Dans house was a great winter escape. The house was clean and cozy in a great neighborhood of Akron. We enjoyed the fire place and espresso maker, and our puppy enjoyed running in the back yard. Thank you for the great stay.

We were in Akron to visit our son and granddaughters and celebrate an early Christmas with them. This home is very clean and we felt comfortable and right at home there from the start! We went to the Christmas spectacular at Stan Hywet…we could have walked because it’s so close to the house. Fully fenced in backyard was a real bonus for our little Beagle. It’s located in a very quiet neighborhood on a dead end street. I highly recommend staying here!

Property was as described. A nice older home, very well kept. Beautiful neighborhood to walk around and admire all of the huge houses/manshions. The completely fenced in back yard was a huge selling point for us as we brought our two dogs. Very comfortable stay, would rent again if in the area. Dan was very nice and helpful, great communication.

The listing is very accurate. The livingroom, diningroom and kitchen are large and accommodating. The hot tub worked perfectly. The location was great to easily get to everything of interest in Akron. Highly recommend.

Check in process very easy and Dan was readily available. Backyard was nicely enclosed for our dog. The couch and recliner are comfortable for relaxing after a day of hiking. The twin beds are comfortable but the king bed could be replaced as one side is broken down. Our older backs could tell. Maybe others could not tell with the foam topper. Knowing these things I still gave it a 5 based on location, Dan’s availability, and the overall features for what we wanted.

We loved staying at this rental and will definitely look for its availability in the future. The area is close to our son and is beautiful and safe. The decor and layout of the rental is strikingly more beautiful in person than photos can convey. Dan made himself easily accessible and checked up on us like a friendly neighbor. It is about a 40min drive to airport/downtown Cleveland so plenty to do and see. Highly recommend this rental

We really enjoyed our stay here. This was a clean comfortable house, centrally located between the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Football Hall of Fame. Also close by was the national park. Key features were the quiet safe neighborhood and the fenced backyard for my dogs. Another plus was the fun and interesting Akron zoo.

We loved this house. There was plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 dogs. There was an amazing fenced in yard for the dogs. There was a hot tub and koi pond. The house was close to everything. We were in town to see our son and to go to a concert at Blossom. Thank you so much for a great stay!!

We felt so at home in Dan's place! The property is gorgeous and it was so quiet and serene. We loved watching the birds come to the window each morning also! Would absolutely stay here again and again when in town.

We really enjoyed our stay at In The Shadows Of Mansions. We felt at home with the eclectic, warm decorating style, well supplied kitchen, spacious and comfortable sitting and dining areas. The neighborhood is wonderful, with many restaurants and amenities very close by. Recreational opportunities abound in the area. We also enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels feeding at the bird feeder out the front window. Wish we had more time to enjoy the private backyard and hot tub.

House was very nice and well furnished and well equipped. The location was great for hiking in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. And also for hiking in some of the Metro Parks. Quiet neighborhood and neighbors were friendly.

This place is really close to the blossom center and CVNP. We stayed 3 nights as a part of a larger road trip and kept really busy doing things in the surrounding area. We didn't use the kitchen but it looked well stocked. We didn't get a chance to use the hot tub either. One evening we got take out and sat by the pond for a couple hours. It was very relaxing. Owner drops by daily to check hot tub and take care of pond.

We had a great time at Dan’s place. We have stayed here before and it is always clean, quiet, roomy and just a perfect location! Dan is so cordial and responsive. It’s our “go to” spot in Akron for our Summer getaway.

House was clean, comfortable and as pictured. Backyard is beautiful. Owner was easy to work with. Cuyahoga Valley National Park was super easy to access from this location. Neighborhood was quiet and residential.

The price was reasonable for such a large and clean property. The temperature was set just right, and the TV was better than mine! The beds were comfy. Nice quiet street which dead-ends onto a little park. Everything you could want in a kitchen was there. It was very close to both Stan Heyett and Cuyahoga Valley National Park, both places we planned to visit. Easy to get anywhere in the vicinity from here. Yes, I recommend this place and owner highly.

Property could use a little updating, but overall this is a GREAT place for a small family, especially if you have a pet. Fenced in backyard is wonderful! And Dan is very responsive.
