Nestled in South Haven, this attractive house for £266 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Look no further! We have the home for you! Completely remodeled kitchen, laundry and all new siding! New flooring throughout main floor to be installed in early 2023! Are you looking for a cozy, comfortable, private home with a large spacious and private yard? This is it! Walk to town! 3 bed 2 bath fully furnished! Sleeps 10! Downtown South Haven is a very pleasant, easy 9 min walk away! The beach is a 15 minute leisurely walk away or a quick one mile drive to beautiful South Beach. Check out the amazing sunsets, beautiful sand, kids play parks and greenspace! South Haven's famous Kids Corner park is a 15 minute walk from our house or a quick drive! This house is newer to the rental market, but we are not! We have another home in South Haven we have rented on VRBO for six years with a 4.9 star rating! (VRBO # 1021803). We are looking forward to hosting you and making your vacation as memorable as possible! Our family has been vacationing in South Haven for several decades. We fell in love with this home and purchased it in 2020. The location is on a quiet street close to downtown South Haven. Only six blocks away! This house predates 1880 and is one of the most historic homes in South Haven! Homes are not made like this anymore and we've done our best to preserve the character. However, we've made numerous updates including a new kitchen (countertops, kitchen, new oven/stove, new kitchen flooring), brand new washer/dryer, new patio installed in 2021 and all new siding completed in 2022! We are replacing all the carpet on the first floor with flooring in early 2023! This home is situated on a large corner lot within a quiet family friendly neighborhood and plenty of privacy. The yard is very spacious with so much greenery and areas to relax alone or with others. Enjoy the outdoors with friends and family at the home's fire pit, grill on the patio (grill and propane provided), enjoy the yard, or take a walk to downtown and enjoy what South Haven has to offer - shopping, restaurants, boating, cycling, kayaking, and more. Walking to the beach to enjoy the sunset is only 10 blocks away. Looking at all the homes along the walk is so enjoyable for our family since you'll never find two homes that look similar. Consider walking to the Kids Corner park where you can view the lake while enjoying the green space for picnics or games. Our home is furnished with a fully stocked kitchen (since we think this is so important!), smart TVs, high speed internet, bedding, bath towels, firewood, gas grill, grilling tools, books, and more. The home is 1,600 square feet, with two stories and can sleep up to 10 people. The three bedrooms are set up as follows: Bedroom 1 (main level): 1 queen bed in the master bedroom on the first floor Bedroom 2 (upstairs): 1 queen bed Bedroom 3 (upstairs): 1 queen bed, a set of bunk beds, a trundle bed and a day bed (this is a large bedroom!) Full Bath 1: main level Full Bath 2: upstairs Family Room Living Room Dining Room Private enclosed porch with seating for 4-6 people. The spacious master bedroom and a full bath on the main level are very convenient for those that don't want to do stairs. The main level also includes a spacious family room for gatherings, a quaint living room with plenty of light and charm, an enclosed patio with chairs and a table for card games, board games, enjoying the view and spending some peaceful quality time together. The kitchen has a sliding glass door that opens to the patio and side yard! The dining room includes a table for six with four additional dining chairs and a table in the adjacent patio room. The kitchen includes all that you need for your getaway with two fridges and freezers, an oven, gas range, microwave, Keurig, 12 cup coffee maker, dishwasher, garbage disposal, pots and pans, utensils, flatware, durable dishes, glasses, ice trays, etc. Please check out our pictures and a map. The weekend started out promising when I messaged the owners about having 3 dogs stay, even tho the listing said 2 dogs max. A very prompt & friendly response approved our 3rd dog & I quickly built a friendly rapport with the owner thru a few messages.
We needed emergency care for one of our dogs while visiting. Because we do not know anyone in the area, I messaged the owner, since we had that rapport, asking a few questions about emergency vet services. This was beyond the scope of what she should need to respond to, but I knew from the tone of her messages, she wanted us to enjoy ourselves while there & not have to deal with extra hassles. Again, her responses were prompt & useful.
As for the cottage, it is very cute inside & it felt like they thought of everything to make guests comfortable. I didn't discover the small flashlights in a basket in the kitchen until the 2nd day. Spices, basic cooking oils, pots & pans, plus a gas grill on the patio all made for an easy stay.
I saw some comments about the sofas in the TV room. I was not able to sit on them, but I need seating with good support. My husband had no issue with the sofas. I enjoyed the room by the backdoor, which had a comfortable seating area.
The yard - we weren't sure from the pictures if it would be fenced in or not (for the dogs). It is not.
We weren't crazy about the neighborhood, but it is very close to downtown.
All in all, I felt we were in good hands & if we needed anything, extremely responsive.

