About this cottage rental
This gorgeous downtown property is surrounded by beautiful perennials, climbing vines and flower bushes. The Cottage is located kitty corner from the Gus Klenke Garage on hwy 42 in downtown Ellison Bay and within walking distance to Door County Cider, local pottery shops, and an antique shop. Local restaurants and coffee shops include Kick Ash Coffee, Brew Coffee House, Wickman House, Mink River Basin Bar and Restaurant, and The Viking Grill all within walking distance. The Pioneer Store is less than a city block away and has deli meats, beer, wine, liquor and fresh and frozen foods. The Cottage is attached to a seasonal retail shop with its own personal entrance. There is a spacious parking lot and a very large enclosed patio area with a picnic table, patio table and bench. The kitchen has all the tableware and silverware needed for eight individuals as well as a coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans, full refrigerator, electric stove/oven and a dishwasher. The dining area has a fold-out table that seats 8 and has a large bay window. The living room is open and bright with a full picture window looking out at the patio. There is a brand new cozy couch with additional seating facing an electric fireplace and large screen tv that includes Spectrum cable and wifi. Provided are also Pendleton beach towels for your use. There is one bathroom that has a large sit-down tiled shower. A set of towels, hand towels and washcloths are provided for each guest. The first bedroom is very large with a four poster queen bed and corner windows perfect for relaxing with a good book. Large closet and shelves with a luggage rack and all bedding with extra blankets and sheets provided. The second bedroom has a comfortable queen bed with cozy bedding and extra blankets and sheets provided. A small closet and full length shelving unit for clothing storage. The upstairs bedroom has three twin size beds with two medium size closets. All bedding provided with extra blankets and sheets. Owners live in Door County and are very open to accommodating our guests in any way we can so please let us know if there is anything you need to help make your vacation the best experience possible!

The property was clean and suited our needs. The extra bathroom was located in an attached shop, which was a little awkward to go into and use. I’m used to more communication with the host from the booking and then leading up to the stay.

The location was perfect. We could walk to the coffee shop and the Blue bear. the area was quieter. we enjoyed playing trivia and sipping wine in the evening.

The cottage/apartment is very comfortable and and nicely decorated. It is within walking distance to good restaurants, beach, grocery store and shops, not to mention just a short drive to some of the most beautiful natural places in Door County.

My sister and I explored Door County from this beautiful home base. The property is an oasis after a busy day. We enjoyed returning to it for a cozy evening and a good nights sleep. It was also nicely situated for walks to the surrounding area stores, restaurants, and park on the bay. Although we didn't need it, the upstairs bedroom is so cozy! We would definitely stay there again.

We were 4 friends attending a wedding at wickman house and this was the perfect location. Walking distance to wickman, delish cidery across the street, mink (bar) down the street. 8min drive to sister bay. House is spacious clean and comfortable.

This garden cottage VRBO was perfect for our family. Extended family members were able to meet up with us, have drinks on the patio and then head to the outdoor movie theater and tailgate with a pizza party! So much fun! We all wore pink for the Barbie movie and enjoyed ourselves making our time together special and memorable.

A very clean property! Willow arrived just as we were checking in and we told her it was 76 inside. She said she had to turn off the central air to do some work on it. We left and she texted me that everything was working well. We returned about 4 hours later and it was 74. I contacted Chris and Willow to let them know and Chris said they would have a repairman there in the morning. We left the next morning to explore and returned later and it was still 74 even though the temperature was set at 63. The upstairs bedroom was about 10 degrees warmer. Everything was perfect with this property if you don't need air conditioning.

We enjoyed our stay. A well maintained home with old time charm. Recommend staying there - quaint little town with lower traffic and good location to the parks and beaches.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage! Super clean and very cute (artful and not cluttered) decor. Also loved how much more peaceful and calm Ellison bay is in the summer compared to the other bay towns. Willow was a great host and communicated really quickly!

This was a great place for our annual trip to Door County. We loved being close to the beach, coffee shops, and our favorite restaurant, Wickman House. We had plenty of room for 7 adults to sit and visit both inside and outside on the patio. We loved the mid-century vibe, art work on the walls and the plush beach towels! Check in was easy and communication with Willow was great. We look forward to staying again.

