We spent Christmass in this amazing location and the Reel Relaxing has been a great choice. The house was very nice, clean and comfortable inside, close to the beach and only 15 min walk from central Seasise Square.

This was a great house to rent. It was walking distance from the beach, city center, shops, food. It was comfortable, had everything you needed in the kitchen, and had plenty of seating inside and out. We very much enjoyed our stay! It’s been pinned because we will be coming back. Such a great stay.

My family enjoyed our stay. The location was excellent— a short walk to the beach and walkable to the seaside square (~0.6mi) through the neighborhood streets. The home was comfortable and quiet. It was a very relaxing and restful beach trip! Only negative is that the bathrooms need some attention/repair.
5.0
A fantastic deal given its proximity to ocean access, downtown seaside, and Publix. It’s a modest property on the size and scale of a 3 bedroom apartment. For us with teenage boys it was perfect; not too fancy but nice enough to enjoy a worry-free week.

Reviewer Comments:
This classic Seagrove Beach home is tucked in a cute part of Seagrove, three blocks from the beach. It's a 3-minute bike ride or an 8-minute walk down 395's sidewalk to the public beach access point directly across from Surfing Deer.
The layout of the bedrooms and common areas was great for our family of five (three kids under 6 and two adults).
The house finishes, furnishings (club chairs and microsuede red recliner need slipcovers or a deep clean), and the appliances are quite dated, however very very functional for what was needed. The rental staff were also timely, communicative, and friendly when we had a few questions.
We didn't use the screened-in porch as the vintage metal chairs were very uncomfortable for the kids and just not...cozy or inviting to really want to sit out there. BUT, we did see a beautiful deer in the yard the one time we were out on the screened-in porch. That was a very special memory!
The home is VERY close to Seaside proper, Seagrove classic spots (Cafe 30-A, Brozinni's, Surfing Deer, etc.), and the Watercolor Publix.
A plus was having the garage to store sand-covered items from the beach. The house was advertised as not having any beach gear and provided a rental credit to Vacayzen (A local rental company for all manner of beach items). The credit was enough for three beach chairs and an umbrella for the week. Greatly appreciated!
Overall, for the price, the layout of the home with kids, and the location, it worked really well for our family and we made some impactful and meaningful memories.

It was awful to sleep on and the pillows as well. The back yard was to scary for us so we didn't even go out back.

The house is in a great location and surrounded with new and renovated homes all around it. However, this property really needs to be renovated. The Master bath is circa 70/80’s and very tiny. The vinyl floor throughout the house shows every sandy footprint without adequate tools to clean up daily. The back porch is only accessible through one of the bedrooms which makes it almost unusable. There is no decent outdoor furniture to speak of. The yard was a mess when we were there, but the landscapers came on our last day and it looked a bit better after that. There was a minor plumbing issue they scheduled to work on during our stay and we received many conflicting calls about it from the management company. They showed up to repair it at 6Pm the night before our departure. Oh and the TV’s are all tiny and in odd locations. If you want a budget friendly Rental In a good location (and do not care about the quality of house) then this will work for you. Otherwise you might want to consider other properties.

Overall, we had a great stay. The property was clean but definitely a little dated. The location is wonderful. It's an easy walk to the beach and very close to shopping and restaurants. I would say our biggest complaints were the TV in the living room and the beds. The TV is from the 90's and only has cable with a DVD player. The cable worked about half the time, and you're not able to stream anything. The beds were extremely uncomfortable with flat pillows and plastic mattresses.

We just adored this little quaint cottage in the heart of Old Seagrove. It was perfect for my in-laws and our family of four. It was close enough to Seaside to walk or ride a bike, and plenty of places to walk our dogs. The yard had plenty of room for our dogs to run and play. We will definitely be returning here in the future. Definitely a hidden gem in the heart of Old Seagrove!!

