“The 808 on Lake Keowee” offers the opportunity to melt away all levels of stress with one of the best panoramic views of Lake Keowee. It is also the absolute best spot on Keowee for fishing! We have underwater fishing lights that bass and catfish love!This home is a quiet escape but only minutes away from dining and shopping and just a short drive to the Clemson University campus. This professionally decorated house is perfect for spring/summer vacations, attending Clemson University activities, viewing the changing leaves in the fall, and snuggling up to the calmness of the lake in the Winter. A private beach area and magnificent sunsets are guaranteed to please. The dock is an ideal area to experience a serene, early morning quiet time, as well as the opportunity to witness a "front row" view of a sunset containing colors of pink, purple, and blue. A covered porch with a television offers the perfect place to grill and relax in the evenings, after a fun day on the lake. The master bedroom with a king size bed, offers the calming view of the smooth early morning lake scene. Bedroom 2 offers a queen size bed that is comforting and relaxing, with an attached bathroom. This home has a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer. A custom bar area is the perfect place to keep your beverage ingredients as you enjoy your time at "The 808". The stairs lead to a spacious loft area with both a queen size and a full size bed . This loft is a nautical-themed area for kids, as well as adults, to have their own space. Both loft beds have a great lake view. The custom made, well-stocked kitchen, meets the needs of fixing a picnic basket for your day on the lake, as well as preparing dinner as you enjoy a relaxed evening. Lake Keowee Marina and Tiki Hut are within view of the backyard and just a short boat ride away. The Lighthouse Restaurant is a 15 minute boat ride that offers an indoor restaurant for nice dining, as well as an outdoor area for dining that is more appropriate for your fun lake day attire. If you choose, you can spend a day hiking to several locally-known waterfalls that are just a short 20-30 minute drive. Check In- 4pm, Check Out 10am

This newer home is super-clean, has a fantastic view not blocked by trees, easy lake access and superb host! Upon entering I was wow’ed by the view. Beautiful inside and out, and it’s like you’re right on the water looking through the tall A-shaped windows. The view is also gorgeous from the kitchen, living room, loft sleep area and master. All furnishings new and clean, in good condition. No steep hills! Decks are furnished, comfy and roomy. The water at the dock is just right for swimming, paddle boarding or kayaking since its a small but wide cove just off the main lake. There are some yard and water toys, you may want to bring some floats to hang out in the water. The slide is fun for those with skinnier-hips (kids).
The firepit is next door, not for this house.
The “beach” area was smaller than shown—lake higher during our July 2023 visit, but still can walk on the sandbar to the little island. Lots of mica and some exoskeletons for the kids to find!
Hosts were very responsive and helpful.
Hubby loved it too, would choose this one again. He’s more succinct, with 3 words:

Sherry was delightful to work with. From the moment we booked, she answered any questions and was there for our needs until we checked out. The house is spectacular and the views are stunning. My kids and hubby enjoyed fishing every night and they especially loved the lights off the dock. This home is a quick drive to many restaurants and shops! Clemson was an easy for drive for us back and forth as we came to the area to visit the campus. You can't go wrong with this property!!

Our stay was very relaxing with incredible lake views. The house had everything we needed and plenty of room for for our party of six. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with a short drive to a Clemson football game. Easy drive back after the game also. We are looking forward to planning a return in the summer so we can enjoy the fabulous dock, fishing and clear lake water.

We’ve stayed in numerous VRBOs on lakes/oceans, this was our first in SC so wasn’t sure what to expect. The property was well maintained and owners clearly care about their property/business and aim to please. There were a few items that we have become accustomed to having that we couldn’t find such as a cutting board or hangers in the closets, but these were easy work arounds. In all our rentals, we’ve never seen kayaks as up-charges, but we bring our own so that didn’t impact us. The driveway was a bit difficult to maneuver with our truck and bike hitch, cannot imagine how we would have navigated that with our trailer had we brought our boat. However, I’m certain communication with the owners prior would probably find a solution in advance should someone be bringing their motorboat. Will definitely be taking some ideas for our future lake property with us such as the deck with TV and lights in the water, the latter made us appreciate just how healthy the lake is with nighttime feedings. If we visit SC in the future, would definitely consider renting this property again or another by same owners!

This is our 2nd time back to the 808 and it did not disappoint. We love the warmth of this home and you cannot beat the location . The cove is peaceful and my family loves to paddle out to the small islands nearby . Yoga on the deck in the morning to game playing and fishing at night . Sherry provides clear directions and suggestions for anything you need and immediately responds if you need her . We can’t wait to return .

Fantastic times
Thank you so much for sharing your house. From the well appointed kitchen to the fantastic views, this house did not disappoint. The kids had fun swimming from the dock after a nice day on the boat. We enjoyed our morning coffee and watching the sunsets on the dock. And the availability and ease of renting water toys is a great addition to this rental. Thank you so much!!!

Great family experience
Can’t say enough about how great this property was. From the beautiful house to the fabulous dock we enjoyed our time there thoroughly. My 4 and 5 year olds loved the yellow slide on the dock, and yhw great fishing off the dock as well. Sherry and Shane were very accommodating and always quick to answer questions. My family has already agreed that we will be staying at the 808 again.

absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
We had and absolutely beautiful week in this home. The hosts were very quick to respond for everything including prior to visit.
The views from the house were spectacular! The dock was relaxing! The house was clean as had everything we needed! Including enough towels to last the entire week without having to do laundry… like I said the little things!
We were able to view the fireworks from our deck and the house next door (also same owners)
Beds were all very comfortable, esp in the master bedroom! The kids liked the slide and being able to jump into the lake and swim right in our backyard!
The area was also beautiful. May waterfalls to visit
We would 100% come here again!

Islands in Paradise
Stayed at the property for a week with the family. Thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful rental, the lake, and fishing (fish are too smart). Many islands to explore if you have access. Boat rentals at the marinas were exhorbitant, so we did not take advantage of that, and would have liked to have had the kayaks included as part of the stay. The location was perfect for visiting Clemson, hiking and waterfalls. A few little minor things, but the home was in wonderful condition, and truly a pleasure to sit back and relax on the deck. Would have like to have met the owners, as I heard wonderful things about them. Overall, the kids did not want to leave, and that says all you need to know. Highly recommend, and would love to return.

Everything was great with lots of amenities. We had an 8mo and 5yo. Sitting and playing with baby on the back porch was awesome. 5yo loved the slide into the lake, swim stairs, dock, and shoreline. Nice shaded back porch for playing games. We took advantage of the owners offer to separately rent us lake toys (SUPs, peddleboat, etc.) that were conveniently waiting for us when we arrived. Quiet neighborhood. We had a blast.

Wonderful
The house is so beautiful and well kept... we really enjoyed relaxing on the back porch and enjoying the gorgeous view! It was also a nice treat to have a TV out there too to watch Sunday football ! Wonderful experience!
