STAY IN THE HEART OF THE VILLAGE at HALF MOON CABIN! 2 Bedroom 1 Bath open floor plan overlooking the Village of Suttons Bay; walking distance to the beach (1 block), restaurants, shopping and recreation (tennis and bike trails). Amenities include WiFi and cable tv. Two bedrooms: one with Queen bed, one with twin beds. One bath with tub/shower combination. Updated fully equipped kitchen. Half Moon cabin has access to the coin laundry area in the building also. This unit is next door to The Loft #2227882 which is in the same building and next door to Cabin in the Village #2227776, take them all to accommodate a large group. This apartment has sleeping for 4 but we will allow up to 6 guests in here upon approval. Guests will need to bring an airbed to accommodate the 5th and 6th guests. Walk out your door and down the steps and you are on the sidewalks of downtown Suttons Bay, excellent shopping and restaurants just steps away. Movie theater and ice cream right there too! Guests love to walk down to the Suttons Bay Marina and rent kayaks or bikes. Tart trail (paved bike trail over 30 miles worth) is right there for you. Gorgeous sand beach with playground and all pet friendly. Within steps of the park with tennis and basketball, right next door! Within 2 blocks of Suttons Bay marina and park and gorgeous sand beach with kayak rentals! If you wish to bring your boat you can rent a slip at the marina and be only a block away from your boat. Main floor has a full kitchen with dining set. Living room with windows such as the “half moon” window, over looking “the strip” of Suttons Bay downtown. Cute outdoor patio for dining out elevated adjacent to this rental, enjoy a glass of wine from one of the 12 local wineries or enjoy some food from some of the many local restaurants just steps away. WIFI and air conditioning! Pets are welcome for a fee. Linens included and laundered on high heat, bring your own paper products. This rental is just 4 miles away from Leelanau Club at Bahle Farms golf course and 15 miles away from Manitou Passage golf course in Cedar MI. In back of the cabins there is a park with tennis and basketball. Don't forget your rackets and ball! Extreme care is taken when cleaning the property and surrounding area. Additional deep cleaning is conducted to commonly touched surfaces, and precautions are taken to ensure your health and safety.

Location was fabulous for the three of us to reconnect. Had some troubles with kitchen but Carol was very helpful and in communication with us promptly.

We really enjoyed our stay at Carol's place. It was comfortable, cozy, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed being right in town, close to everything. We would definitely stay there again.

We loved Carol's place. Everything is top notch.. It's too bad that dealing with VBO is becoming a chore.. I was not able to communicate with the owner(password not recognized. Unable to reset new password)

We enjoyed our stay quite a bit. The location is perfect. We particularly enjoyed being able to walk to shops, restaurants, and the beach when we had down time from the wedding we were attending in the area. The property was clean and we really liked people watching out of the front windows in the mornings! The only suggestion I would have is to provide a full sized ironing board. A small ironing board was available but it was hard to iron our wedding attire on it.

The apartment is totally equipped with everything we needed for an extended stay on the peninsula; a dedicated parking spot, a coin laundry room, and plenty of space to relax in the living room. A great location in a beautiful town.

We’ve been coming to Leelanau and Sutton’s Bay for the past 8 years and just love it up here. Carol’s VRBO was fantastic. Very clean and lots of space for our family of 3. We loved the location, being able to so easily walk everywhere in town for a bite to eat, glass of wine or a day at the lake! We were so grateful we were able to bring our dog, too.
It was a perfect first vacation with our 6-month-old!

This is the perfect location to stay in Sutton's Bay. 2 minutes from the beach and right in the downtown area. Loved our time here.

What a perfect apartment! The unit is accurately described in the listing; it is even prettier and more spacious than the photos show. It is one of the cleanest units we have ever stayed in. The windows are very clean! The location is perfect. We walked everywhere. Carol was very easy to communicate with. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. We loved our stay and certainly will stay again.

