We couldnt stay there and had to go find a hotel. Couldnt reach the host, couldnt find the property, mis advertised as a house, but its a tiny trailer, cant fit 10 people as advertised, not clean. I was mad that all my relatives had to be inconvenienced and i was embarrassed

Host canceled our booking without communicating, just canceled. We were only coming for one night and looking forward to it. We didn’t learn that it was cancelled until midnight the night before.

We were really looking forward to our stay on the river. When we arrived the door to the camper wouldn’t open, we thought it must be locked. The owner responded quickly to that call and told us pull hard “someone had slammed it prior and it was a little broken”. I’d also asked about the float in the water not being fully inflated and was told “it had been that way for 2 weeks” and it would still be fun to be on and use though he’d come the next morning to try to get it inflated. (Why not before when you knew about it?) Back in the camper, the AC in the back bonus room where the beds are, wasn't working when the thermostat said it should be. We had questions on the amount of water and showering for 6 people based on the hook up situation and not being a full hook up from what we could see. The owner was not answering our calls, messages, or texts at this point so we waited. While waiting we discovered dead bugs all over the bathroom floor and realized the door issue was actually a safety issue as it took people to finally get it to open again to go out after we’d closed it. Unfortunately the owner was not responding, so we called Vrbo (there were too many problems to stay). The owner did finally message back but any further interactions we had were defensive and changing stories/excuses for not being available so none of us truly know or trust what was going on. I’m glad VRBO backed us with their guarantee but it still ruined the trip for our family and friends.

Evening sitting on the beach was magical. We needed the relaxation after driving all day. Comfy & restful. Thank you.

You are right on the river across from main freeway, but private. I was excited at first, but disappointed that the boats advertised were all too low on air so that we could not use them. The party barge had so much algae, you couldn’t enjoy the portion to lay in the water/place your feet in and the algae water kept splashing on me from the other section. I drove over a hour from Bend and received a call that my Daughter-in-law was being induced early. I returned to Bend for the special moment and drove back the following day. I paid for 2 nights and happy to under the circumstances, I can see It was a blessing we were not there for 2 nights, without having the fun things we were intending to do. Lots of spiders in the boats,, did not appear that they have been used recently. The final straw was the owner stating “his guests” were arriving Friday, as if my booking on VRBO didn’t come with entirely the same importance of being his guest. I am certain if he had been home he would’ve taken care of everything, but he was not, and the property was not prepared in a respectful manner for our stay. I honestly feel cheated and I am sure it was not the owner’s intent to cheat anybody, but it is honestly how we felt. I would have brought our own boats,, but it seemed so much simpler that they were already there for our visit. My son and I were looking forward to kayaking and floating the river.

Our visit started out a bit rocky as the owner forgot we were coming. Once that was resolved it nice stay.

Beware of river life envy.
A previous booking that I had booked a year in advance was cancelled ( the owner had a baby and moved in f/t) and I had no hopes of finding anything comparable with only two weeks notice. The reviews about the noise/location/ and condition of the 5th wheel prepared me to have low expectations and I was just grateful to get availability. I was more than pleasantly surprised and had a very relaxing four days. On the positive side - Randy as a host was responsive, easy going, accommodating and even though you're in the back of his property he respected your privacy. I never saw him except at check in. There is privacy on the river as the neighboring house is behind a bank of blackberries. The driveway down to the river is angled that ensures privacy from above. The river depicted in the pictures made it appear I could go upstream in my canoe and 55lb thrust motor. Not so. We were able to float downstream from his place a tiny ways and come back up with our battery powered motor, but would recommend putting your boat in at Chinook Park 5 miles down if you only have a trolling motor. We did catch 1/2 pound Steelhead smolts from his place (it was July) so I can't complain. There's a family of weasels living in a burrow by the river so the fish I had on a string were too temping for the weasel family who came out steal them. My dog was able to scare them off, but just a heads up. We also saw tons of wildlife- eagles and hawks took out more fish from the river than we did. Herons, geese, ducks, and osprey accompanied us on the river. The fifth wheel has proof of being well loved and lived in but nothing that was worn out or abused. The A/C was strong and we used it full blast without any problems. The shower pressure/hot water was great, the bed was super comfy, and the kitchen worked great (need good can opener). I couldn't really talk about the highway noise as the A/C was on the whole time and while on the river, the highway noise was drowned by the river- so it was a non issue. Improvements- the grates going into the 5th wheel hurt the feet going in and since you can't wear shoes in the RV, my suggestion would be to put some non slip mats on the stairs. Also- bring bug spray and an elevated cot for your dog since there are boxelder bugs that are a nuisance. Finally- there are lights that line the driveway that were difficult to maneuver with a car/trailer so positioning those differently would help. Recommend for a relaxing river life vacation.

