This is a wonderful cabin walking distance to town and the lake we loved it!

Was good. Ran out of warm water. Had to shower with ice cold water during winter season. Also was expecting 3 bedrooms. 3rd room was out in a loft

A gas grill was advertised. There was no gas grill on property. The inside range needs to be replaced.

For us it was ideal! We could walk to town and enjoyed many breakfasts at the local cafe. Our family could come over in the evenings and play board games, and had it been warm enough, there was a nice porch to enjoy the view of the forest.

Loved the location and house.

Location- Great Walkable and drivable to all things in McCall. The most desirable thing about this house.
Amenities- Need some attention. Lacked many things we normally have on a stay. Left with 2 garbage bags for the kitchen. No sandwich bags, no foil, a Keurig coffee maker and a holder for the pods but no pods in the holder. The bigger burner on the stove was broken. The main bathroom hand soap was very watered down. The remote for the fan and light in the living room died. Unfortunately we turned the light on but couldn't turn it off on the 1st night. It made it bright where my daughter slept up on the loft (I guess it's better it wasn't broke). We
went shopping for some things we neeeded and a replacement hoping it was just a dead battery and luckily after 2 stops to find the specialty battery we found one at Radio Shack. It seems it would help to have some instructions for operating some of the various things. That way you know if they are working correctly or maybe just broken. We did like the roundabout driveway so you don't have to back into the street since it would be hard to do with all the snow and frosty windows.
Ambiance- Classic throwback styling and pretty well kept for the age. Really would like to see a fireplace of some sort. Gas, wood, pellet. The front room and kitchen areas would be well served. I'm sure one was there before since there is a base in the corner where it appears one set. Would really make a winter stay much more appealing. There was a small electric "fake flame fireplace". The remote didn't work and we thought the whole unit was broken (no instructions) until we found the buttons on the side of the unit. We could never get it to heat. Really not sure if it is supposed to heat. Looks really cheesy in the nice corner that's perfect for a real fireplace. It served no purpose other than a place holder in the room.
Things I wish I knew before.
The upstairs deck has a great view. It is screened (I thought it had windows), so not really usable during a winter stay. We hoped to use that for a quiet reading area. I also underestimated how much I'd miss a fireplace to warm up after skiing or playing outside. Our Fakiky missed that. The pictures were professionally taken and well done. It made everything "pop". The actual product is neat but much more drab. Maybe it's just because the lighting in December isn't as good.
In a nutshell- the location is good and I would suggest renting for the summer months. You could walk to the water and play in the forest area behind it and enjoy the extra large porch and the covered upper screens area overlooking the trees. For a winter stay I would look somewhere else.

We loved the feel of a cabin and how it looked. Our dog definitely approved - he was happily running around the house on first evening. Later he was too tired after the hikes to do that. In the morning I enjoyed how dark and sleepy it was in house. Nice cool air from outside was very relaxing. There was a deer that we have seen around the cabin few times. But there also were few things that I shared with Vacasa that they need to work on. If you are looking for a WiFi password, it is not in a welcome package on a table in a living room, but on a WiFi tower in a living room. The light in a living room is remote operated - so look for a remote and not a switch. The light above the dining table operated on a dimmer which is located next to the bathroom - it is a weird spot for it. We found that the mattress downstairs is uncomfortable and ended up sleeping in the upstairs bedroom after trying to sleep downstairs for couple of hours on a first night. The mattress upstairs are much nicer in mine and my husband's opinion. To tell you the truth, it feels like that downstairs bedroom bed has a very bad energy. It is like too many couples were arguing and fighting in it instead of enjoying the stay. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the stay. We are people who cook and we used the grill couple of times. The stove in a kitchen has issues with a front burner - it was not working unless I pushed it in deeper into the connection and didn't rattle it too much after that. I hope that will be addressed soon. Also, I wish they would say how to turn off the heat in house because it was ON all the time since the thermostat goes only to "low". The place feels old. Probably needs attention maintenance and some appliance upgrade wise.

I loved the location, you feel secluded due to the wooded lot, but you're a block from the lake and close to downtown. The cabin is quite spacious and feels much bigger than the picture shows. The inside is funky rustic just like the pictures show. It's nice having two full bathrooms, so there's no waiting when getting ready for the day. The wrap around porch is great for relaxing, BBQing, and having some drinks. We visit McCall often and would rent this cabin again in the future.

The photos are deceiving, this place is small and very dark. A lot of lights did not work and it was DIRTY. The toilet in the main bathroom was disgusting. This was reported right away, but there was nothing done.
The location is great, but would rather stay a lot further away than in a really dirty place.

This worked perfectly for us as a couple traveling with a dog. all appliances worked well, including laundry facilities. The location is very convenient to town and located on a very quiet street. the beds were comfortable and the house was clean. I would stay here again.

Felt like we were in the woods, but we were close distance to everything. Bigger than we expected with awesome wrap around porch. Loved the 70’s look to it all! Would stay again!

Location was perfect with the feeling of being in the woods. Very well stocked, everything in great condition. The pictures don't do it justice, is even nicer than expected.
Service was lacking... Called to report the TV not connecting to the WiFi but promised call never returned. Went into Cacasa office in town to report ceiling fan not working to circulate hot air back down from high ceilings but promised call never returned. Shame, the lack of response is the only thing negative to say about this place, cabin was beautiful and well stocked.

Peaceful & Relaxing
We loved the home. Great selection of cooking utensils and pans. We love to cook our own food while on getaways. Very cozy feel to the home. Only complaint is couldn’t get the fake fireplace warm, and some lightbulbs are burnt out. But otherwise was awesome and a five star ⭐️ place!!

Just what we wanted - great rustic log cabin with huge covered wrap around porch and in great location. Lots of parking, even place for our boat trailer. Cabin has everything you need including Keurig and Mr Coffee machines. Only thing missing was a toaster and enough TP. Definitely stay again!

Nice rustic cabin (1981)
If you have pets be careful because the screens are broken.
Prepare to have to stomp down the outside trash can because it will be weeks before it is picked up.
When we arrived we found where someone had collided with porch and knocked off the gutter. They didn’t even pick it up.
The plastic Easter eggs around the building was a nice surprise.
Couldn’t hang both towels in the front bathroom because one was falling off the wall.
One set of blinds was broken.
The upstairs bathroom fan can be heard outside.
The ants were fun too.
I tried to contact the local management company. No call backs.
I had to call their Portland, Oregon number to tell them.
A maintenance man came out to give me ant traps and remove a couple of bags af trash.
He told me the listed things were on their to do list.
You would think that a rental company who charges us a extra $80 a day on top of the stated rate would try to maintain the structure.
