About this house rental
Located in Lake Gaston, this attractive house for £478 per night is a great option for your next break. Welcome to Blue Pointe! This wonderful cottage has everything you need and more to have the perfect getaway at Lake Gaston! The spacious house, the water, the sun, the sand... that's right! Your eyes did not deceive you! This perfect spot even has its own beach area for all to enjoy! Can this place be any more perfect? When you arrive at this home, you will walk in through the mud room to a beautiful open-concept main floor. The large and spacious kitchen is equipped with all the bells and whistles so that you can prepare and share as many meals as you need! Everyone can gather around the large dining tables, inside or out, for a family meal or card game! The main floor living and dining rooms feature a wall of glass doors and windows that give panoramic views overlooking the peninsula lot and water. The doors lead out to the wrap around deck that has a gas grill and plenty of seating for all. This deck is the ideal spot for everyone to sit, relax, reflect on the day's adventures, and have a cocktail! The main floor also features a spacious master suite, and upstairs, off of the living room, you will find two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom. Off of the kitchen, you will find a set of stairs that lead down to the massive basement! In the basement there is a large living area, games galore, and another master suite! We also have a super comfy sleeper sofa down there for extra sleeping space! This area is the perfect spot for kids and teens to have their own space while parents are upstairs! Or parents can come down and enjoy the games, while the kids play outside! We have even added an extra level of protection with the fenced in area of the yard that protects anyone from having direct access to the lake from the basement. However, we did add an extra gate at the back to make getting to the water nice and easy when you are ready to go! As wonderful as the inside of this house is, the absolute best feature of this property is the LOT! And isn't that what you come to the lake for anyway? Spending time outside, soaking up the sun, and making memories on the water is the key to a successful vacation. There is room to do just about anything you want at this spot! Not to mention, it is completely FLAT! No giant hills or stacks of stairs to get down to the water here! More than enough room for kids to run and play. There is even room to have a pick up family football game if you want! This lot is located at the mouth of a very deep cove that opens up directly to the main lake. You have the best of all worlds at this spot. You are tucked back enough to where you do not have to worry about constant boat traffic, but you also have direct access and wide open views of the main lake! This property has a stunning double boathouse, perfect for swimming or fishing! Unfortunately, the boat lifts are not available to guests, but you are more than welcome to tie off and store your vessels at any of the many cleats located on the dock. As we mentioned before, there is a wonderful beach area that is great for laying out or taking a leisurely swim. You'll find the home fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans and about 90% of what most people need. If you need a specialty utensil or tool it might be best to bring it to avoid any hiccups to meal preparation. The management staff can assist with any special requests and is always available to help with whatever you need! The bathrooms are stocked with courtesy soaps and shampoos designed for quick "off the shelf" use. Each bathroom has a roll of septic-friendly toilet tissue as a starter. Some use more, some use less. You are encouraged to bring whatever you feel you might need beyond the courtesy roll provided. A few more tid-bits... :) 1. Pets are welcome for a fee of $250.00. No cats please! 2. The house, like 99% of all lake homes, uses a septic system. This system is a finely balanced biological system. Please help us keep it working flawlessly by flushing ONLY toilet paper. Renters are responsible for any damage caused by misuse. 3. Bow-Riders and deep draft Wake Board boats need to check their Humminbirds to ensure adequate depth in all coves. Pontoons should have no issues and everyone is welcome to tie off at the dock with rental boats. You won't see much heavy wave action making it a safe haven for docking (make sure to bring your bumpers!) We would love to have you come stay and can’t wait to hear about all of the adventures you create while staying at our little slice of heaven!

Really nice property. Great location and the house is beautiful. Nicely equipped with games, grill, and kayaks. Only issue was the shower drain not working properly in the master bathroom.

We found the property to have everything that we needed. Beautiful view! We like to sweep/vacuum daily when in a rental house since there are so many of us going in and out. We could only find a small broom in laundry room, so we called the office. Within 12 hours, a brand-new vacuum cleaner was dropped off to us.

We definitely will return to Lake Gaston- it’s a great place for our extended family to get together and enjoy the beautiful lake. As noted above, the owners of the Five Mile Sunrise came in a week after our reservation was confirmed with the deposit and wanted the house that week. Due to their work schedule, several of our family members were unable to vacation that next week. When we couldn’t make the switch, the owners just cancelled our reservation. LGVR staff were diligent and kind in finding the Blue Pointe for us and making up the difference in cost.

From beginning of rental process through check out, couldn’t have asked for more! House is beautifully renovated and set up well for two families with kids. We had one small unexpected incident upon arrival, and property management dealt with it immediately! Looking forward to a return visit.

Excellent week had wonderful time with family
This is a beautiful home. Everything you need is there. Boathouse is excellent . Little closer would have been nice but still enjoyed tremendously .Would recommend this home to anymore . Not suitable for someone with bad knees or unable to walk far because of the amount of steps and distance to boathouse . However, the downstairs would work . My older children enjoyed everything that was available to use at the boathouse .Thank you for opening up your house .

Lake life at it’s best!
We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday with family and friends. The house was absolutely perfect. The little beach area was great for the kids and the boat and jet ski access. The multiple porch/balconies with stunning sunset views were amazing. The boathouse and dock were fantastic. We can’t wait to go back!

Amazing property, but poor communication
GREAT house- it was perfect for three families with children. Very clean, great dock with a lot of floats to use. Beautiful location and really fun basement area. The only drawback was we had very little communication with property manager/ owners. We asked several questions leading up to the trip & during & had no response. We wanted to use the kayaks and could not get in touch with them to confirm code to open them. That is the only drawback- incredible house!
