Hummingbird Haven is a 1,100 square foot two-story log cabin in Berlin, Ohio that offers a luxurious retreat with all the comforts of home. Located on a small side street off of Main Street in Berlin. The layout features a full bathroom on the main floor, a first-floor bedroom with a king bed, two queen-sized beds in the loft, a king-sized bed and full bathroom in the finished basement, and a front porch with rocking chairs. Living Room: The huge log pillars and beams that greet you at the front entrance lets you know there will be room to spare in this spacious standalone cabin. The large living area boasts a gas fireplace encased in a handcrafted stone hearth towering for two floors to the peaked ceiling. A full-size sofa and two comfy chairs make for good spots to nap by the fire, read a good book, or watch the 50-inch Roku Smart TV. Split log planking, roughly finished beams, and hardwood floors provide the perfect surroundings as you enjoy your breakfast or play your favorite board games at the Amish-made table that seats eight. This room has its own heating and air conditioning unit to maximize your comfort. Kitchen: The kitchen area is home to a full-size refrigerator with a freezer, and an oven complete with a 4-burner stovetop. There are ample pots and pans if you feel like making your favorite vacation meal, or a microwave oven for heating up the leftovers from one of our amazing restaurants in town. The extra-deep sink and rustic wood counters provide added charm. A toaster and drip coffee maker round out the appliances which are at your disposal. Bedroom 1: Enjoy a plush king-size bed in your private bedroom with a gallery-sized window to enjoy the natural light. Bathroom: The main floor bathroom has a tub/shower unit. A hairdryer and all the amenities you need to get your day off to a great start are provided for your convenience. Loft: Ascend the stairs to your roomy loft where 2 queen-sized beds are tucked under the eaves and await your cozy slumber. Enjoy your view of the beautiful arched window and the living space below. A decorative ceiling fan ensures that your sleeping climate is ideal for a great night’s sleep. Downstairs: The lowest level of your cabin is the primary reason that the Hummingbird Haven is a great choice for your family or group of friends. At the foot of the stairs, you will find another large screen Roku TV to keep everyone entertained. When you feel like relaxing in style, slide back the wooden barn door to reveal the jacuzzi tub encased in quarried stone. A second tub/shower unit, hairdryer, and essential amenities complete the downstairs bathroom. When you decide you have had enough fun for one day and are ready to turn in, the queen size bed resting on a base of corrugated metal and pinewood trim assures you will be slumbering in truly unique rustic luxury. There is no onsite office. Access to your unit is via keyless entry with a code we will provide you upon confirmation This cabin is located on a property with other stand-alone cabins. While located in a peaceful and serene setting, your cabin is less than a mile away from the heart of Berlin with all its shops, restaurants, flea markets, and attractions. In a 10-mile radius of your tranquil base are the villages of Mt Hope, Bunker Hill, Charm, and the towns of Walnut Creek and Millersburg. Along the way to places like Bunker Hill Cheese, Breitenbach Winery, or the Amish Country Theater, you may come across a team of horses plowing the field, Amish farmers shocking wheat or making hay, and some of the most beautiful countryside in the Midwest. Public transportation is limited in our area, but the charm of Amish country is driving the back roads and coming across sights you cannot find anywhere else. When you want to get down to serious shopping there is free public parking available in town and at all the attractions outside of town. There are even several places where you can travel as our Amish neighbors do in a genuine Amish buggy driven by one of our local Amish men who will tell you little-known facts about the plain folk's way of life. Non-Smoking Rooms We are strictly non-smoking. Outside areas may be used for smoking only if the smoke does not enter any of the accommodations. A $250/night fee is assessed for smoking. No Pets Pets (no matter how well behaved) are not permitted at our properties. Please respect future guests with allergies and our efforts to keep up all rooms to highest standards. A $100/night pet fee is assessed. Zero-Tolerance Party Policy - We pride ourselves in providing a quiet, secure, location without the party - the kind of place where you got to enjoy a nap, a good book, the company of friends, and the beauty of Ohio's Amish Country We will not tolerate any behavior that disturbs other guests, including playing music too loud, arguments or fights, slamming doors, or damaging units. Any of these behaviors can result in your being asked to leave without a refund.
