Nestled in Wildernest, this charming condo for £62 per night is a great option for your next break. This charming 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo sleeps 4 with a queen bed, and a sleeper sofa. The private deck offers beautiful mountain views in the distance. Enjoy a quiet stay away, but the ski areas are still easily accessible with the nearby shuttle stops. My vacation rental started off great, got there, got in, and got ready for my day of snowboarding the next day. Woke up, got ready and left. After snowboarding, I had come back to zero power with no update from the host about it. I was without power for around 5-7 hours. The host didn’t reply to me for at least a few hours, if not three. Which felt ****** in the very least. I also was unable to use my balcony as it was covered in snow and the screen door was busted out. Also, the host had rules to lock everything up but when I had gotten there the door to outside in my room was left unlocked. Not sure why, but yeah. This would’ve been a 5/5 from my but with all the other stuff that happened it will surely be 2/5. I tried to ask for some money back due to the inconviences and was simply ignored... still have the text messages to prove it as well. Would recommend staying somewhere else.

Fireplace is not working and not insulated
Best way to describe our stay : this apartment is very poorly insulated.
NOT ONLY THE FIREPLACE IS NOT WORKING, the fireplace is like an open window and blow cold wind - there is absolutely no ways to close the aperture, but to stack up things in front of the fireplace to prevent from the wind to blow in this small apartment.
I contacted the property management - they did acknowledge that they were aware of the issues for a long time and that the landlord wasn't doing anything. The only things they come up with was 2 extra blankets for us to stay warm at night .
Here are some facts: we couldn't manage to get the place warmer than 60 F (that is cold after a ski day)
If you like it cold - just sleep in your van - no need to book this place.

We stayed in this property for two nights and had a terrible experience. We should have looked at the other negative reviews before booking.
TLDR - we couldn't use the hot tub or pool, the fireplace didn't work, place was cold and drafty, everything was a hassle. Property manager offered us a $27 refund on an expensive stay to make up for all of the above (with the condition we didn't leave a bad review.)

First, as multiple other reviews have stated, the fireplace does NOT work. They did send a maintenance guy out to fix it the first night, who had to mess with it for about 15 minutes before he was able to get it to work - after which we had a fire for maybe 10 minutes and then it went out completely. We both tried to get it going again but couldn't, and asking for maintenance multiple times every night to get a fire going for 10 minutes didn't seem like a great fix. It also smelled strongly like natural gas, and had a constant cold draft that kept the living room freezing, even with a space heater. We never could get the fire going, and just tried to block the draft with pillows and blankets.
Second, we were unable to use the hot tub, pool, or game room throughout our stay. The key fob to let us in to the club house with the hot tub was missing from the room, and I'm guessing the people before us took it, which sucks. But that should have been checked for before our arrival, or management should have had the code to give us. The staff were responsive, but could not fix any of our issues. They couldn't get us another key fob or get the code, so I asked if they could let us into another clubhouse. However, after driving 10 minutes to a different clubhouse in the dark on our last night, we found it locked and closed down. It was overall a hassle and a waste of time, and we were unable to get access to a hot tub/sauna at all during our stay.
To make up for all these issues throughout the duration of our stay, they offered us $27 off a multi night stay - with the condition that we sign a form saying we wouldn't leave a negative review. I told them $27 wasn't enough to buy us off. We're leaving this review so other people don't make the same mistake we did.
In the interest of fairness, it was clean, and the pillows were comfortable. Also, we've stayed in multiple Wildernest properties before and never had an issue, so I think it's specific to this property.

The condo was wonderful. Fantastic location. The clubhouse with pool, hottub, sauna and pool room were amazing. I would recommend this to anyone.
We drive into the nearby towns and enjoyed every minute.

Loved our stay in Timber Ridge. The apartment had everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable. Would recommended 100%. Perfect for 2 people, 3 max. The only thing I would suggest changing is the TV. We were not able to watch anything and does not have AppleTV, Roku or Amazon Stick.

I really have to give 5 stars to the property manager. They were super helpful with coordination and the entire experience was so smooth. Upon booking you’ll be given a 1 stop shop website for everything you’ll need for the trip to include directions to the property in the event you don’t have service in the mountains. The property was great and had everything we needed for a 4 day trip to include cooking supplies and laundry machines available. You’ll have access to the clubhouse with a pool and 2 hot tubs as well as games for both kids and adults. 4 stars for the unit due to a couple hooks that had fallen off the walls and unable to work the TV (most likely user error). Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

We wanted the location of the condo because of its convenience to family staying in the area. We did not plan to spend a lot of time in the condo. The condo is very much in need of updating. The carpet is past needing replacing. I suggest laminate flooring. The booking agency was great to work with.

Comfortable
I traveled with my husband and 7yr old daughter. This condo was perfect for our stay. The amenities were amazing and my daughter enjoyed the pool. I was impressed with the management company and their communication.

When I wiped a kitchen cabinet handle, the paper towel was black. I literally didn’t want to touch anything. I called to complain and although they happily sent two kids over to clean, I knew their 10 minute wipe down wouldn’t help. I’ll admit I was pleased they returned to clean the blood off the carpet, the pee off the toilet & the crumbs off the tables, but this place was filthy and would need much more than a couple of rags & windex. After they left, we bought proper cleaning supplies and began scrubbing. We spent our 1st evening of vacation cleaning a disgusting rundown condo.. We bought a shower liner even though they said they would replace it. Not the point. I didn’t want to deal with them a minute longer or wait for them to replace it, nor should I have to call them in tears about their gross condo or about replacing a cheep item which should have been done 6 months ago. During one of my many phone calls to complain, one of the reps actually said the unit wasn’t as clean as it should be bc it was the end of ski season. This actually made me laugh between the tears. We didn’t have a place to hang our clothes since the one closet was jam packed with dusty, smelly piled up stuff. We endured the filth for three nights until we woke to no heat or hot water. We called & they sent someone. During this time we asked the maintenance man to fix the gas fireplace so we could warmup. However, when he turned on the gas to ignite the pilot light, gas engulfed the condo within minutes. We called him back to turn the gas off as freezing was a better option than asphyxiation. Even when the heat was working, the living room was freezing due to a draft from the inoperable fireplace. At this point we packed up and moved to a hotel. Good news is the clubhouse is clean, well maintained & right across the parking lot. They did promptly address all reported issues but the unit remained filthy, drafty, with no working fireplace or useable closet and a front door that wouldn’t close properly. Good luck if you stay here.

Would work great for 2, tho’ tight for 3 (which we had - good thing we were family). Awesome towels, worn-a-bit bedding. Some glitches w/fireplace that prop managers tried to fix (tho’ I’m sure will get more attention, as we left a note for them to ‘dig deeper’). Good shower & bath, well-stocked kitchen. Insanely close to clubhouse - a big plus for us for spa access, pool table ping pong. Amazing mt views & central to the resorts we skied.

It was a bit frustrating as far as communication goes. I was unable to bring ESA animals and the team didn’t offer a full refund. So we still went, and then the fireplace stopped working. When I reached out to the team, no one said the key needed to be in the lock box. I assumed they had a key. The fireplace never got fixed during our stay and no one said anything until I followed up.So overall they could do better at communicating.

Overall, our resort rental in California was surprisingly cheaper, more luxurious and more comfortable than this rental.
