Beautiful hotel. Lovely hosts and food is excellent in restaurant and at breakfast. Otavalo is a great place to visit too.

We lived absolutely everything about this wonderful hotel.
The attention from the staff was excellent. It is very centrally located.
The food was excellent.
The bed was very comfortable and the hot water was hot hot hot.
Really what more could you ask for. It was perfect.
And Pancha is a doll.

Nothing is more typical of Otavalo, Ecuador, than this hotel. Stunning Spanish style architecture, manicured garden full of hummingbirds, local folk art decoration displayed with effortless elegance (and they can be bought!), immaculate and well appointed rooms overlooking garden and mountains. The staff is very polite, attentive and helpful. Quick and excellent laundry service. The food -breakfast, lunch or dinner, served on demand at the time you want- is prepared from scratch and absolutely delicious and caters to vegans. Bravo for their deep dish chocolate brownie! Finally, it is a joy to sit in front of their huge fireplace, watching the fire while thumbing one of their books. Not to forget their adorable dog Patcha who enjoys so much being with her guests...And the hotel is three blocks away from the famous Otavalo market!
It did not concern us but guests with reduced mobility would have a problem since all the rooms (as far as we could tell) are on the first floor with no elevator.

The food in the restaurant was excellent. The staff was very kind.

Our room was better than expected. It was so big it felt like an apartment. Plenty of space to sleep. The beds were very comfortable. The water pressure was great. The shower was hot. The staff was very helpful. We checked out 30 min late because we went to go see El Lechero and was not charged. I wish we could've stayed longer.

Comfortable, clean rooms with attention to detail. The service was exceptional. Conveniently located only a 5-10 minute walk from the Plaza de Ponchos but away from the bustle and noise of that area. The property and grounds are peaceful and meticulously maintained with indigenous art, plants, and manicured gardens throughout. Delicious breakfast included and tasty food at their restaurant. It was well worth paying little bit extra to stay here.

The staff were exceptionally nice, friendly, and accommodating. The breakfast was adequate. Nothing fancy, but breakfast -- a start to the day. The site was pleasant with nice gardens.
Unfortunately, the location is right on a main road, and Ecuadorean trucks are notorious for engine braking and for their lack of mufflers. As such, the room was noisy at all times of the day and night. In fact, the proprietors include sets of ear plugs in the rooms. Obviously, they are well aware of the shortcomings of the location.

Well located - walking distance to the main market. Beautiful old building , well maintained, nice garden and surroundings. Beautiful garden. Nice staff and good atmosphere . Clean and quiet place.

This hotel felt like staying in a beautiful mountain home with all the conveniences of a hotel. The fireplace was lit for us each night and morning as we ate in the beautiful living room. We played games and hung out by the fire as if it were our own family cabin…. with the perk of being spoiled by the most attentive staff. They brought us hot drinks and dessert to the couch after finishing our delicious dinner at the table. We stayed in clean rooms decorated with local textiles that looked out over the most immaculate gardens. Then we walked to the famous Otavalo Saturday market just a few blocks down the street and bought gorgeous blankets, jewelry, and sweaters from the local artisans. There is a genuine kindness we felt from everyone we interacted with, at the hotel and the market. If you want connection to the people in a beautiful location, this is your place. This is our second time coming to the Posada del Quinde and we will definitely be coming back.
It doesn’t have a gym. The bathroom in our room was clean and nice, but more basic than the rest of the hotel. But for the price, they are amazing.

Wow! I don't have enough superlatives for this hotel. Excellent value, great location, wonderful staff, clean comfortable rooms, a cozy fire burning in the dining room fireplace, nice restaurant, full bar, beautiful grounds and landscaping, reliable Wi-Fi. This hotel will be my go-to place whenever I am in Otavalo.
