The lovely receptionist came with me to Roe Cottage and showed me how everything worked. The cottage was very comfortable and beautifully laid out. The Holiday Village was the best I have ever been to. My doggies particularly liked Central Bark - a fenced area where they could run free. We really want to return.

I now know there are cottages without stairs which would of been better for my needs.

Cosy cottage, good location, reasonable price. Downstairs was good, well equipped kitchen and enough space for 3 or 4 people. Good to have private parking. The cottage had free wifi and a TV with DVD player. We enjoyed our stay, the comments below about what we didn’t like are only enhancements.

Upstairs needs a refresh, needs painting, carpet in main bedroom needs replacing. Bathroom is very small and might be difficult for families with small children. Noise from the bar could be loud when windows were open but they finished events promptly at 11pm. It would be useful to have a washing machine, and hair dryer and nice to have good quality towels.

Location was nice, a little close to a railway track, and a through road but these didn't intrude very much.

Sofa's are a killer. The base of the sofa's are completely shot and your bum will end up about 10 inches off of the floor, resulting in great difficulty getting up from them coupled with a series of back pain throughout your stay, this is definitely what I will remember about this holiday. Mid way through our stay the electric shower caused a total power cut which resulted in the owner calling an electrician out to replace burnt trip switches (worryingly though, the trips didn't trip) in the kitchen. The electrician was swift and the whole job was sorted in about an hour.

A first class self catering base to view the Yorkshire coast. Very comfortable accommodation with all the facilities that we needed