It's just an old house in a great location (.25mi from the beach/restaurants/shops). As long as you know that, you won't be disappointed paying so much. But I did not know that...Benchmark describes themselves "a vacation rental company providing a luxurious experience with top-notch hospitality." However, this property is not remotely associated with luxury. For over $600/night I would have expected...something else. If this review gets posted publicly, and people read it, at least they will know what they are getting... 1. The house is very old and is not well maintained. From the curb appeal to the gates to the front door to the kitchen to the fixtures to the floors to the master bath (!!) it is clearly just an old, outdated, standard accommodation (NOT LUXURY) house that someone (an elderly couple from how the house smelled) is having Benchmark manage.2. Broken/failing things: the front door's glass will not close properly, leaving the screen open all the time; the kitchen sink leaks (I think just the handle is loose), the back door to the screened porch is extremely hard to open (but does look new); the light in the master bed is burned out (simple fix).3. The master bed is rock hard, so if you have an issue with your back it will be great but if like more plush accommodations, BYO mattress topper.4. Three outdoor seating spaces: The outdoor spaces have had zero maintenance. The front patio table is just old and rusty, but the mismatched plastic adirondaks are broken (if you weigh more than ~250, they will fail). The back...space (not yard) has an old, rusted metal glider bench with no cushions; it did not look inviting, rather scary, so we did not sit in it and cannot attest to its functionality. The screened porch does have a charcoal grill and two inviting rocking chairs, but as long as you know you have to sweep for spiders and that the space is just an unmaintained outdoor space, you won't be disappointed.5. We have stayed at a wide range of places, this has been by far our worst rental experience. We are simple people and do not have crazy high expectations. The only good thing about this place is the location. (1) When you pay hundreds of dollars in cleaning fees, you expect that the place would be clean!! Dirty floors, leftover hair and mold in the showers, cobwebs walls, stains on the sheets, holes in the blankets, the trash can was full of mold (something I would have never looked at of had it not been for the smell). (2) ROACHES, if this site had a place to upload photos, I would gladly do so. (3) Kitchen is completely not equipped for cooking even the simplest meals. It felt like they grabbed a bunch of trashy mismatched rusty pans, plastic cups and utensils from goodwill and shoved them in the cabinets. (4) Completely out of date, the TVs so small they look like computer monitors it is very inexpensive now to buy a decent sized television so that just hammers home the fact that the owners of this location do not want to spend any money, outdoor furniture is rusted, some pillows that were not actually pillows but rather a pillow case stuffed with cotton that was falling out! Meaning that the pillow case was probably not washed between tenants as it would be a real mess to have to fill it back up with loose cotton each time!! (5) It rained for a couple hours one day and before we knew it the driveway was completely flooded because there is so much outdoor debris that the drain got clogged. I called the rental company who said they would send someone, an hour later and no one came, we spend two hours unclogging it ourselves to save the garage from flooding, what a great way to spend our vacation! Oh and don’t forget one roll of toilet paper per bathroom so bring your own because these people are stingy!

This home is in terrible condition. Black mold in both showers and shower curtains. Furniture so old and worn and dirty that it needs to be replaced. All outside areas unusable due to filth of furniture and lack of cleanliness. Televisions so small you can barely see from across the room. No way to secure garage door. Laundry located in >100 degree garage. It states there is room for four vehicles. Truth is barely two. If it rains you can’t park in driveway. The driveway floods even with a small amt of rain and you have to step in 4”-6” of water to get to the front door of the home. The description of what we thought we were getting versus what we actually received were completely different. Do not recommend this rental until it is completely refurbished.

We had a wonderful week at Seagrove. Check in and check out was simple and quick. Location of Reel Relaxing property is excellent for walking to the beach and Seaside. The house definitely needs updating and an intense cleaning. Some of the furniture is worn out. The front patio would be very useful with a good cleaning and new furniture. With a little TLC, this property could be superb because of its location.

