Was good. Ran out of warm water. Had to shower with ice cold water during winter season. Also was expecting 3 bedrooms. 3rd room was out in a loft

A gas grill was advertised. There was no gas grill on property. The inside range needs to be replaced.

For us it was ideal! We could walk to town and enjoyed many breakfasts at the local cafe. Our family could come over in the evenings and play board games, and had it been warm enough, there was a nice porch to enjoy the view of the forest.

Location- Great Walkable and drivable to all things in McCall. The most desirable thing about this house. Amenities- Need some attention. Lacked many things we normally have on a stay. Left with 2 garbage bags for the kitchen. No sandwich bags, no foil, a Keurig coffee maker and a holder for the pods but no pods in the holder. The bigger burner on the stove was broken. The main bathroom hand soap was very watered down. The remote for the fan and light in the living room died. Unfortunately we turned the light on but couldn't turn it off on the 1st night. It made it bright where my daughter slept up on the loft (I guess it's better it wasn't broke). We went shopping for some things we neeeded and a replacement hoping it was just a dead battery and luckily after 2 stops to find the specialty battery we found one at Radio Shack. It seems it would help to have some instructions for operating some of the various things. That way you know if they are working correctly or maybe just broken. We did like the roundabout driveway so you don't have to back into the street since it would be hard to do with all the snow and frosty windows. Ambiance- Classic throwback styling and pretty well kept for the age. Really would like to see a fireplace of some sort. Gas, wood, pellet. The front room and kitchen areas would be well served. I'm sure one was there before since there is a base in the corner where it appears one set. Would really make a winter stay much more appealing. There was a small electric "fake flame fireplace". The remote didn't work and we thought the whole unit was broken (no instructions) until we found the buttons on the side of the unit. We could never get it to heat. Really not sure if it is supposed to heat. Looks really cheesy in the nice corner that's perfect for a real fireplace. It served no purpose other than a place holder in the room. Things I wish I knew before. The upstairs deck has a great view. It is screened (I thought it had windows), so not really usable during a winter stay. We hoped to use that for a quiet reading area. I also underestimated how much I'd miss a fireplace to warm up after skiing or playing outside. Our Fakiky missed that. The pictures were professionally taken and well done. It made everything "pop". The actual product is neat but much more drab. Maybe it's just because the lighting in December isn't as good. In a nutshell- the location is good and I would suggest renting for the summer months. You could walk to the water and play in the forest area behind it and enjoy the extra large porch and the covered upper screens area overlooking the trees. For a winter stay I would look somewhere else.

We loved the feel of a cabin and how it looked. Our dog definitely approved - he was happily running around the house on first evening. Later he was too tired after the hikes to do that. In the morning I enjoyed how dark and sleepy it was in house. Nice cool air from outside was very relaxing. There was a deer that we have seen around the cabin few times. But there also were few things that I shared with Vacasa that they need to work on. If you are looking for a WiFi password, it is not in a welcome package on a table in a living room, but on a WiFi tower in a living room. The light in a living room is remote operated - so look for a remote and not a switch. The light above the dining table operated on a dimmer which is located next to the bathroom - it is a weird spot for it. We found that the mattress downstairs is uncomfortable and ended up sleeping in the upstairs bedroom after trying to sleep downstairs for couple of hours on a first night. The mattress upstairs are much nicer in mine and my husband's opinion. To tell you the truth, it feels like that downstairs bedroom bed has a very bad energy. It is like too many couples were arguing and fighting in it instead of enjoying the stay. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the stay. We are people who cook and we used the grill couple of times. The stove in a kitchen has issues with a front burner - it was not working unless I pushed it in deeper into the connection and didn't rattle it too much after that. I hope that will be addressed soon. Also, I wish they would say how to turn off the heat in house because it was ON all the time since the thermostat goes only to "low". The place feels old. Probably needs attention maintenance and some appliance upgrade wise.
