The staff was amazing, really fun to talk to and always available to help us. The hostel itself is pretty modern, nice room designs and not too small even if shared. The restaurant inside the hostel is also really good. The hostel is also well situated in Asakusa. You can easily reach train stations and popular locations without any issues.
Wi-Fi connectivity and speed could have been better but that is definitely not a deal breaker...

The place looks great! I wish I had time to eat at the restaurant as well. Everybody was so nice and helpful. I like that each staff has his story presented at the reception, which makes it so much easier to speak with them! Also, While I wasn't a fan of the Shower on a different floor, I loved the sinks in the common area. You get to meet the other travelers during the morning washing routine.
The room was a bit of a mess with baggage and shoes thrown everywhere.

The staff was stellar, they went above and beyond to help us!
It was all good!

Excellent guest service, room was clean, great location but a bit far (15 minutes) from train station.
Lighting in the room & common area were dim, need brighter light bulbs, or put more lighting fixtures.

Really nice location near by Asakusa station. Perfect to start your trip in Japan!

Loved our room, most hostel rooms in Japan are very basic with just 3 futons on the floor. This room had proper beds and a desk and an artificial lemon tree and lots of little details which made it feel like a home away from home. The shared bathroom facilities were very clean and the communal area was a lovely place to sit of an evening and you could help yourself to free tea. They also allowed us to take other little toiletries for free which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and if you arrive early you can leave your luggage in front of the desk.
The location is perfect, just a short walk from the temple and if you come out and turn left there is a covered road of shops and restaurants just ahead of you, very convenient as we ate there several times and even got plug adapters in a shop there.
It’s a shame that the roof terrace was not open as I’m sure there would have been an amazing view.

It was a great place to stay ! The staff were really nice and the location is near the Senso-ji temple and all the major train line stations. I felt safe in the hostel and everything worked well. Would reccomend this for a Tokyo trip.

My son and I stayed at the hostel for three weeks because we wanted a home base for exploring Tokyo and venturing out to other locations like Enoshima Island and Kyoto. Here's what was great about our stay:
* The Staff: the people working at the hostel were a group of friendly and helpful 20 somethings with an excellent command of English. They were always willing to help out with any issues or concerns we had. I want to give a special shoutout to Mio who helped us arrange a visit to Enoshima Island. She was exceptionally helpful and friendly at all times and I really enjoyed just talking with her.
* The Location: the hostel is located in Asakusa, steps away from the Senso-ji temple which is the oldest temple in Tokyo and a major tourist destination. It's also next to Hanayashiki, the oldest amusement park in Tokyo. While there are many shops, restaurants and bars very close by, the hostel itself is located on a quiet residential side street. I appreciated the convenience of being able to walk to whatever I needed but still having a quiet place to retreat to at the end of the day.
* The Room and Facility: We stayed on the 3rd floor in a room with one full sized bed and two bunk beds. It was small (typical for Tokyo) but the beds were extremely comfortable and the room was decorated nicely. Our floor had three sinks and three toilets which I appreciated since the showers are on the first floor (a little inconvenient but not a big deal). I especially want to shoutout how clean the common areas were. The toilets and shower area were immaculate.
When I booked the hostel I didn't realize it doesn't have a kitchen for guests to use. There is a kitchen in the photos of the facility but it belongs to a restaurant that rents out the ground floor (the restaurant is pricey but excellent if you're in the mood for Italian food). The day I left, the hostel added a little convenience area in the lobby that has a toaster oven, electric kettle and microwave along with a small refrigerator so that does somewhat mitigate the lack of a kitchen.
There were renovations taking place on our floor when we arrived at the hostel (to be fair, they were completed in a few days). The staff worked hard to minimize any disruption to the guests but it would've been nice to be informed before we arrived.
The roof patio was unavailable during our visit but given how hot it was during our stay I'm not sure we would've spent much time there anyway.
The hostel seems to attract couples and families and there is zero socializing between guests. if you're looking for a classic social hostel experience, this isn't your place.

This is my second time booking this hostel and it exceeded my expectations from last time. The place has been renovated in the last few months and the new look is very nice. The staff is very friendly and all areas are super clean, which was also better compared to last time. Well done ;-)
The staff must inform you of the door code as the main door is automatically locked after 11pm. The information must be displayed in the booking details on booking.com or in any of the countless e-mails sent out to us prior to arrival. I didn't know the code and had to sleep somewhere else with no access to my personal belongings. What a shame! Paper towels in the bathroom area would be nice. Otherwise everything was fine.

