Head over to the Marina where you can rent kayaks or boats for a day out on the bay! If all of that seems like too much, then simply sit back on one of the decks with views of the Chesapeake Bay or the marina and lounge away with a drink in hand! Walk through a private walk-way to the Oyster Farm Seafood Eatery for great seafood and drinks whether you are enjoying a romantic date or a family affair. Head into the historic district of Cape Charles to enjoy the shops and fine selection of delicious restaurants, our local brewery and even our very own distillery 5 minutes away! Back at the home, enjoy a state-of-the-art kitchen with top end appliances. The home is fully decorated by award-winning Kenneth Byrd (www.kennethbyrddesign.com/press/) personal showcase! Three bedrooms are on the ground floor 3 boasting super comfortable queen sized mattresses and our kids room with a twin to full bunk bed set and a double twin trundle day bed set. On the third floor you’ll find two master suites, one with a king bed and one with a queen! Leave the kids downstairs and enjoy the privacy up on the crow's nest and pour yourself a drink! Communication was good, quick and easy. There were some things that needed to be addressed and I have spoken to the owner. All is good with that. We would stay again!

We had such an amazing stay, and a gorgeous home! Everything worked out so well, especially having a short walk to the c pier! The housekeeper was awesome too!
Loved the master suite, the upstairs living room, the huge bathroom and the sun deck. We had everything we needed and made use of the little things there for everyone — beach chairs etc.
The home owner was wonderful to work with and communication was smooth.
Our parents, brothers and their wives, and three kids had the space we needed and everyone was comfortable!
We will never forget this experience and the hospitality! One of the most gorgeous homes I’ve ever stayed in.

House is beautifully decorated. Very close to the beach - public access is just five houses down. Beach area was so quiet and private, we never had company. We rented bikes and a kayak from Poseidon, highly recommend - they are awesome. Did not use the canoe that came with the house since it was buried in the backyard.
The porch is awesome, has a lovely swing and looks out to the water. There are also a few rocking chairs that make it a great place to hang out!
House comes with all linens including beach towels plus most bathrooms had hand soaps and shampoo/conditioner which was awesome!!!
The kitchen has a lot in it but there were some basics missing. We messaged the host and the next day his cleaning lady dropped everything off. That would have been fantastic if she hadn’t delivered it with rudeness and a major attitude. Hopefully that is addressed before the next guests stay!
There are no laundry baskets, BYO if you plan to do laundry.
There are a bunch of beach chairs, sand toys, and balls. We brought most of our own but knowing what’s there I would have packed less!

My family and I traveled to Cape Charles over the Fourth of July and had a really great stay! The location of the property is awesome - the gated neighborhood is pretty quiet and great for walking or running in the mornings. It's a short golf cart drive away from the public access beach. The house is lovely! Very much like the pictures show. There are some areas and some furniture that are showing some wear, but all in all, it's a really good layout and an impressive home!
The beds and linens are SO COMFY, and the sheets and towels were very clean!
My only wish is that there was more hand soaps in the bathrooms when we arrived, though this wasn't something we brought up to the owner because we ended up just grabbing some at the local grocery store. Some did get dropped off inside the home on our second day, though we found it a little odd the owner/property manager didn't let us know someone was stopping by.
All in all, it was an awesome stay at this house, and we want to thank the owner so much for letting us use their home for a much-needed family getaway! I definitely recommend the property for the location, layout, and cleanliness/comfort of the bedrooms!

The house has a nice layout, and is equipped with modern amenities. Location is very near the water with some views. It was a bonus to have beach chairs (in great shape!) and beach towels included.

The location and house size was perfect. There were 12 of us and plenty of space for us to spread out. Our only complaint was the house is definitely worn out and lacks pots and pans for cooking and does not have enough seating for all of us to eat at the same time. We too have a VRBO and have made sure our kitchen is full stocked and equipped for our guests and have ample seating for the amount of guests we allow. Both of these are easy fixes. We still had a wonderful time.

We had siblings, spouses, children, friends, and grandchildren stay for a long weekend. Everyone had their privacy, as well as common space to socialize. Convenient to historic district. Loved the views and quiet strolls! A great property!!

Property was perfect for a a large group with children. Definitely get a golf cart - it made it so easy and fun to explore this adorable town. Private beach is nice but the public beach is super close, bigger and is better if the tide is out.
I asked the owner a question about finding the beach towels (I couldn't) and he had 12 shipped to the house 24 hours later. Excellent communication and service. Will definitely book again if we go back to Cape Charles.

The house was beautiful. Perfect for our family. The area was fun. We rented golf carts to get around everyone one loved using them. The town was easy to navigate. There was always easy parking the beaches were great for kids!

