About this house rental
Nestled in Surf City, this attractive house for £256 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Welcome to Dockside Dreamin'! This house has everything you need and more to allow you and your loved ones to experience many conveniences, fabulous sunset views, a cozy vibe, unlimited fun, and lasting memories! Upon arrival, you'll enter via a unique door code, enter a foyer area with storage space under the stairs. The main living areas are upstairs on the next two levels. The house has recently been renovated and boasts an open floor plan on the main level with a new kitchen and new stainless steel appliances, dining area with a table for eight, bookcase with books for all ages, and a living room with a 55 inch smart TV above the fireplace. At this time, the fireplace is for decorative purposes only. The kitchen has plenty of space and is well-equipped with just about anything you might need to create meals during your stay...pots/pans, a steamer pot, a griddle, a blender, a toaster, a coffee maker (traditional 12-cup and single K-cups), a mixer, baking pans, casserole dishes, wine glasses, spices, measuring cups, serving dishes, and a large variety of utensils. The kitchen island provides seating for four. The deck off of the living room overlooks the yard, dock, and gorgeous water views. There is a teak table on the deck that expands to seat 6 people, patio lighting set to an adjustable timer, and outdoor stairs that lead to the grassy fenced and gated yard. Back inside, on the same level, you will find two bedrooms. One bedroom has two sets of bunk beds (a twin over twin and a twin over full), a large dresser, and a smart TV. The guest bedroom has a queen size bed, dresser, small telephone table/single desk, en suite bathroom with a tub and shower, a smart TV, and water views. There is a shared, full bathroom with a tub and shower in the hallway between the two bedrooms on this level. Head upstairs to see the breathtaking sunsets from the comfortable bonus room. This cozy space offers a 65 inch smart TV, a desk/workspace, games/puzzles/cards for all to enjoy, and two sofas (one is a sleeper sofa with a new mattress). The deck off the bonus room is the perfect place to soak up the beauty of the inter-coastal waterway! There is a teak wooden chaise lounge chair and small table and two tall, weatherproof chairs on the deck. Off of the bonus room is a laundry room with a large capacity Samsung washer and dryer as well as an iron and ironing board. Finishing off that level is a spacious primary bedroom with a king-size bed with new 14-inch hybrid mattress with cool gel pillow top. You will enjoy stunning water views, a 43 inch smart TV, dresser, and beautiful primary bathroom with dual vanity, glass enclosed, tiled shower with river-rock floor. Outside you will find a wicker bin with sand toys, a Razor scooter, a skim board, a beach cart, a beach umbrella, a charcoal grill, two aluminum cruiser bikes, two adult kayaks and two children's kayaks, life jackets for children and adults, a fenced yard, a wooden walkway, a large grassy area, and a new, private dock with a gate, a fish cleaning table, a bench, and a floating dock for kayaking, fishing, crabbing, and boating. We also provide a large rolling cooler. The house is an easy 3-4 minute walk to the beach. This area of the beach is typically not crowded as there is not public parking areas nearby. The subdivision offers a wash area/shower at the entrance as well as a bike rack. The wireless internet connection is very strong and reliable. Cable streaming is offered on all five smart tvs. Your little ones will be well-accommodated too...the property has a pack-n-play, portable highchair, gate, baby monitor, and toys. Your furry family members are welcome too! We permit up to two well-behaved dogs (we will accept three on a case by case basis & with an additional fee). The pet fee must be paid PRIOR to your stay and all pets must be listed on the rental agreement. Guests who bring a pet without prior authorization and payment will be charged $250.

House was even nicer than advertised. Lots of bright natural light coming into the house with beautiful sunset views over the sound off the back porches. Porch furniture was very comfortable with a nice table & chairs on the lower deck and two tall Adirondack chairs on the upper deck. We didn't experience any bugs during our time on the deck in July.
Kitchen was well stocked for our needs and k-cup coffee maker worked great. We had takeout a few nights and bought a Topsail Steamer bucket one night and was able to cook/eat without any issues.
House was very clean with zero trace of dogs visiting with other guests. Gravel driveway was large and easily fit our 3 vehicles (& would have fit more if needed). Neighborhood was a nice getaway where you couldn't hear any of the main road traffic...yet it was still just a 5 minute walk to the beach (directly opposite the neighborhood entrance).
Owner was responsive to our questions during both the booking process and leading up to and through our vacation week.