The house is located in a great location in a fairly quiet smaller town just a short drive to some of the busier areas. Our family loved staying here, the bedroom layout worked perfectly and the house was equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

The property is lovely. Though close to the main street, it's actually very quiet after daytime hours. Overall spacious, clean, and well maintained . Kitchen has basic dinnerware and some basic cookware for cooking simple meals. Very much enjoyed our stay.

This is a beautiful place to say in downtown Ellison Bay, WI (a very small village in Door County that isn't crowded like Sister Bay, Ephraim, Fish Harbor, and Egg Harbor). The owner was very friendly and quick to respond when we accidently locked out keys inside. (How embarrassing :-( ) It had everything we need for our young family of 5. The location is fantastic: two blocks from a great coffee house, a fun little grocery store, a wonderful restaurant, and three blocks from another great coffee house and a great place to watch the famous Door County sunsets. We would highly recommend it.

This property was as described and shown in the photos. Our family of four was very comfortable. Another bathroom would have been nice, but we knew it was a one bath going in. Check-in and out was very straightforward. The place was clean and comfortable - and surprisingly quiet for being on the highway. We did not use the patio as it is too cold, but I could see that being a very nice space to sit and relax. One of our favorite hikes is only a few minutes away at Death's Door County Park, and we found the small store in Ellison Bay very handy to pick up a few things. We had dinner at The Old English Inn - the first time in our many trips to DC - and we all enjoyed it though it is on the pricey side for anything but a (more) special occasion for us. Our stay was great - no issues.

This house was owned by my family and I spent many summer and winter days here as a young girl, and I love that Willow has really taken great care of the property. She had everything we needed in the kitchen and we were very cozy and comfortable!

Great experience for a weekend of hiking with close proximity to Newport State Park. The upstairs room with 3 twin beds was perfect for the kids, there were even children’s books. Comfy house with everything needed and an attentive host.

Spouse and I stayed in late September for 1.5 weeks and found the location to be great - easy drives from here to lots of great hiking spots, restaurants, breweries, and beaches. Lovely aesthetic, very clean, quiet, and well appointed. Already thinking about a return visit next year!

Very clean and nicely decorated. Like that it wasn’t near all the busy tourist stuff. Comfortable beds. Creaky floors and loud doors, gets hot for a little house but a/c works okay. Would have been nice if curtains or blinds on front door and dinner room windows. Would stay again.

Beautiful, clean home with all that we needed. Private and peaceful, away from tourist crush of holiday. Clear communications from Vrbo and host. Easy access to Washington Island ferry and short drives to other parts of Door County. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This was everything I'd hoped for and more for my annual Door County vacation that also included my son's wedding in Sister Bay. Willow has paid such beautiful attention to detail on creating a wonderful home away from home space. I hesitate to say more because I want to keep this hidden gem all to myself! ;-) If it meets uour needs, and you decide to book it, you'll be so happy that you did!

My sister and I stayed for two nights and had the best stay. The photos don’t do this place justice! It’s so cute — a mix of Scandi-Modern and Mid-Century. The whole cottage was spotless clean, the beds were super comfortable and Willow (hostess) was in communication for anything we might need. It’s a quick drive into Sister Bay. I would definitely stay here again.

This property was very nice and clean. A quiet place to relax. Beds were all comfortable. The upstairs can get a bit warm we found running the fan helped to circulate the air. We enjoyed being in Ellison Bay away from all the hustle and bustle. We would love to stay here again!

Beautiful house that is well designed for a young family. Clean, comfortable and quiet. 2 playgrounds and the beach within walking distance as well as coffee shops and restaurants. Tons to do a short drive away. Host very easy to communicate with. Hope to be back!

Perfect location, great stay.
Great location. Close to the busier towns and and ferry to Washington Island. Please note there is no washer/dryer. Not a big deal, but I assumed there was (my mistake). We would definitely stay here again. Willow was very easy to work with. Family of 5. (Kids ages 16,13,11)
