We had a great stay with beautiful views over the water and the best beach (Blenheim) within walking distance. We loved the views from every room, the layout and the location, as well as the seaside theme. Beds were comfortable and there is a great distribution of sitting areas. However, there were a few things that did not meet expectations. The back deck caused both my grand-daughter and my mother in law to trip on one of the raised wooden planks, where the nails have come undone. The shower over the bath leaks down the wall and onto the floor, which caused several spare toilet rolls to get soaked and time spent wiping the floor. None of the bedrooms have appropriate light blocking, and there is a weird architecture that means any bedroom with a light on, can be seen by every other bedroom. The hot water pressure is very poor. There is a lack of equipment in the kitchen - and so many empty cupboards that could have stored the required utensils. Also needs more cutlery, as we ran out before the dishwasher was full. The fridge is very small and the kitchen cupboards lacked the soft close, so made a loud noise, if we did not remember to hold onto the door to close it. The bathrooms and kitchen are quite outdated. The high chair was easy to locate, but the cot was hidden under shelves in the wardrobe of the main bedroom, and I am so glad my son brought his own, because we only found it on our second last day - same with the vacuum cleaner, which was hidden in a cupboard that looked locked, similar to many of the other cupboard doors. When informing the host of the above issues, they have said that they will do a full maintenance check this week and that the owner has scheduled full bathroom renovation for winter 2023.

Seaglass is a lovely house with beautiful views, close to the beach and bushwalks. Definitely recommend. We would love to stay again.
