Nestled in South Bethany, this attractive house for £314 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This bright and spacious 5-bedroom canal front home in South Bethany, Delaware is located ~8 houses from beautiful South Bethany Beach. Our house has plenty of room to spread out with 5 designated outdoor areas to relax and is on a quiet street w/ only 6 houses. Take a ride into town on the bikes or hop on the canoe and explore Jefferson Creek and the Little Assawoman Bay. Spend the evening relaxing by the fire pit on the patio, drop in crab pots and try your hand at crabbing or play a game of cornhole or ping pong. Driveway parking for up to 3 cars. Extra cars can park along the street. One can enter the home on the ground level (using elevator to get to 2nd or 3rd floor) or by exterior stairs to the 2nd floor. The middle level holds all bedrooms except the bedroom with a queen bed. It also has the laundry room, 2 full baths and the office/sunroom off the main owner suite. The top floor has a Great Room, Kitchen and dining area, 5th bedroom, full bathroom and access to porch and veranda. The kitchen was upgraded in 2017 and has counter seating for 3. The Great Room has a gas fireplace, 55" TV, and new furniture in 2023. Two sliding glass doors exit off the Great Room to an exterior deck facing the canal with dining as well as a an uncovered seating area with a gas grill. A new ground level patio was added in 2021 with a fire pit and seating. Please stop and pick up wood on your way in if you plan to use it. We are only a short walk to York Beach Plaza including Rosenfeld's Deli, Grotto Pizza, Misaki Sushi, a bait & tackle, and more. Bike into Bethany for shopping, dinner or ice cream. 5+ bikes are available for guest use along with plenty of beach chairs, floats and toys.

We loved staying here. The house was clean, stocked with all kinds of stuff, great neighborhood, and just as the listing described. We were in town for a baseball tournament so my son loved coming back and soaking in the jetted tub. I really enjoyed sitting on the back and front porch feeling the breeze and listening to the ocean. I also enjoyed that the house was really close to places to eat and grocery store. We would definitely book again.

Shelly is a wonderful host, providing comfortable beds, a pantry stocked with more spices than I have in my own kitchen, a garage filled with bikes and beach equipment, supplies for laundry, and immediate responses to all questions. No locked "owner's closets " she shares her home with her guests.
The inverted floor plan, with kitchen, dining, and living room on the top level and both a covered and open porch offered beautiful views of the canals. Getting groceries and suitcases up to the second and third levels was easy, even for our group of seniors because of the elevator!
The location was perfect. We put our kayaks in the canal from the back yard and paddled out to the peaceful Assawoman Bay. We walked 2 blocks to the beach, pulling a wagon we took along, filled with chairs and umbrellas kept in the garage for guests. Off season the beach was peaceful. Beautiful. But we were a bike ride away from
restaurants and shops in Bethany and Fenwick.
We're planning a second visit next year.

It's a great place for family and friends gathering. It's very quiet neighborhood, we enjoyed crabing, canoeing, and the sunset/sunrise at the beach -only 5 mins walk!

The title says it all. The property, communication, location, and everything in between was impeccable. 3rd floor balcony overlooking the canals was really cool. Very spacious and comfortably fit 10 adults. Full size pantry with everything imaginable, kitchen-wise, was also a very nice touch.

Wonderful stay!
My family of five had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The house is well maintained and comfortable. I use VRBO for the majority of my travel and rely on the reviews. Everything I read prior to booking was 100% accurate. The house is perfectly located in South Bethany and a block from the beach. The neighborhood is very peaceful and our last morning just before we left at 6:00 a.m., I stood on the upper floor balcony and could hear the ocean. My entire family loved the location and look forward booking this location again.

We loved everything about the house and the location. It was great for our group of 10, as there was plenty of space for group gatherings and also lots of space to retreat to for privacy as well. This home is the beach house you always wanted. The spaces are tastefully decorated and comfortable. The upper main level is a spacious and open area with great views. The kitchen is well appointed. The beach was a short walk. We stayed on some chilly days so the gas fireplace was nice to have. We would definitely stay again.

This is a lovely, well-appointed beach house near the beach and on the canal in South Bethany. It was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this property-hope to get back ourselves!

High quality, beautiful property
My family and another including 4 kids under the age of 4 rented Shelly's property. This was a new listing. The owner promptly responded to my questions and approved booking within hours.
The house is GORGEOUS, solid, roomy, bright and open. It is expertly decorated. If you have kids, hide the breakables!!! There was more than enough space for 8 people. New carpet, very comfortable mattresses, fireplaces... the list goes on. This is by far the nicest beach rental I have been to.
The kitchen is equipped to cook. Everything in the house is in great shape and organized.. The grill worked well. The elevator helps to brings things up and down (kitchen on the top floor). If it was warmer, I would have loved to play outdoors more with the toys provided: scooters, ping pong, canoe.
3 short blocks to the beach, walkable to some shops, short drive to central Bethany... this is a perfect location for a group wanting to hang out at the house. I can't wait to come back when it is warmer.
