About this condo rental
Cute 3 bedroom/2.5 bathroom condominium in the Spring Lake Club. Beautiful place to visit all year round. The unit was decorated by my mom with antiques, wallpapers, homey and religious decor. Located just 2 minutes from the bay of Lake Michigan in a secluded and quiet complex, yet close to everything you will need or want: D&W Grocery~2 min drive; downtown Petoskey~6 min drive; downtown Harbor Springs~8 min; Petoskey State Park~5 min; Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands closeby for skiing; bike trails around the corner from the condo. *Kayaks and bikes available in the garage for your use and enjoyment. *Pool and hot tub available for your use just steps from the condo in the clubhouse (shared within the complex). First floor includes full kitchen, stocked with dishes, pots, pans, silverware, etc. Dining room and comfortable living area with gas fireplace and 32” TV with a Roku with all the popular streaming apps (be prepared to use your own login), a Smart DVD player, and many DVDs. PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT HAVE CABLE TV. Also on first floor is the master bedroom with attached full bathroom with walk-in shower. Extra half bath, washer, and dryer are also located on first floor. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a full bathroom with bathtub & shower. One bedroom has a queen bed, with 2 twin beds in attached alcove. Other upstairs bedroom has 2 twin beds with a third twin bed in attached alcove. There is a wooden deck in the back, off of the dining room, with a small grill and chairs so you can relax enjoy the fresh Northern Michigan air without even leaving the property. There is a view of Spring Lake from the deck, and a short path takes you down to the shore with picnic table and a small fire pit area. Our place is a cozy space to relax anytime of the year, in one of the most beautiful locations in the state! We hope you love it as much as we do. Please note: dogs are not allowed for renters staying less than 14 days. However, sometimes our family dogs stay at the condo. The condo is cleaned before each stay but may not be suitable for those with severe allergies.

The location is excellent! Secluded but minutes from restaurants, groceries, drug store and Petoskey. Hot tub and pool were wonderful after a day of skiing. Owner was great to work with. Kitchen is well equipped. While the online description was accurate (decor and furnishings are a bit dated), we weren’t expecting the amount of owners personal items to be in the condo-master bedroom closet was off-limits so we had to live out of a suitcase, drawers in master bath were all full so we had to create space for our items, plus lots of their leftover food (or previous renters) in the fridge and cupboards. If you are okay with this, again the location, amenities and condo complex are top notch.

The perfect place for our family plus my brother and sister-in-law to stay while skiing the Boyne area resorts. Cozy, with all the amenities you need to cook your own meals, but also close to downtown Petoskey if you want someone else to cook. Fifteen minutes to Nubs/Highlands, thirty minutes to Boyne Mountain. Would definitely stay here again!

Very spacious condo that immediately felt comfortable. I booked for 5, but one had to stay home to work - we easily could have fit more in! Kitchen was big and well-stocked, laundry was a plus, view of the water was very nice from dining room table. Quiet community that was very close to many destinations.

This place is neat everything but simultaneously tucked away at the same time. Tom is a great host. Responsive, accommodating and very nice. I booked this last minute and it had a nice amount of space, and is in a quiet and safe neighborhood with a great little trail attached to the back and around it. Thanks so much for having me Tom!

This place is just as advertised. It is charming and homey just like grandma’s always is. Lots of space, comfortable living area to hang out and everything you need to make meals in the kitchen. The pool and hot tub were amazing after a day on the slopes and was just a short walk from the condo.

We rented this property to stay at while skiing at Nubs knob. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!! Everything was clean and comfortable!! We had great communication with Tom and had no problems during our vacation. We also enjoyed the hot tub and pool a couple of times. Thank you for opening your home to us. We will definitely choose your property to stay at in the future!!

My husband, our two children (8 and 10), our niece (16), and I had a wonderful stay at this condo. We skied nearby Nubs Nob and The Highlands and loved coming back to the condo to relax each night. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was extremely well stocked, and we had a lot of fun eating and playing games around the kitchen table! Dinner out at the nearby Vernales was spectacular and we had room in the fridge for our leftovers! We felt right at home in this condo!

Mom's condo was a perfect spot for us. Location was ideal- it's right on bike paths, easy to get to local shopping/recreation and Petoskey State Park (my favorite beach), and perfect for us to visit family in Bay View.
We all slept well, enjoyed swimming in the pool, conviently kept up with our laundry from beach/pool and everyday wear, enjoyed cooking breakfast in the kitchen (which we then enjoyed eating on the back patio), and we were comfortable in the quiet neighborhood. It genuinely felt like staying at grandma's place. Also appreciated having wifi available and being able to access our Netflix/Disney+/etc. accounts on the TV (in between adventures).
Overall- a comfortable and relaxing retreat, conveniently located and especially affordable for the area. We'd definitely stay here again. Thank you!

We had a great stay in Petoskey! Mom’s Condo is located right across the street from the State Park which made swimming in Lake Michigan a daily option for us. This made my eight year old’s week!
The condo had a well-stocked kitchen with a dining table that seats six. We enjoyed the deck and the use of the bikes.
All in all, a great place home-base for our Petoskey adventures!

