This beautiful private spacious home has 14’ high ceiling in living room, kitchen and dining room, ceiling fans in living room and bedrooms with a salt water pool is located in Marathon, the heart of the Florida Keys. ***** Heater/Chiller Salt Water Pool ***** ****$100 PER WEEK FEE TO USE THE POOL HEATER****** This house is perfect for families and/or 2 couples traveling together featuring 2 master suites with separate bathrooms. This 2-bedroom 2-1 1/2-bath home is fully furnished. Fully stocked large kitchen with top of the line appliances, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, bullet blender/juicer and all the utensils and cookware you will need. Central air, WIFI and alllinens and towels provided. We also provide a pack -n-play and highchair. Located in a quiet neighborhood!! If you are on Homeaway or vacationrental and want to see a video of the home, go to VRBO #562308 and check it out! Private 14’x28’ in-ground salt water swimming pool with a heater/chiller. Relax in the screened in patio with a bar/lounge area with beautiful comfortable furniture. Pool area has several large umbrellas and plenty of patio lounge furniture for everyone! Each bedroom has a queen bed with pillow-top mattresses, flat screen HDTV and DVD player. Both bedrooms have their own private full bathroom with tub and shower. One bedroom has access to back screen in patio w/pool and ocean view. Two sofas in the living room have pull out queen mattresses. Living room has large flat screen HDTV that swings around to view anywhere in the living area. Large laundry room with a full size washer and dryer, ironing board /iron and hairdryer. Powder room off the living room area. There are 4-beach chairs w/umbrella, cooler and beach cabana for you to take to the beach! This is a smoke free and pet free home! Sombrero Beach is located 3.9 miles south. Visit Key West for the day, its 1-hour south and it’s a beautiful drive. We are 2 hours from Miami Airport and about 2 ½ hours from Fort Lauderdale Airport and 1 hour from Key West Airport. We are located across the highway from Marathon Airport Carport parking 77” height. 17.5’ wide x 32' deep parking. Additional parking 17.5’ wide x 25' deep from road to carport. There were issues, fridge leaked on floor , the pool was not a salt water like advertised, it was chlorine plus pool has aleak so it doesn't stay full. None of lights inside the pool worked. Out door speakers or lights on patio didnt worked.
. The air quit working had to be fixed tv's had to be fixed. Junkie neighborhood. Not on our list to go back.

This was our fifth return to the property but it has changed ownership since our last visit. The new addition of the back stairs is well done, with safety and convenience in mind. In past years, the pool was clear, sparkling, and without issue. When we arrived on a Tuesday the pool had the start of algae on the steps which we cleaned off for safety reasons. Unfortunately, it took 2 days to get the pool warm enough to use. Renting a home w/ a private pool significantly increases your rental cost, so it really should be ready to use when a new guest arrives. By that Friday the pool temp had improved but it was noticeably turning green w/algae. We notified the owner who was prompt in replying that Friday was pool maintenance day, though did not followup later to ensure the pool issues remained resolved. The pool company had cleaned the algae from sides/bottom, and there was a slight chemical odor. We expected the pool to clear, but over the next week the algae gradually built back up, and when we left on the following Friday, the pool looked terrible again. I say this not to be rude or critical, but due to experience, the pool maintenance is not what it should be. The owner is no-doubt spending good money on a maintenance contract, so this is just a heads-up their work is not meeting minimal standards. The Keys did have an unusual cool spell during our stay and I’m aware cooler temps can affect the condition of the pool. However, this should be foreseen and remedied by a regular maintenance. I noticed another reviewer mentioned the pool being full of leaves. Due to having a windy day we also had a lot of leaves to clean out, which we were not bothered by and understand weather cannot be helped, but the responsibility should not be on paying guests, but on a contracted pool maintenance company. (Can you imagine staying at a nice hotel and finding the pool dirty and unusable?)
At this higher price point, guests should expect everything to be right. All in all, we enjoyed our 10-day stay, the home was clean upon arrival, and we did more that what was required of us at checkout, but were disappointed that the pool could only be used a couple of times. Hopefully, this pool situation will get worked out because the rest of the place is nice. (This is the reason for 4 stars)

We weren't to happy not having hot water for 2 weeks. My husband has bad sinuses and he couldn't even get enough to help. It was luke warm and we never felt clean at all.

The home was very clean and welcoming. There was an issue with the pool due to storms and Adriana took care of the issue in less than 24 hours. House was located very close to Sombrero Beach and we enjoyed relaxed laid back days and evenings out at the pool. The neighborhood was quiet. We definitely would love to stay here again. Adriana answered all questions and gave great recommendations.

The house was very nice, clean, and conveniently located to everything we wanted to see. The pool filter/pump however didn't work. We notified the owner.

Absolutely loved this home. Great for 2 couples, floor plan was wonderful having 2 master bedrooms. The pool and patio area was the Best! Only wish rental was pet friendly, we cannot leave our doodle at home again. Planning 2024 trip soon for same area, Marathon is beautiful area! Thank you Adriana for sharing your vacation home.

Overall this house is well done and is well appointed. Beds are comfortable, but furniture is not. Pool is nice. Screened in porch at second floor and screened sitting area at ground level are a plus, but badly needed cleaning. Would rent again.

Flew in from Michigan and Connecticut for a warmer Christmas! The house was great. I recommend checking out provisions prior to grocery shopping, the house had more than I expected and bought duplicate things. The heated pool was AMAZING! I traveled with my 10 week old - the home had a pack n play along with a high chair. Plenty of room for 4 adults and a baby. The set up is great with a private bathroom for each room. Close walk to the end of the road where you can catch a good sunrise. All in all, I’d stay here again!

The only item missing was a pool vacuum or someone to vacuum the pool. We enjoyed our stay very much! It was clean, comfortable and the private pool was an added bonus. Thanks for the hospitality.

A week in Paradise

Very clean and spacious
We enjoyed staying at the house, it was clean and was very spacious. There were plenty of extra towels and blankets. The pool and deck area are very nice as well. We enjoyed morning coffee in the screened in porch in the mornings. The owners were very responsive if we had questions.

My family rented Adrianas home and had an amazing time!! The house is completely updated and very spacious. The only issue we had was the pool heater wasn’t working- but we notified her right away and she had someone out as soon as possible and fixed the problem. It wasn’t something she had any control over but she was very responsive and quick to fix it. We will definitely be back.

My family rented Adrianas home and had an amazing time!! The house is completely updated and very spacious. The only issue we had was the pool heater wasn’t working- but we notified her right away and she had someone out as soon as possible and fixed the problem. We had a wonderful weeks stay at the property for our family vacation! We could not have asked for a better place to come back to after a full day of fun in the keys! The house was clean, comfortable and had Everything that we needed to make our stay perfect! The owner was very nice, and easy to get a hold, and quick to respond, for the few questions we had! We can’t wait to come back to the area, and stay here again! Thank you for helping to make our family vacation a memorable one.

The interior of the home was great! The one downfall was the kitchen chairs and bar stools. All of them barely had any padding left in them. The pool was great but it was covered in leafs. The bottom of the pool was covered and the top layer also. We asked the owner to have it cleaned. I understand it was windy down there but the leafs were a huge disappointment and having to ask to be cleaned was even bigger of a disappointment. There was a large palm branch broken off and just sitting on the yard. It looks to have been there a while.
