Home was right on the beach which is why we chose this location. It is an older home with older amenities without handicap bathrooms for our senior parents. One shower not working properly. It was nice to park our cars in the garage to keep them cool during our stay. The home had garage, roof and water damage inside due to storm but but did not hamper our fun. The internet is questionable and we could not get it to work. For the price we paid for the week we were disappointed.

This house looked great online and I thought it would be perfect. Unfortunately upon walking through the door we immediately realized the house had suffered from major water damage to the point of an unfixed hole in the ceiling in one of the bedrooms. A large bowl had been placed to catch water underneath of it. There are also water pressure issues which cause squealing pipes…super annoying. Also a huge bug problem- not just ants… luckily, we had family down the street so we didn’t have to stay in the house too long or else I probably would have gone home. The owner was easy to contact and responded right away however wasn’t especially helpful with addressing the problems of her house. Oh and IF you do book this house, check your billing for a linen charge, you will get billed for linens even if you bring your own….. I am not trying to complain but that was the reality of what I had dealt with this past week. I was very grossed out having my kids in that house. I would hate for someone else to walk into the same situation.

Beautiful beaches, sunsets, and that classic Topsail “vibe” saved our vacation from a nightmare house. Dino, the host, spent all of 30 seconds on the phone with us when we asked how to get in the property. Her attitude told me she was used to handling angry guests. In hindsight we should have never entered the house. I wish we could post pics, because you may not believe us. Here are the highlights: -Hallway toilet had a very loud squeal that finally ended midweek when it broke completely. -Ceiling leaked in bedroom, but they were kind enough to leave a bucket. Spiders eventually crawled out of the same hole later in the week. -Every AC vent must have leaked at some point, massive amounts of peeling paint and musty smells. -Air conditioning was weak. -None of the sliding glass doors worked well, but they did block the beautiful ocean views because of the condensation between the panes. -Outside wooden stairs are a HAZARD!! We shored them up with some old lumber on the property. -Deck is overdue for refinishing…we have splinters to prove it. -Several light bulbs out and the fridge water filter is overdue. We texted and messaged host… never heard from her. Frustrating how hosts can get top dollar while completely letting their properties fall apart. I wish there was something we could do.

Our family of 9 had plenty of room and made lots of memories. Due to many storms the beach was a bit changed with only tiny sharks teeth and bigger waves than last year. We all had a great time. We had trouble with the AC and the owner was responsive and got someone out the next day even though it was a Saturday. She was great and available. Thanks!

Needed numerous repairs, even had water coming out of the ceiling in one bedroom, 2 of 3 bathrooms had shower issues. Also had pretty bad pest infestation. Told the owner and she went ballistic. .was very rude for a few minutes .even made threats. Then she realized she wasn’t speaking with the people she thought she was and started calling and texting apologizing. NO plans to return here.

This was the first to many more family vacation. It was a very good beginning to our tradition of many more. We all had so much fun. The house suited us just right. In the house we could be close as a family plus we all had our own space. Everything we need was right there. The beach within steps. We hope to visit again.

Overall, the property is as listed. Some deck issues and electronics but We enjoyed our time by making adjustments. After talking with local homeowners this property has withstood a few bad storms and a Hurricane or two. It was comfortable for my wife and children. AND THE WEATHER WAS PERFECT!
