. Overall, even with those complaints, I would stay here again.

It was filthy. Also the furniture was nasty and run down. My husband sat on one of the chairs and a leg broke and he fell to the floor. There was dried toothpaste in one of the sinks and green mold on the faucet. The curtains were splattered with paint and some had huge water stains. We had to run the sweeper in one of the bedrooms because there were chips all over the floor. There was a nail sticking out of the sofa that ripped my grandson’s shirt two different times. The pool was dirty and had tall grass growing inside the fence. The elevator worked the first day and then quit. They had stuffed a bath towel between the window and facing in one bedroom because of a big gap. Several handles were broken off the windows so they couldn’t be opened and several windows were fogged over disrupting the view. There was a lot of trash and junk piled up below in the garage area. There is a tiny beat up charcoal grill. The pictures of this house are deceiving; it isn’t near that nice. It is in an unrentable condition.

This was perfect for our family of 14. Rooms for everyone, plenty of space to hang out and the beach just out the door was amazing! Lots of memories made and we will return. Thank you so much!

The view from 7 of the 10 bedrooms is beautiful beachfront views. Very large living room, dining room and Kitchen areas, accommodated our large family nicely. The pool was a plus for the kids and the distance from the house to the waterfront was great. We enjoyed our stay.

Grandview house was just what my family needed

Note: We have photo evidence that everything in this review is accurate and true.... Lots of information redacted for character limitation. We thought the owner responses to the previous reviews meant that issues had been addressed. Unfortunately they had not addressed any of them. This place was dirty, and needs LOTS of work to get back to what the photos look like. Booked for May, & visited in Feb to preview. During that visit, window installers replaced a few windows, which was nice to see. Gave the impression that the house was being repaired. (Boy were we wrong!) Took photos of items that were broken or dirty, & submitted that to Kaiser, who said they would be addressed before our stay in May. Nothing actually happened... The film and Pella stickers from the install in Feb were STILL stuck to the windows 3 MONTHS LATER! For our stay in May... here is what damage we found: Stairs and room carpet were filthy and damaged. Walls covered in scuffs and gouges. Kitchen microwave was not functional. Now they plugged in an old countertop unit, so the stove has no vent for cooking. 1 refrigerator has cooling issues, and would not get drinks very cold. The sliding drawer was damaged and would fall down when opened. Other refrigerator had missing or damaged shelves. One patio door would stick when trying to open. Felt like it would break, so we left it closed. The internet was spotty. This is a minimum requirement in 2019. The concrete around the pool was severely cracked and damaged. Some stairs on the back porch were very wobbly and did not feel safe. The nails under the paint on the exterior of the house were rusting & discoloring the paint. Exterior needs lots of work. The patio furniture was full of dirty rusty water, and leaked on our clothes when moving chairs. GROSS! Half the patio light fixtures disintegrated with bare wires. MANY shower heads need cleaning or replace. Water sprays everywhere. Showers would barely drain, pooling water from under the tub. Broken towel racks and mirrors. Couch had a hole and fabric stapled together Outlet sticking out from the wall... SAFETY HAZARD! FILTH smeared on the walls everywhere. GROSS! Every single dining chair had loose legs. We tightened them ourselves so guests could eat comfortably. Window latches were broken throughout Holes in walls and ceilings throughout Ceiling water spots throughout Called to ask about missing salt/pepper/sugar/coffee... "We are not a hotel". No kidding!

We loved the floorpan of this house. It was perfect for our family Christmas. We have been renting large houses for Christmas for over 30 years and this is the worst we have ever encountered. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. The house needed painting and carpets replaced. The house was very dirty including sticky blankets, countertops and sinks dirty, feces on a toilet, urine on a bathroom cabinet, black mold on the air vents, and the list goes on. There were many maintenance needs including 3 bathrooms with broken towel rods, broken coffee pot, broken microwave, showers / sinks backing up with water, paint chipping off walls and windows, many lights did not work, and holes in drywall, just to name a few. The kitchen was not equipped with very basic needs such as baking sheets, pot holders, crockpot, working can opener, etc. It was the perfect size and floorpan for our family but these kinds of things cannot be overlooked. We do not recommend this house unless major changes are made.

