So well done. Visually, so many lovely things to see, the house inside and out is so very historic and beautiful. The hosts have everything organized, neat, clean, and fixed so that you can have a relaxing time. It was so quiet, we relaxed right away, listening to the walnuts drop off the trees in the back. That back porch is perfect. Hosts helped a lot with our questions, and it was very memorable and maybe my favorite of any rentals we've had.

This is a wonderful property! Good location and great hosts! Secluded, but not too far from many beautiful parks and waterfalls. Most within about a 60 minute drive. We really enjoyed the large yard with fire pit …perfect for the cool Fall evenings! Our Dalmatian Winston loved being able to run and play with his ball and frisbee. Cabin is small, but offers great spaces in both the main and upper levels. Loved having 2 bathrooms! Thank you Jennifer and Mark for taking such good care of us during our visit!

We were looking for an experience type stay and this home and property far exceeded our expectations. The first 15 minutes we took turns oohing and awing over the meticulously manicured lawn, the cabin - both inside and out, the furnishings, and the thoughtfulness of the host to even include delicious local baked goods. We wanted for absolutely nothing. When I say the host truly thought of everything, I mean it. There were even mason jars for kids to catch lightning bugs, aka, fireflies. That’s next level attention to detail. We are in our 50’s and 60’s and had no trouble navigating the steep staircase to the bedroom, but if you experience knee or hip ailments, you may want to use the sofa bed on the first level. Our adult son used and slept well both nights. If you have the opportunity to stay at this cabin you will not regret it! I mean, where else can you stay in a 5-star 1800’s log cabin?

While the cabin is old, the inside is very modern. In fact, this is one of the most up-to-date cabins I have rented. I was very impressed with how clean it was. Outdoor space is great and the lake access is easy (best for kayaks). Top of my list! P.S. Check for ticks in season.

This was an amazing cabin . Had everything you need and then some. Not far from the water but still secluded. We will definitely be staying in the future. Highly recommend staying in this real 1800s log cabin.