This was our first trip to Surf City and we will definitely return. We loved staying at Dockside Dreamin! The house was very clean and nicely updated. The location was great. It is in a quiet neighborhood that has a wooded path leading to the beach. The intercoastsl views off the two decks of the house were incredible. Great for enjoying our morning coffee and cocktails at sunset!

We were a group of 5 adults and 2 dogs, and this house far exceeded our needs and expectations. The pictures perfectly depict what you get! Everything was great, from the small fenced in area (so convenient for the pups), kitchenware, incredible views, location, etc. Communication with Bridget was easy and prompt. We had an issue using the oven/stove so unfortunately, we weren't able to use it the way we wanted to - but Bridget did her best to try to resolve the issue and was sincerely apologetic. Main floor showers didn't drain well, but I'm sure they will fix that for the next guests. All in all, this was absolutely a 5* getaway and a wonderful way to ring in my 40th birthday with my husband, sisters, friend and furbabes. Hoping to make it back soon - thank you so much for having us!

Scott & Bridget are fantastic hosts! This house is in a quiet, tree-filled neighborhood on Topsail Island with a gorgeous view of the Intercoastal Waterway and a short walk to the beach. It was very clean and well-equipped, and truly felt like a home away from home. Scott & Bridget were friendly and easy to communicate with before and during our stay. We very much look forward to returning! This was our first time using VRBO and they certainly have set the bar high!

Great time at this Surf City Sound Side House!
We spent a week around Memorial Day with my in-laws, my 14 year-old and 2 of his friends. The place is very spacious and we made great use of the 2 living rooms. Downstairs was the adult oasis while upstairs was used as the gaming space. There was plenty of kitchen utensils and the place was very clean and furniture comfy. We also really liked the enclosed grassy area for our pup. The views over the sound were glorious and the walk the beach was easy. We also loved how convenient this place was to downtown Surf City for groceries, restaurants, and shops. We'd stay here again.

Great house in a private neighborhood
Perfect 2 week stay. Short walk to beach. Our own dock for crabbing and fishing. The house was perfect for us: young family with 2 grandchildren on main floor and grandparents upstairs with master bedroom and separate den. Kitchen provided all we needed and multiple decks gave us amazing sunset views.

We loved our stay in Surf City! We were four adults, five kids, and two pups and we all had ample room to hang comfortably! House was as described, clean, well equipped, and in the perfect location for our crew. We paddle boarded from the property and played yard games in the backyard. We would definitely come back!

Dreamy week
Dockside Dreaming was the perfect spot for our family to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. The sound views were spectacular from the decks and the walk to the beach was short and pleasant. The beach was not very crowded since there is no public access parking close by. The house was well-equipped and we loved having the crab pots and kayaks and bikes to use. We hope to come back one day!

Great house for laid-back beach trips
It was so easy to walk from the house to the beach, with the beach cart provided. The house was gorgeous. With it being on the sound side, away from the main beach traffic, it was a great place to just relax. Would definitely come back.

Solitude on Topsail Island
We loved this house! It is situated on a cove off the intracoastal waterway and it was peaceful and very private. We prefer the intracoastal side because of the solitude and the fact that the wind isn't constantly buffeting you, which is an important consideration in March. The house was immaculate and well-appointed. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen was there. We liked the fact that we brought our own linens, which is a better deal with you're a party of two. The beach was a short walk away, as promised. We used the kayaks and went out for a short paddle. You can peacefully paddle through the marshes, avoiding the traffic of the intracoastal. Overall, A++. We hope to be back soon.

Very nice and updated property. Nice private community off the busy road yet close to the Beach. Liked the open space and views, mix use of antiques throughout the house, and easy to use TV and WIFI. Would recommend and stay again.