House was cute, clean and plenty of room. Yard was a little overgrown but functional. Good location, close to downtown. Only issue was strong air freshener that I think may have been scented AC filter. But overall nice place and would stay again!

Lots to like about this property as it's in a quiet neighborhood with privacy. We spent a lot of time working on a challenging puzzle, visiting local attractions and watching movies together - just relaxing and enjoying a much needed break. House is nicely updated and kitchen with 2 refrigerators was appreciated. Our 3 boys enjoyed the 2nd floor with their own TV. We walked to town and drove to the beach (with gear we found driving easier for beach). Couches in the main living room were the only negative - these were a little less supportive then we prefer. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and time together in South Haven!!

We enjoyed our vacation in South Haven. The home was very charming and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. It is also conveniently located near the beach, shops, and restaurants. We loved going to the farmer’s market and checking out the shops and restaurants.

Our family of 4 loved the layout of the house. Nice yard with firepit. Convenient location. The property manager was very responsive. We didn't see a toaster in the house so we texted her to ask about it and soon went grocery shopping to Meijer, and by the time we returned, there were both a toaster and a toaster oven that had been dropped off! We'd stay there again.

We really enjoyed our time at this charming cottage. We have stayed at Vita's properties in the past and she never disappoints! The house was stocked well and very comfortable. We especially loved the outdoor area. Plenty of room for dining and grilling as well as a great outside area to hang out and roast marshmallows over the fire pit (wood included!!)

Lots of room in this house, enabling the family to spread out. The kids enjoyed the television in their room. The kitchen was well stocked. Although the gas grill was not used, the property manager stopped to be sure the tanks were full. Lots of outdoor space for this wanting to sit outside.

Everything was as described. Comfortable, close to beach, all the necessities you need.
The only thing we would have changed would be to make it cooler in the upstairs bedrooms, but the fans helped!

Cute house
House was nice and we especially enjoyed having the two living spaces. We brought our dog; however, we did not realize the property was no fully fenced so that was a little disappointing. The carpets could use a good cleaning as well.

We were impressed with this house, it is very well kept and clean. On top of all that, the location is great, it is walkable to the downtown area and beaches which is a huge bonus. We would definitely stay here again! Also, for larger groups, there are two refrigerators which is nice and convenient!

Wonderful week in Soha
We loved our stay in South Haven. The Corner Cottage was perfect for my family of 5, plus our small dog. It’s located in a quiet, quaint neighborhood close to the east side of downtown. A short 10 minute walk to Julia’s and the farmers market. The house has everything you need for the week. The property is very clean and large, with a beautiful garden and fire pit, patio with bar b q and plenty of seating for10. We loved the games, cards and many books. Two refrigerators and very large brand new washer and dryer. Towels, utensils and kitchen were very well stocked. We will definitely be back.

Perfect Family Rental
The current pictures did not do this property justice. It was obvious that the owners have gone above and beyond to create a wonderful family vacation spot. The house is bright and light. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook and grill several meals for 6 of us. We used the fire pit every night as well as the outdoor patio table. Thank you for helping make our family weekend so memorable!

Great Rental
This is a great rental house. It was such a great place to stay for a few days. We have been to South Haven many times before and this was in a location away from the hustle and bustle but with very close access to the beach and into town. The house would be great for families or multiple couples. There are multiple places to hang out inside or outside if you want to spend time together or separate. We reached out to our host prior to our visit and they responded very quickly and were very accommodating.
