This is a perfect stay for a quiet getaway. Not a lot in town but it’s very cute and everything is a short drive from there.
Space had everything you could need and thing you didn’t know you would need - like Tylenol! Very clean, and owners are VERY nice!

The apartment was lovely and met all our needs. The setting was beautiful and convenient to hiking and Elizabeth City. We enjoyed the river view from our apartment and even took a very cold plunge. Hosts provided an up to date list of recommendations for food and entertainment which was very useful. Very nice and relaxing get away. Thank you!

Beautiful home and location. Super clean, spacious, quiet, comfortable and relaxing. Felt very welcomed with personalized greeting. Loved the decor. Great waterfront views from sunroom, bedroom, and front porch. All amenities and yummy snacks provided. Enjoyed great seafood at local restaurants.

Although the weather was rainy and cool, we had a wonderful stay in the cozy space. The grounds are beautiful and the water view was the best!!! The host/hostess were very accommodating and helpful, friendly and non-intrusive.

The owners made the check-in as easy as could be. They provided great communication leading up to our trip and throughout our stay. Their home is gorgeous and spotless. We enjoyed exploring the Outer Banks from there, as well as the Elizabeth City community of eateries and breweries. We thoroughly enjoyed sipping wine on the front porch and looking out at the water, all while being entertained by Gary the cat. Definitely a wonderful place to stay!

Cathy and Paul were fantastic hosts - very responsive, friendly, and all of their recommendations for food and drinks were hits. Seven Sounds and Ghost Harbour were great breweries to check out, The Mills was a nice little brunch spot with great Bloody Mary's, and the food and atmosphere at Paradiso was fantastic. They are a perfect distance from the town in a quiet secluded neighborhood. Bikes and canoes were provided and ready for us all day, and the dogs loved running around in their yard and on the dock. Highly recommend!

Great Property and adorable home!
We absolutely loved this place! The yard was amazing for our dog. The dock was a great asset to the property. We spent a good amount of time there. Very relaxing and peaceful. Property mangers were wonderful. Will definetly be on our stay again list! Only thing we would change is that the fridge be a little higher off the floor :)

If you want a quiet, relaxing place and a place close to water with water activities, this a place to stay. We almost spent our mornings in the water canoeing. This place is also very pet friendly. The hosts, Paul and Cathy are very accommodating and able to address all our needs. It so nice to come back and stay again here.

The owners are great hosts; they think of everything.
Nice unit, very comfortable. Our view of the river shore was both beautiful and tranquil while enjoying morning coffee.
Also watched neighbors walk or jog by.

The place was equipped with everything we needed and had great recommendations on places to eat and hang out nearby. Just a lovely place - well furnished and thoughtfully decorated.

Awesome little escape
I wanted to go somewhere for my boyfriends birthday to get away for a second and this place did not disappoint! The owners were awesome, they even wrote cute little notes to make it personalized! The town was fun and the deck was awesome to watch the sunrise! Would definitely come back again! Thank you for the amazing hospitality!

Delightful
My husband and I had a delightful stay at Paul and Cathy's Riverside property on a recent trip to Elizabeth City to visit family. The accommodations were everything we needed and the little personal touches made us feel like it was home away from home. The views from the porch were spectacular. Our favorite time was sitting there in the morning as the sun was rising and sipping a cup of coffee. If we travel to that area again we would very much hope to rent this property again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Paul and Cathy are gracious hosts. It was like staying in a one bedroom cottage in the Cotswold with a heavenly view of the river. The neighborhood is great for walking and gawking at the beautiful homes that line the river or near it. Very peaceful and all amenities needed on a trip are provided like coffee, paper plates and utensils, water bottles, shampoo etc.. Enjoy more views of the river by eating at Grouper's a mile down the street. The fried oysters there were delicious!!

A peaceful retreat with an amazing view
We very much enjoyed our stay in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Our spacious one-bedroom retreat came with a private dock and a great view of the water! The hosts were friendly and very responsive if we had any questions or concerns. Their recommendations on great restaurants and activities were very accurate and we tried several of them. I would highly recommend this property to any couple that wants to "get away from it all" and still access great places to eat and interesting places to visit. We loved it!

Even before we booked, the communication was spot on. They were in a list of potentials but the immediate response with such a welcoming feel made me book that same evening because I "just knew" that's where we wanted to be.

Communication was still constant and easy. They even pointed us in the direction of a very "off the grid" oyster bar that they warned was a dive... but it was the BEST SEAFOOD I've had in years! (I grew up in that area so I'm very biased)
We decided within the first day that we will be making our annual anniversary trips here for every year to come.

The Riverside private wing was exactly what we were hoping for; clean, comfortable, and nestled in a quiet neighborhood. A little slice of heaven
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Spending time in the rocking chairs on the porch and sitting on the dock brought us the relaxation we so very much needed! The property is beautiful and Paul and Cathy are the sweetest!!! A relocation may be in our future :-) Highly recommend Three Amigos, Tony’s Pizza, riding out to OBX for the day and visiting Dismal Swamp State Park!!

My stay at Paul and Cathy’s place was as promised. Such a clean and serene environment that I thoroughly enjoyed! I am an amateur photographer and was able to capture some amazing shots of the “Eagles of Rivershore Road”.
