About this campground/ rv resort rental
Perfect for couples looking for a romantic get-a-way or a small family. This 2 bedroom has the ability to sleep up to 6 - utilizing a fold out couch. 550 sq. ft. heated, air-conditioned with a deck, Large Gas Grill overlooking the lake, with plenty of grilling utensils makes cooking-out the ideal choice. Sleeping arrangements include 2 pillow top Queen Beds & sleeper sofa in the living room. Linens and towels are provided as well as. In the bathroom you’ll even find a hair dryer. Indoor kitchen has stove, refrigerator, pots and pans. Flat screen tv's in living area and both bedrooms. Satellite TV in living area and both bedrooms DVD, WiFi, Pet Friendly. Gorgeous views of the lake, river and mountain range. Pet Friendly: one small well-behaved, housebroken dog without fleas or ticks is welcome; clean up after your pet outside; dog must be leashed when outside and crated if left unattended in the rental- reach out if you are desiring to add an additional small dog. There is a non-refundable pet fee for one dog. No other pets are permitted. Lakeside is a newer factory made cottage with log siding. You can't stay any closer to the water. Stay just steps from the water. Sits right on the shore line of Watauga Lake with Boat Slip and Canoe - ideal for those who plan on making their vacation all about the water and mountain views. We are close to Beech Mountain (about 17 miles) ski slope to enjoy during the Winter months and Boone, NC (22 miles).

Staying on the lake was great. The fire pit was nice on the cool evenings. My friend and I didn’t spend a lot of time at the house because we had friends in another house up the mountain. However the time we did spend was very good. The views outside are the best part. It is exactly as advertised. I had another friend ask for the information about the house because he wants to go back up and stay there. Needless to say that speaks volumes. I will stay again if the need arises. One more thing. I had a question about something and emailed the managing agency very late one night and I had a reply shortly after. Great customer service!!

We’ve stayed here several times and it never disappoints. This is the place to go if you like swimming in the lake, relaxing on the porch and enjoying beautiful views.

I would fully recommend this as a place to stay when you visit the mountains/lake. We were right on the water. We rented a pontoon from the marina and were able to dock it right outside our place. That was so convenient. The deck was a great place to watch the sunset. This location had everything that we needed for our cooking needs. It was very clean. It was so easy to rent, and I was able to make payments. I will definitely use Vrbo again and will stay here if we are in the area again.

Lake was easy to access (not a lot of steps). Quiet and beautiful area. My hubby caught fish, including 2 large flathead catfish...from the pier. The porch looking over the lake was nice for relaxing or eating a meal on the picnic table.

Gorgeous views and super peaceful. We loved sitting on the porch and just watching boats ride by. Unfortunately, it was a bit too windy for canoeing but we still enjoyed our time!

The property was clean but horribly outdated and lacking any comforts. Listing states mobile home, well it felt like we were sleeping in a camper. The grill was broken, so no cooking outside. No board games or activities like the listing boasted. The kitchen isn't stocked with adequate utensils, to be comfortable here you might as well bring everything with you. It felt like a bad camping trip and we will never waste money staying here again.

We enjoyed our relaxing, peaceful get away with a great view of beautiful Watauga Lake. Spent most of our time outside. Deck is awesome and steps from the water :-) Too bad we couldn't say longer!

This was the second time that we have rented this property and we would definitely recommend it to anyone that would like to get away for a week or weekend. Thanks for having us for the weekend we really needed a little rest and relaxation.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness first and foremost. The setting is beautiful and we were able to bring our boat over from Mallard Cove Marina and dock it right there. Jennifer communicated with us and she was very timely and efficient. Our little dog enjoyed hanging on the porch! We hope to stay there again soon!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lakeside Paradise! The cabin was immaculate, nicely furnished--with comfortable beds and an adequately supplied kitchen. The area is completely quiet, the lake is wonderful and the dock is exactly what we needed! The only problem with our trip---it just was not long enough!!

Appalachian trail trip
My 10 year old wanted to hike some of the Appalachian trail this summer, we also have an 8 year old and a 3 year old. We were able to find a few different trail access points appropriate for our family within 45 min drive. The property was perfect to come back to after a day of hiking to canoe and swim. The property manager is easy to get ahold of for any needs. Very happy with our stay. We also took the very pretty drive to mountain city and ate at Captain Jims which had excellent food at great prices, and Subas which was also excellent but a little more expensive (save room for dessert).

Fish springs is the closest ramp to put in, but the places we called to leave our trailer was either not doing that at this time or would not answer the phone. The driveway to the cabin is very slim, one direction and steep, so backing the boat in was alittle tricky but doable. The cabin was fully furnished with everything you needed for a stay other than clothes and food. We will definitely be booking this cabin for a getaway again!!!

Everything was a positive experience renting this cabin.
The Manager Jennifer was very good at communicating, the house keeper Rose had the house clean and ready to enjoy! The beds were so comfortable! Kitchen and bathroom was stocked with plenty of items that were needed. We had a excellent stay! The weather was cold, but we were very cozy inside.
The only thing that could be done, is trim the cypress trees and trees by the road, to let one's pulling out, be able to see on coming traffic coming? But that's the only thing that could possibly be done...Everything else was perfect!

This is our second year at the lake. The Lakeside cabin was comfy and well stocked. The location is perfect for kayaking into the Cherokee National Forest. A peaceful and restful stay away from the hustle and bustle!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were attending a wedding in Butler and found this to be the perfect place to stay - close to the venue and then perfect for a relaxing day afterwards. We enjoyed the canoes and the lake and the fire pit! We were close enough to others who attended the wedding to socialize but also grateful for our space to "chill". Highly recommend staying here!