Although we had an ok time, I believe the ad largely falsified what you get and we were grossly over charged for what we got.
The location is at the end of a bunch of manufacturers homes. It is literally in the backyard of one. They make you park up by there home in a very small space which makes unpacking/ packing difficult.
Inside the trailer was nice however the smell was almost unbearable. It smelt like very strong old lady perfume. They appeared to have drenched the master bed with it. The laundry hamper in master closet was full of old dirty bedding and towels. There were numerous window screens that were were broken. The front door (screen) is broken as well so you have to close the main door at all times. The ceiling in the living room leaks when AC is used (owner was aware before we came but never mentioned it). The furnace did not work so we had to use a space heater in the living room and leave the bedroom doors open. It still got pretty cold at night.
The boat in the pictures is not included.
In someone's backyard
Complaining we drive to fast.
Fishing poles broken, none have hooks
No fishing supplies
Wood implied free. $10 a bundle
Dog poop on beach
Fished for hours only caught sticks
Firewood is far/wheelbarrow yourself

Pleasantly Surprised
When my friend told me that we were going to be staying in an RV instead of a hotel, admittedly it was disappointing. I am not a roughing it kind of person. It was fantastic! The RV was very spacious we had kids and dogs and adults with us. We all had an amazing time and were very comfortable. Management was so nice and easy to deal with. I will definitely be using his RV again.

Thank you for such a memorable weekend stay. We found the accommodations to be clean, comfortable and quite welcoming. The evening we arrived, we enjoyed a fire in the river-side pit, watching the stars. During the day, we (and the dogger) enjoyed sitting on the beach, watching the river flow by - mergansers, drift boats and rafts, wading fly fishermen and ashore, free-range chickens. Quite a show! The host was very communicative in the lead-up to our arrival and very friendly throughout our stay.

It is tucked away on the property of the owner, who erected a small fence for privacy. There is the 1-5 freeway across the river, which is so loud that you can’t enjoy river sounds. The RV is fairly new and very clean. However, guests need to be aware that the bathtub is about 4 feet long and the water is a trickle. The hosts say when you shower; get wet, turn off the water and soap up, then turn the water on for rinsing. Our bed was ok but there was no space on either side to get in the bed. You had to climb in and out. It’s a somewhat small trailer but a couple with a child could manage. Keep in mind that you need to walk downhill on gravel carrying your suitcases and groceries. There is a small gravel hill to negotiate to reach the sandy area by the river. The ducks floating by were charming. The owner’s chickens were fun! Our hostess waved to us when we arrived but we didn’t meet her. We left a day early as we had a long drive ahead and stayed at a hotel halfway. I wish that I could be more encouraging. It was ok but not outstanding.

High expectations led to disappointment
My family was excited about staying in a cool trailer for a night and that part delivered. What was disappointing was the location. The trailer is parked below someone’s (presumably the owner’s) back yard and the river borders I-5. This made for a lot of road noise and the perception of a lack of privacy even though there was a partial fence and we didn’t see anyone except a couple of nice kids upon our arrival. My own kids were disappointed to learn that the trampoline and fort they saw were not part of the trailer rental and off limits. They explored the river some but we didn’t spend much time there because of the road noise. The trailer itself was clean and comfortable. We all slept well. There were snacks available which we thought was so generous until we saw the jar that listed prices and realized it was just a mini bar. Makes sense but just one of many things about this property where our initial impression was inaccurate and caused some disappointment. This is a fun opportunity to stay in a trailer but I hope this review helps future guests better set their expectations.

