About this cottage rental
Nestled in Wellesley Island, this charming cottage for £280 per night is a great option for your next break. This is a very special property that was built in the 1950's. The entire cottage has been updated while still keeping the original charm of a special getaway. A winding wooded driveway, which ends at the cottage, giving complete privacy from the street. Enter the cottage into a great room which is surrounded by windows and sliding doors giving a spectacular view of the St. Lawrence River. The kitchen recently renovated, has a full size refrigerator, conventional oven and an island all facing the open living and dining areas. A beautiful stone fireplace with a gas insert will add to the ambiance and keep it warm on cool nights. There is a large Smart TV in front of two comfortable leather couches. The cottage has 2 bedrooms on the main floor with an adorable loft above. The Master bedroom has it own 1/2 bath, Smart TV and a queen size bed that is facing the River. The cozy second bedroom has two twin beds. The loft features a pull down ladder for easy access to a charming area that easily sleeps two. The new washer / dryer are conveniently located in their own laundry room. Wake up to the sunrise while sitting on the spacious deck that feels like it is on top of the water. Enjoy the international ships that pass so close you feel like you could touch them. A St. Lawrence granite fire place is located at the waters edge with a picnic table, Adirondack chairs and a beautiful view of the 1000 Island Bridge. Travel back and forth to the main land across the stunning 1000 Island Bridge using a bridge pass is included with your stay.

There is a sense of calm as soon as you walk in the door. Sit on the deck that has a very wide view of the river! Watch the ships as they glide passed you so close and quietly. This was my 3rd visit & can't say enough about the property or Susan and Carlos!!

I have never stayed in a home that was so clean and well appointed. Perfect home for the 4 of us. The owners have everything you can imagine available at the home.
The ships are so close that you can wave to them. Being in the narrows you see and enjoy everything going on, on the river.
We enjoyed walks on the island and mainly lived on the deck.
The owners made sure everything was perfect for our stay. If we had a question they responded quickly. They love their little slice of heaven and it shows!
Our stay was amazing to say the least. The photos do not do the home justice.

We had a wonderful week at this beautifully renovated Wellesley Island cottage. The views of the river were breathtaking and could be enjoyed from large windows inside the cottage as well as a variety of comfortable sitting areas outside. The nautical/americana style decorating was well thought out and added to the comfortable, homey feel. Carlos was so friendly and accommodating and took great care to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing your beautiful vacation home and allowing us to create many special family memories! We hope to return next summer.

My family and I had a wonderful, relaxing week at the property. Loved sitting on the deck and watching the ships go by. Lots of amenities as well as a bridge pass which came in handy for the short drive to Clayton and Alexandria Bay.

Beautiful location on the river to see ships and relax, close proximity to Wellsley island park for a sandy beach or swim right from the deck at the house, quiet location with neighbors at quiet a distance so no one bothers you, quiet road for bike rides and walking the dog, just a perfect place!

If you are looking for a beautiful River experience, look no further!! We love the picturesque views, the peaceful location, comfortable updated interior, the thoughtful details and amenities that the hosts provides, outdoor seating for all views!! It is located on a ledge so there is no gradual grade to the water; however there is a swimming platform and safe levels to swim and stay cool on a hot Summer day. Pets are allowed but if you have dogs that love the water, it may not be possible for them to swim at this location. But plenty of area to go for walks!! :))

The cottage is adorable! The most important things to us are cleanliness and comfort, and this property was a winner on both counts. It was the best stocked property I have ever rented. Everything was in excellent condition. There were so many thoughtful items provided in case we may have forgotten anything. I contacted Carlos a couple of times and he answered promptly each time. We spent a good deal of time on the deck watching the ships . It was a lovely and relaxing vacation.

We had a great week watching the big boats go by and relaxing on the deck. Cottage has everything you need including bridge pass which is great. Spent a day in A Bay and one in Clayton shopping so it was nice to be able to go over bridge without paying every time. Carlos is an excellent hosts as well!

Our second trip this year to Susan & Carlos’ “Wellesley Island Treasure.” So many scenic locations for my tea time,
and endless freighters to watch. The cottage is roomy, and stocked up with all we could need. Close to A Bay, Clayton, Thousand Island Park, and easy walk to

We had a great time here! The house is lovely and Susan and Carlos were wonderful hosts. They were available to answer all our questions and gave us some great ideas of things to do during our stay. You will have everything you need to have an enjoyable time. We have stayed at other places where you pretty much have to bring along your entire kitchen if you intend to do any cooking. Their kitchen had everything we needed. I can verify all of the positive 5 star reviews. Not to mention that Thousand Islands is a truly unique and special place in itself. We did the usual sightseeing, bike rides, and walks, but just sitting on the deck and watching the ships go by was the most enjoyable part. We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back.

Amazing week
A great place in an amazing spot! We had so much fun from watching ships and all the antique boats pass by to floating in the river. Susan and Juan Carlos provided everything we could need and were excellent hosts. We are looking forward to our next visit 😃

We loved staying at the cottage. Perfect location right on the river. We spent more time at this cottage than at any other rental in TI, watching the boats, sitting on the dock, outdoor meals on the deck, cooking, enjoying the wonderfully furnished home. Easy to get to other areas with a short drive. Susan and Carlos are excellent hosts. They are very attentive, and paid special attention to making their guests incredibly comfortable. I can't say enough positive things about them. My husband said something I never heard him say on vacation..."I'm going to miss this..." Best stay ever!

With that said, the cleanness of this property is well within the top 5 on my list. The owners are very nice and thoughtful. We can just tell from all the details within the house that the owners truly consider us as the guests instead of the tenants. All the cook wares are in great condition, every sink had hand soap next to it, there’s plenty of pillows and blankets and they’re all spectacularly clean. The fridge is spotless. Bathroom bad travel size toiletries in it, and plenty enough towels. Not to mention the location is convenient. We love every minute of our vacation all because of this great house.

Picture perfect
By far our best VRBO vacation ever! Both the views and the house did not disappoint. The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We didn’t want for anything. We spent some time playing golf and tennis but mostly relaxed enjoying the view and house. When we had a question the owners were quick to respond and were so friendly and accommodating. Each of us including our pooch had a wonderful vacation.
