About this house rental

Situated in Chikaming Township, this lovely house for £315 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. (mid June-mid. Aug. week long Sun.-Sun. rentals only) Four bedrooms, 2 bath vacation home located just a few blocks from Lake Michigan with access to Orchard Beach (private). The floor plan is perfect for one or two families with privacy for all -- separate sleeping areas, each with 2 bedrooms and a full bath. The dining room boasts an 8 ft dining table with seating for 12. After dinner, enjoy cozy evenings around the wood-burning stove while watching the large-screen TV. There is a screened-in porch on the front of the house providing a view to a large open area and a deck off the back of the house. The large lot provides plenty of room for outdoor fun. At night, guests can gather around the fire pit and gaze at the stars. The location is convenient to downtown Sawyer where you'll find groceries, restaurants, and shopping. If you don’t feel like driving, you’re only a 5-minute walk to the Blue Plate Café and various antique and local craft stores. We kindly request that guests refrain from hosting large parties or family gatherings out of respect for the neighboring homeowners, many of whom reside here year-round. By fostering a sense of harmony and consideration, we can ensure that everyone enjoys a peaceful and rejuvenating stay. Bring food, drinks, personal items, and the good times. This property is well-maintained and equipped for the comfort and convenience of our guests. Our vacation rentals include well-equipped kitchens, living, and dining areas. Linens and towels are provided. Homes have washers and dryers, a dishwasher, central heat and air conditioning, cable/satellite television, DVD players, and high-speed Internet service. We ask that renters bring condiments, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, extra toilet paper, and convenience items like plastic wrap, aluminum foil, and zip-lock bags. We do not resupply anything during the stay. We provide two rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, 2 rolls of paper towels, 4 garbage bags, and hand soap in each bathroom so plan according to your needs. Minimum Age Limit for Renters: The guest signing the rental agreement/contract must be 30 years of age or older (ID at check-in required) and must be responsible for the group during the entire time of the stay. Maximum occupancy restrictions: The number of guests at any WAYA-managed property can not exceed the maximum occupancy number (or sleeps number). This includes invited guests, friends, or additional family members. Events, parties, or family gatherings are not permitted without express written permission prior to booking.

This was my second time staying at this house and we loved it. The house had everything we needed and it was clean. The host responded quickly to questions. It's right off a fast road and across from train tracks, but there is a layer of trees that provides privacy. We loved sitting on the front and back porches! The back patio has been updated to be a brick patio, down a few steps from the house and it is a GREAT sitting area with seats and a table. Just have to watch any little kids as there's no railing on most of the back landing to get to the patio. We'd love to come back! Highly recommend this house.

The sleeping accommodations were awesome for adults and kids. The beds were comfortable & the layout was great for two families. The house was in a convenient location but there are steep stairs down to the private beach & no bathroom, which caused our families only to use it once & went elsewhere for beach days. The highway is loud on the front but cannot be heard in the backyard. There is room for more than 3 vehicles so I’m unsure why this is a requirement but it did cause inconvenience for our trip.

This trip was a chance for four sisters, two adult nieces and their five little ones to spend a week together visiting on the beach, playing games in the house or on the porch, shopping in town, picking blueberries and at least one campfire along with several ice cream trips. Overall, the listing was as advertised and enjoyable. There were a few items that could be improved (shades for the skylights, printed guide for house and map to beach, etc) which have been shared with the owners so may be taken care of already. But, again, we had a great time and would book this rental again. Thanks. for the memories.._

House was nice, front porch was great, as well as, fire pit area. The lake is about a 1 block walk. There is a 'sectioned off' private beach area, it is rather small, but workable. The house is close to the main busy road, although blocked by a full tree line, you can still hear the cars. There is also a railroad track across the main road, so you hear the train every morning. Overall, the property was great, manager was easy to work with (when we didn't get our entry email). Absolutely beautiful sunsets at the private lake.

Great proximity to the beach with an easy 5 minute walk. The house definitely needs some updating. We felt the beds weren't really queen size and the mattresses were hard. Could also use some Tupperware for the kitchen to put leftover food in. Otherwise it worked out well for 4 adults and 6 kids.