Vacation bliss
Cesar was easy to work with, the house was great. We rented golf carts to get to the pool and into town. Would definitely stay here again, lots of room to accommodate 11.
The extra fridge was a welcome addition for beverages and leftovers.

Family vacation house
This house worked great for our extended family vacation. We had seven adults and seven kids (seven and under) with adequate sleeping for all. The front deck with a swing allowed for evening socializing for the adults. The bunk room allowed most of the kids to room together comfortably. Almost all the rooms had smart TV’s allowing for entertainment for different age groups. The second refrigerator in the garage was a plus.
Golf carts are the common means of transportation in the area. You need to book your golf cart reservation very early (10-12 months) if you are going in the summer months. We were able to get a last minute cart rental through the marina (Sunset by the Bay golf carts). The community pool is a solid 10+ minute golf cart ride away in the other part of the community. It was not crowded at the end of June and early July. There are two private beaches you have access to (short walk or 15+ minute golf cart ride), but we preferred the public beach in town which was about 5 minutes away in the golf cart. Overall great experience with a wonderful host.

Great for large group
The space in this house is hard to beat in Cape Charles. We had five couples/families together and each had their own bathroom. There are two living rooms were great. I agree with other reviewers that the home is beginning to show some wear from heavy rental use (for example, the dishwasher was a little wonky, there were only two wine glasses, wear on furniture and floors). But if you have a large group coming to Cape Charles, I wouldn't hesitate to book this home.

Family attending destination wedding.
Cesar’s home was in the perfect location for a family wedding at the Oyster Farm. We had four groups coming in from CLeveland,, OH, Raleigh, NC , Baltimore, MD, and Honolulu, HI. We all met up at Cesar’s place and had a wonderful time reconnecting for a week, culminating in a family wedding. The Bay Creek HOA resources were a fabulous bonus! Private beaches and a great pool. We rented golf carts too. Fun but unnecessary.

It worked out for what we needed
For the price the house was a little beat up and the guests before us left disgusting garbage we had to smell the whole week we were there. But all and all the home was very comfortable and stocked with necessities. We had a full house and everyone had a place to sleep. Neighbors were delightful. Great quiet street and the town was fun to visit. We never found the pool we could use. Owner was easy to reach, understandably busy but handled things when needed. We felt a little unorganized arriving but it worked out. Thanks!

We had a wonderful week! This house is right across from the beach and the water was perfect for floating and relaxing. We had fun renting the golf carts and driving into town, the brewery, and driving the carts to the pool. My sons and husband took a fishing charter and caught several fish. The house was also perfect for my elderly mother and uncle. A great family vacation!

This was our first visit to Cape Charles and this beautiful home. The home was a beautiful as shown in the pictures. The location is great because it is the less developed section of Marina Villages and is at the end of the cul-de-sac. Everyone we met in the community were friendly and helpful. Cesar provided the basics and beyond (linens, towels, paper products, soap, shampoo, detergents, etc.) which was really nice. The lay out of the house allowed each "family" to have their own level. I was surprised Cesar didn't have a "welcome binder" which would have included helpful info. such as things to do/restaurant info (including his favorites), location of food stores, garbage/recycling instructions, etc. As for the town, we found several great restaurants, cute shops, and other fun things to do. The private beach had a lot of seaweed and debris so a lot of us didn't swim. The public beach in town looked cleaner, but we only saw it from the pier. We were very fortunate that we were able to rent 2 golf carts for the week since this is something that usually has to be done in advance. We went to Bay Creek one day to use the pool and were pleasantly surprised that there weren't many people there. We would definitely recommend Cape Charles if you are looking for a relaxing, laid back beach vacation and staying at this beautiful home!

The house is everything it says in the description. Cesar (the owner) was quick to respond to any questions. He even went out and bought a coffee maker when we asked if there was one somewhere vs the keurig. He just left it on front steps. That was above and beyond. The beach in the development was not really “beachy” but the public beach was a short drive away and clean and great for the kids age 5-9. They could walk out forever. There is s restaurant right at the end of the street. My kids ate there said the food was good. My grandkids had their bikes and since the house is in a cul de sac they could ride them safely. The pool you can use is about a 7-8 min drive in another development. It was clean and mostly empty with nice bathrooms. Just don’t forget anything. There is a Food Lion (grocery store) that was about 8 min drive had everything you could need. Fun shops and restaurants in the historic district again 3-4 min drive. If you want to rent a golf cart which is the way to get around there you need to make those reservations when you book the house. They told use they are booked though January. We rented a pontoon boat from a place a few minutes away and spent a couple hours out on the bay.