I grew up vacationing in the area and it certainly has changed over the years, but Seagrove still has the charm complete with sandy/shell gravel streets. Canal street is unique because it is a short walk to Seaside, but feels tucked in the woods. The house is actually on the canal and you can kayak all the way to Grayton beach state park right of your back porch if you are feeling adventurous. The beach access is a short walk as well. Don't miss hiking or trail running in Point Washington State Park, accessed about 2 miles from the house on 30a across from Grayton Beach State Parks entrance. You can make an 8 mile loop that brings you back via a path on 395. If you are lucky, you might see a black bear! We saw two deer, but the bears proved elusive once again. We typically hike/run in the morning. Then hit the beach in the afternoon. There are multi million dollar homes all over this area, one next door to this house. So this is a great value if you don't require the most up to date interior. You can stay twice as long for the same price of a short stay in a fancier place. For us, we'd rather put the money into the daily adventures rather than the place itself, so this strikes a perfect balance!

Great location. It was just minutes to the beach. The inside of the house was nice and well stocked for cooking. We took our two small dogs. The fence needed repaired.

Great pet friendly rental close to everything.
The location is perfect. It is quiet and short walk to Seaside restaurants and beach.
The house is convenient and comfortable. Love the location. I think the place could use some new paint and updates. Patio furniture for the front porch should be inviting and comfortable. The current chairs are neither. The beds are also not very comfortable and new mattresses would be a good investment. I also wish the back porch could be used more but the only access is through the bedroom so a little awkward. The place is small but clean and comfortable. Best part is the convenience of the location.

Great Location, outdated home
The location is great as Seagrove beach is just a few blocks away and Seaside center is just under a mile away. The house as well as its furnishings are outdated. This property needs serious updating and a a deep cleaning.

Great property!!
What a wonderful getaway!! My group just left Reel Relaxin' and I want to share our experience. The house is located three blocks from the beach, the distance was easily walked by the four adults in our group. The neighborhood streets are not pavement, but a mix between sand and gravel that is compacted well and would be easy to pull a wagon, stroller, etc for the beach. There are several beach access points open to the public. The beach access in this area is stairs, I didn't see a handicap entrance. The neighborhood is very quiet, the surrounding homes are beautiful and many of them are also rental properties. Watercolor and Seaside downtown are a quick 10minute walk. There are sidewalks the entire way. I would like to emphasize what a safe feeling community this area is. It’s definitely very family friendly if you are coming with kids. The house was very clean on arrival and the pictures available online represent the actual property very well. My group brought two senior dogs with us, there is a lovely small yard that the dogs enjoyed. I would like to support the previous post that this property should definitely upgrade the patio furniture. My group came from Houston, TX and we wanted to escape the humidity and heat. We would have appreciated being able to sit outside, however the patio furniture was broken, old and dirty. The grill worked well, and we grilled almost every night. One other item I would encourage the property manger to add would be additional kitchen towels. There was only one kitchen towel and two small kitchen wash rags available. The house had two fire extinguishers, the one in the garage is expired. A few more would have been nice because our group cooked most meals and home. We found the beds to be comfortable and plenty of bathroom linens. A few pillows did have dog hair on them. The AC did the job, there is a sign on the thermostat to not set to less than 70 degrees. We set it at 70, I think most of the time the house was around 70-73 degrees inside. Overall, the house definitely worked well for my group, we wanted a dog friendly and close to the beach getaway. I would recommend this place to any friends and family.

Short Stay at Beach
52 Canal Street was in a great location. Only a 10 minute walk away from the beach and the craziness that is 30A . Would definitely come back to this property.

Good value for the money
The property is old and could use some renovation, but it is clean, it has everything you need and the location is perfect. I’d rent it again.

We took a girls trip to Reel Relaxing and really enjoyed our stay!!! The cottage was very clean, it was an easy walk or bike ride to the beach, had a well-appointed kitchen, spacious living area and comfortable beds. The AC and ice maker worked perfectly! Our only comment was that the outdoor furniture could use some updating. The screened-in porch in the back was difficult/awkward to use because it was only accessed from inside, by going through one of the bedrooms. The side patio was a great space, but the small table and broken, mis-matched chairs made it not as usable/comfortable. It would have been nice to sit outside and enjoy the early mornings and evenings.