The second receptionist was friendly. The hostel has an elevator. We had a room on the second floor. There were also washbasins there. The futon bed was comfortable. There were free toothbrushes and toothpaste. The hostel is very close to the Asakusa Shrine. You can rent a bike for 300 yen for the whole day.
I was disappointed with the hotel. In the pictures it looked new and fancy. But that is not the case. There is a lot of luggage standing around in the lobby. There are bags of laundry next to the elevator. The first employee at the front desk seemed bored. He told us to check in with a QR code. Towels were not included in the price. You have to buy them for 300 yen. Our room for two persons was very small. There was only a side table, mirror and the bed. The paint on the walls of the column in the room was partially off. Behind the bed is a decorative light. You can not turn it off. But it is possible to cover it with the curtain. The walls are very thin. You can hear the people from the neighboring room when they are talking normally.

300 yen for bike rental!! I was wondering where tourists rented their bike, so actually it was from hostels like this! Make sure you take advantage of this. There is also an elevator if you have heavy luggage which is awesome (not that we did). It was also right next door to the Senso-ji Temple markets, Ueno park (various museums) and the Tokyo Skytree. The area is also perfect for a one way express train away from the airport. So if you are arriving late from the Narita airport, we definitely suggest exploring this area first. Otherwise if you have a booking in Shinjuku or Shibuya, you would have to exchange two or three different train lines which can be annoying!
The receptionists themselves were pretty good at speaking English, especially in comparison to most hotel receptionists, as most of them are probably working there to improve on their English in the first place anyway.
Our room itself was actually quite spacious and "open natural lighting". This is really good if you are Australian and you prefer wooden interior. I didn't like some other hotels which were "darker" and more "dim light".
The price is really good! Kind of wish we stayed here instead of our first hotel at the beginning of our trip (which was also triple / quadruple the price too!). There was also laundry too, if you are someone who likes to do laundry a lot while they travel.
I didn't like that we were only given one key, and the room would automatically lock. However, they gave us clear instructions and reminded us about this issue. But my partner still forgot when he left the room and filled his water, so we had to ask the reception for the master key to open the door.
The bed itself was a futon style, so you can feel the floor a bit. But that's natural for the price and we were there for one night anyway. Shower was a bit small but really clean. You had to go to the bottom floor. These are honestly minor things though, and if you are used to hostels you know this is not really an issue but booking.com is forcing me to write more ~

Clean and good location.
Pictures of the rooms are a bit misleading. The “deluxe” room is not any better. Lockers are small and don’t fit much.

Will definitely visit again.

the atmosphere was nice and the beds were comfortable. we noticed that the single bed was softer than the bunk beds. the location was really near a huge tourist spot, but also a really nice supermarket too!
the girl working at the counter was kind of in a bad mood when we came to leave our luggage before the check-in, but then later when we came to actually check in she was pretty pleasant, so that was a bit confusing? the showers were very limited in number so we had to wait for our turn, but it wasn't too bad!

Excellent location, clean room and friendly staff
Mattress a bit on the thin side, you can hear people on other rooms if they are loud

Friendly staff, clean, tastefully furnished, good location, minimalistic, practical and functional (showers, storage space under the beds, interior design).
A bit more space and more hooks on the walls/door would have been nice. Neighbors were mostly considerate and quiet at night - but sometimes not.

Bedroom is comfortable
Staff is friendly and helpful
Shower is comfortable
Tumble dryer doesn't dry well but after a few times staff will help you to get it dried for free
You have to go down to the 1st floor to shower, where everyone can see your half awake self.
There's not only no kitchen, but not even any silverware or other equipment to eat your own food. Staff expects and (politely) suggests you to eat at their (expensive) restaurant.
The restaurant doesn't only take away the ability to have a kitchen but can also be a burden sometimes. There's many disturbing smells and noises when you're sitting in the common room, which is in the same area.
10.0
Great location, cozy stay
Shower room only available at ground floor, which is open to the lounge and the restaurant area. It's a bit inconvenient.