Seven of us traveled from Santa Cruz, CA to Oregon to visit family. We stayed at River Life for three nights and had an amazing time! It was hassle free glamping at it's best! I was a bit concerned it would be crowded in the travel trailer and took a tent just in case. However, it was very spacious and slept all seven of us quite comfortably...no tent required.
Aubree and Jake are great hosts and were very responsive to any questions we had. I also appreciate them being open to our family joining us in the evenings for dinner. Their pets were cool too! Their four chickens hung out with us in the mornings and their dog, Maya hung out with us in the evenings. Just steps away from the trailer is the beach and river. The Rogue River can be intimidating but the water at River Life was fun and we felt safe swimming there.
Our only regrets are that we couldn’t stay longer, and that our days were so full of other plans that we didn’t get to enjoy River Life more during our stay. We look forward to staying again in the future! Thank you Aubree and Jake.

The RV was a convenient place to spend a night. Clean, cozy, convenient, and Aubree was thoughtful and helpful. It was indeed right on the river, which was lovely, though unfortunately, I-5 is right on the other side of the river, so the noise of the freeway made it less restful and quiet than we had hoped.

Although this little nugget on the Rogue River is close to the owner's property, you don't even know it's there because the view of the river is so beautiful. The sandy beach is clean and perfect for hanging out. The current wasn't strong, so swimming was quite fun. Aubrey, the owner came down to greet us. She was very friendly and welcoming. My only suggestion would be to have ice ready for guests. Great stay!

Pros: The property host was friendly, and very quick to respond to our messages. The trailer is new and has been kept in good condition, and was very clean on the INSIDE.
Cons: Let me start by saying that I was so excited to visit this property, and looked forward to our trip for weeks. When we found it, we thought it would be the perfect location to get a camping experience without the hassle of packing sleeping bags, or towing a trailer from Utah to Oregon. When we arrived, I cannot tell you how disappointed I was. There really is no way to know without reading the other reviews that this trailer is located in their backyard, and even though they have added a privacy fence (which wasn't posted when we booked) you can still see into the windows of the trailer from their backporch. There are very close neighbors on either side of the property so this was in no way secluded. We wanted to have space the let the kids play and explore, but we felt like we couldn't leave the trailer without having observers on all sides of us. From the views of the river, you would think you could fall asleep listening to the sounds of the water. But even standing right next to the water you can't hear the river over the sounds of the freeway on the other side. We didn't realize that his property is on the other side of the Pacific Hwy, and you hear the traffic all night long. We went off the past wonderful reviews, but this was definitely not what we expected, and we left a day early. In addition, the campground was not cleaned up. There was a deflated turtle pool float left on the beach, along with a ripped and tattered folding chair and old patio chairs, not the beautiful camping chairs from the picture. There wasn't a boat for guest use as the pictures describe, and there were remnants of an old play house dumped on the side of the walkway down to the beach. The pictures show this large gravel area but the camp host blocks the driveway so you have to park next to their back porch and carry your bags and groceries to the trailer. I asked if we could park closer and was told that if we drive on the pathway they will lose their land the next time the river rises. Lastly their husky wanders the area, and lounges next to the trailer or blocks the driveway. They said their dog is friendly but it tried to nip one of my kids, and growled when my husband tried to pet it, and it wasn't friendly with our dogs. We don't recommend this for a quiet getaway, & we won't be back.

Amazing Getaway!!!
Beautiful views, beautiful travel trailer, inside and outside set up is amazing! New travel trailer with great floor plan and extremely comfortable. The A/C worked great and enjoyed the massive DVD collection in the evenings. Outdoor space is awesome, lots of seating, great little outdoor gas grill, lots of room to spread out, relax and enjoy the views of the beautiful Rogue River! Easy walk down to the huge and private sandy beach complete with firepit! Great for families. Owner/host is absolutely wonderful and provided nice touches throughout. Loved the outdoor lights and the snack basket inside the trailer was so thoughtful! Camping at its best!