Ski weekend
Loved the location to Boyne Highlands which was only a 12 min drive up from the house. House is very comfortable with all the necessities! Fully stocked kitchen including spices, great laundry room with detergent, beach towels to take to the indoor pool, & good location to grocery stores! Enjoyed the comfortable beds and all the DVDs to watch in the evening after a big day of skiing. Love that 2 of the bedrooms have a cute tandem bedroom with twin beds too! The house is lovely and we are already thinking about our next ski vacation weekend at this property.

Convenient, quiet, just as advertised.
Overall, the property was as advertised. We appreciated the location and the quiet setting. The owner was extremely accommodating when our original plans fell apart and we needed to make changes to the schedule.
While other reviewers commented on the decor, we didn't really have an issue with it. It was exactly as described - "Mom's condo." I don't choose my vacation rentals based on the
decorating. The only downside we found was that there were no lamps of sufficient height or wattage to make for easy reading or knitting at night. A couple of floor lamps would have made a huge difference.
Overall, the condo was clean. I thought the kitchen could have stood a little bit of deep cleaning. The dish drainer was in need of cleaning, as was the seal around the refrigerator doors. The sink protector in need of cleaning or replacing.
Overall, we would consider staying again. It was a good week. I especially enjoyed the pool for working my PT as I was recovering from knee surgery. And I did manage to get some reading & knitting done. :-)

As some other reviews stated the decor and appliances are a bit dated. You might want to bring your own bath towels, the ones provided were pretty bad. The backyard landscaping was beautiful.

Would rent again
Location fit our needs perfectly and we had a pleasant stay. You might say the place was dated but we found it suited our needs just fine and we enjoyed the deck. It helps to have good weather. Owner was very helpful and promptly responded to all our questions.

Relaxing stay Up North
Condo was exactly as described! Well-equipped, and in a very nice and quiet condo complex. Can’t say enough about the excellent location! Right across from Petoskey State Park with its large, sandy beach. Close to Petoskey, Harbor Springs and Bay View. Easy access to Little Traverse Wheelway.
We stayed a week and it met all our needs.

The condo was dirty, certainly not covid clean as advertised. the kitchen cabinets were dirty with old food. there were pubic hairs on the bathrooms floor. There was mouse feces on the carpet. WE decided to just clean it. However on day 6 there was a horrific spell that permeated the condo . The owner asked us to explore under the crawlspace, we declined due to liability. the maintenance man came and could not find a dead animal but confirmed to the condo owner the horrific spell. The condo owner asked us to move out all appliances and move the furniture to look for the dead animal which we did but could not find. We had to move out of the condo because of the smell & potential contamination from whatever the spell was coming from. In addition to these issues, the fire marshal would close this place down with the hot water heater being in a room where there are beds and there was no egress from these rooms. An absolute violation for fire safety regulations. I could continue about there was no access to closet space for the master bedroom, it was marked as private. the hallway closet was full of personal effects. we had to take our close to the upstairs closet. it was advertised as mom's condo. No mother has this kind of filth were they live. It was advertised as 8 but only 6 could have stayed in the non agrees rooms. we have reached out to both the owner and vrbo just to get the days we did not stay, there has been no response. the response is that we are unreasonable. we were left without a place to stay and neither VRBO or Tom Banks feels they have any responsibility in this. I will never use VRBO again. We are our money for the nights we did not stay there with no resolution. We will never use VRBO again. we are working with our credit card company for refund since VRBO & Tom Banks have been unresponsive.

The owners are fantastic. Super easy to communicate with and very helpful. We loved our stay. The pool/ hot tub and bikes were a definite bonus. We felt right at home. We loved it !

Overall impression was very good. Decor is a bit older, as shown in listing. Owner is responsive and good to work with, house is fully stocked (linens, consumables, etc.). More spacious than appears in the listing. Comfortable and close to local points of interest. Would stay here again!

Loved our stay! Great locational ski hill & very clean nice pool! Kitchen was well stocked
Loved the bedroom set up for our kids! Single/twin beds were a great option! Wonderful condiments in kitchen and additional spices was a huge plus! Cozy house with a great indoor pool and hot tub! Washer and dryer were another huge plus to wash our ski gear. Nice location to town and grocery shopping! Owner was wonderful with hiking suggestions and helped us with finding the pool key. We look forward to returning!

2020 Christmas Break ski stay
Good location about 10 minutes to Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands. The newer looking large indoor Pool and hot tub area was great for the whole family that was close to the condo and well maintained. Condo had 7 total beds. This is a great spot for families that spend most of their time outdoors and at the pool /hot tub. Wouldn’t recommend for groups with little kids as there are lots of furnishings that they could grab, knock over, etc. No cable or antenna TV, so viewing is limited to streaming or blue ray. Didn’t care as we were active and not sitting very much. Great value and great location.

The condo has two levels with beds upstairs and own bath. Decor is definitely mom~ish and cozy. Great view of back deck and conveniently located near downtown petoskey.