It was our wedding weekend so of course we enjoyed the days in Gulf Shores.

Loved everything about the house. It was very clean. The young people enjoyed the Beach, and I caught a fish. We enjoyed the house very much. We will give it 9 out of 10 .

Overall we had a nice stay, but I was very surprised when we arrived at the condition of the carpet and walls. They were both beyond dirty and need new carpet and paint on the walls. The outdoor furniture was falling apart. The pool was small, which we could tell by pictures but halfway through the stay it turned very cloudy and it took them 1.5 to come out and then it still was not fixed. We also had issues with WiFi the entire stay making it difficult for some people who needed to work. The house is a good size and the kitchen was nice. No grill. We had a good week considering but would not rent it again.

Overall our stay was good. It was a party of about 15 all around the ages of 25-36. The house is beautiful on the outside and the beach access is wonderful. Be ready to bring your own beach chairs and accessories as the house doesn’t provide anything. Also, if you plan to grill, bring your own. The grill that comes with house is a broken down 1ft by 1ft Weber grill. Basic cable is provided and slow internet that works intermittently. A/C works great and bedrooms are spacious. The inside definitely has some wear and tear, but nothing that really takes away from the experience. For the price I don’t think I would stay here again as many other places offer more for the price point. At one point there was a leak during a rainstorm, but kaiser was there quickly to place a tarp in attic and address it.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Grandview. We housed an entire wedding party and their spouses and there was lots of room for our 22 guests without them feeling like they were on top of each other. The house was clean, there could be a little work done on the stairways and hallways, lots of handprints and dirt on the walls and carpets but in such a big house and the amount of people it can hold that is to be expected. We had a couple of maintenance issues that were taken care of immediately and we really appreciated that. The laundry facilities were awesome to have however the downstairs dryer did not heat up - but it was late in our stay and we didn't call maintenance about that but I'm sure they would have been out immediately had we called. The kitchen layout is awesome for large groups, however there are only 4 bar stools, but there are larger tables and chairs available. We would definitely rent this property again, the views are magnificent, only two bedrooms do not face the gulf, but their views were good of the bay behind the house.

We loved the privacy of the beach. We did not have to worry about the little one in a crowded place. The house was spacious for everyone.

My wife and I rented this house for our wedding. The House is amazing. My wife, myself, and our other 16 guests were blown away from the moment we stepped onto the main and had that amazing view of the ocean. The house was extremely spacious and we loved that everyone had their own bathroom so they could have some privacy. It was great stepping out onto the huge balcony and just enjoy the ocean. What was event better is that the ocean was just a few steps away. The only obstacle was a sand dune which wasn't very difficult to get up and down. My wife and I were married on the beach behind this property. We had about 100 guests in attendance and were able to accommodate everyone comfortably. We had tables and chairs set up and decorated underneath the house. We were able to use the extremely large counters for the buffet. And because of the extremely large kitchen, there were no issues preparing the food. We rearranged the furniture and was able to use the living room as the dance floor. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue.

The home that we rented allowed for a large family and also had fantastic gulf views. There's no way to have the beach any nearer.

Everything went smoothly

We had a very large group in this house. The layout was perfect for so many families. Each family had their own bathroom, two dishwashers, two fridges, two laundry rooms, plenty of seating...easy access to the beach. It could have been perfect. I understand that with rental properties - especially those with quick turnarounds and heavy traffic from the beach - there is going to be wear and tear. It is definitely in need of a deep cleaning. The fingerprints all over the doors, barely cleaned toilets, and patched up nail holes on the walls were a distraction, but the biggest problem was the roaches and ants. I expect crickets and ants with doors being opened and closed, but they have a serious roach problem. I also recommend going through the rental company for your reservation. We made our reservation directly through the owner and she was nearly impossible to reach. We had water coming in two of the bedrooms during a heavy rain and the owner failed to return our phone call. We tried getting help from the rental company, but they said they were unable to help us since we did not make our reservation through them. This house has the potential to be AMAZING. The layout for a large group can't be beat. With a deep cleaning, a few minor repairs, and serious exterminating, I would consider for future.
