About this house rental
Located on the Lower Laguna Madre, Port Mansfield and your new home away from home, is nestled in the middle of some of the most pristine coastal wetlands, native grasslands, marshes, shallow bays, wind tidal flats and barrier islands. Using our 3-bedroom 3 bath home as your base camp experience the “Mother Lagoon”, one of only 6 hypersaline coastal lagoons in the world. The unique Lower Laguna Madre estuary has given us one of the world’s finest inshore fisheries that is known for producing trophy class Speckled Trout as well as Redfish, Flounder, and the occasional Snook. AFTER A LONG DAY OUT ON THE WATER COME HOME AND JUMP IN OUR PRIVATE IN GROUND POOL, OR SKIP THE FISHING FOR A DAY AND GRILL YESTERDAYS CATCH, LOUNGE AROUND THE POOL TELLING THE STORY ABOUT THE ONE THAT DIDN’T GET AWAY. IT’S GOOD TO HAVE CHOICES. Our home sleeps 8 and offers 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The main house has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. The queen size pullout is also located in the main house. The pool house has 1 bedroom and 2 full baths. The main house has a modern kitchen with all the conveniences of home. Each bedroom in the main house has a king size bed, its own 50” smart TV. The separate pool house has a bedroom with a private bath and a queen size bed, a kitchenette and a 75” TV , perfect for family movie night. The ice maker saves trips to the store. Take your choice of four separate outdoor sitting areas for private conversations or just some quiet time. Our home is a 90-minute drive from South Padre Island if you want a day on the beach and a 60-minute drive from the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville. Me, my adult son and my college buddy stayed at this property for a 3-day guided fishing trip out of Port Mansfield. The property was perfect for us. Internet was great, TVs were great, kitchen was well furnished with nice stuff. Appliances, including washer/dryer, HVAC, freezer and BBQ grill were great. Beds were very comfortable which was great after 3 days of wade fishing.
I will definitely look to stay at this property again for our next fishing trip.

Property was perfect. Wife and I really enjoyed the house and pool house, ice machine was a plus, BBQ pit was NICE for cooking our daily catch and steaks, I took plenty of firewood and cooked outside about 6 times. Pool was always clean. A/C worked great. String lights give the place a relaxing feel. Wish it was my place, lol.

We did a Father’s Day trip and this house was everything we needed. From hanging out by the pool or having a game night in the dining room this house was perfect. Everything was clean and organized. Looking forward to staying again in the future!

Beautiful home, Loved the vibe of this home. The pool house was big enough for a 2nd family of 3/4 Very relaxing 😌 a great mini escape to kick back and enjoy in your own private pool or sit back on the patio furniture & watch ur kids enjoy the pool. Everything about this house was a 10/10 the owners where quickly to response they even let us check in a bit earlier than check in time. Will definitely be returning back soon.

Great property, my wife, 18 year old son and his friend spent three nights at property. Guys fished during the day and my wife enjoyed hanging out at the house during the day relaxing by pool and watching TV. Will definitely be back.

This was the perfect spot for a friends hunting/fishing trip. The house was well appointed and very clean. One of the nicest we saw in the Port Mansfield area. Nasario was also great at communicating and making sure we had what we needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. We fished all 3 days, and it was nice to come back to a clean, cool and comfortable lodging...not to mention the cool pool. Everything was super clean, modern, new and what you would expect of a well maintained property. The owners obviously strive to ensure that their renters have the best experience. They communicate well, and make themselves available to contact. I will try to book this place any time I go to Port M.

The property was great, we had 4 guys at the house and it was perfect. The pool side after a long day on the water and in the field hit just right! The pool house had a single room which was nice for the early sleeper.

My wife, adult granddaughter with special needs, 8 year old grandson and I all loved this property. It was awesome having our own pool on hot summer days. The Wi-Fi was great and the owners have large screen tvs in practically every room which allow us to take a break from the sun during midday and enjoy our game system and stream our favorite shows. Our granddaughter had her own house to retreat to. She really enjoyed seeing all the deer and other wildlife around town. My wife made friends with a neighbor and my grandson and I made friends at the local bait store. We enjoyed the fishing. My grandson caught a snook from a local pier located about a half a mile from the property. The houses were well air conditioned, private, had good beds, good dinnerware, skillets that didn’t stick, and the gas grill was easy to use and in good shape. Did I mention we enjoyed the place?

This is a great place with all the perfect amenities! There was a lot of detail and thought put into BOTH houses from decor to coziness to kitchen utensils and all your potential needs! The pool was perfect to cool
off and relax in and it was nice that each room in the houses had its own TV for the kiddos to watch different shows when relaxing inside. Only 25 minutes to the large grocery store and only 1.5 hours from the South Padre Beaches for a day trip! You won’t be disappointed staying here! The hosts are very responsive and easy to reach and check in and out was easy and quick! Would stay here again 👍🏼🙂Thank you for a quiet little family getaway!

Paradise in Port
Wonderful place, from being fully fenced and gated for privacy to being able to go swimming on the hot days in the pool. Beds are extremely comfortable and place was clean and neat and Mr. and Mrs. Peña were very accommodating, will definitely be renting again