This was my second time staying here. I love that I can bring my dog. You can walk to restaurants and it’s a short drive to Traverse City. The apartment is very comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The location couldn’t be better, walking distance to all of Sutton’s Bay. The beds were comfortable, and the space was perfect for our family (with three young kids). The unit was fully furnished, so we were able to make a meal or two there, as well. Great experience!

We enjoyed Half Moon. It was very comfortable and a great location to walk to meals and shops in Suttons Bay. A great location to go to a lot of wine tastings at local wineries and some nice areas for walks/hikes.

We truly enjoyed our stay! What a great location! The owner was very responsive and helpful. The unit was very clean, looked like the carpets had just been cleaned, which was helpful since we had 6 month old twins with us! A lot of floor time! Thank you Carol!

Perfect location in downtown Suttons Bay. Very nice apartment.
Loved the keyless check-in as we weren't able to arrive until 11:00 PM. Was only a one day trip for a wedding at nearby Black Star Farms so didn't get to explore the area, but this location would be perfect! I'm sure we will be back

This property was in an excellent location to walk the town. Very comfortable, clean, and roomy. I would definitely recommend to family and friends. We even talked about coming back next year sometime. We also did a wine and cider tour, the location was perfect for that. Thank you for letting us stay!

I can’t say enough good things about our stay in the Half Moon apartment! The place was absolutely spotless. Everything about it was perfect. Check-in was so easy. The location in Suttons Bay couldn’t have been better. We were steps away from everything we wanted to do. Above all, Carol Miller, the owner was amazing. We inadvertently left things when leaving. She was so easy to contact and immediately set about mailing our things to us. She was so kind about it and went out of her way to get everything to us. You will not regret booking this lovely apartment!

Comfortable, clean and ideal location for our annual "Up North" week. Loved our stay in this rental. Plenty of hot water for showers and all amenities that were needed were provided. If you have difficulty navigating stairs this would not be the place for you because it is above a shop on the main street through town. We already miss our time there.

This property was excellent for our family vacation. By staying right downtown Suttons Bay, we were able to walk to shops and restaurants. There was just enough hustle and bustle to enjoy. Access to the beach was a bonus!!

Perfect Getaway
Our host has taken care of every detail to make our stay enjoyable and carefree. Location is ideal; you can look down from the second story windows and see crowds of tourists and still be separated from the throng. Very quiet. The living room is huge and pleasant; kitchen well stocked; beds comfortable. We will return!

My husband was skeptical when I suggested renting a vacation apartment in downtown Sutton’s Bay, because we had always rented homes with beaches on the water. But then every day he would say “wow, this place is really nice”.
The view from the living room of the city street is great. A short walk to the wonderful beach or to any of a number of great restaurants, ice cream shop, market, or stores galore. We took our 2 pups, and I was concerned about them climbing the flight of stairs to the entrance, but they did fantastic, and they both loved looking out the windows.
We will definitely be coming back.

Spacious but smelly!
I'm highly allergic to cats so this space was not for me. I could smell cat urine from the moment I walked in and started to sneeze and itch! I really struggled through our 3 night stay and was happy to leave. Overall cleanliness could use much improvement.
Sleeping was also a challenge because the window's only had shears on them. We had to put a bunch of sheets and towels in the window's so it would be dark enough to sleep. Simple room darkening shades could easily change that problem.
On the positive side the space was spacious and located right on the Main Street. It was nice to be able to walk right out your door and not need to drive to anything.
My suggestion is to look elsewhere if you or your children have allergies. I feel bad about not leaving a more positive review but I think it could be dangerous if you have an elderly person or baby with allergies to stay in the apartment.

Quaint condo with a great location! We were out and about most of the week but the location to the beach and shops is perfect. Close to other towns nearby. Would definitely recommend. Carol was very responsive when we had questions. Thanks for a lovely vacation.

Perfect location!
Loved this property, with a great location in Suttons Bay, walking distance to shops, dining, and the waterfront. It was a perfect spot for our family. The kids could go shopping or get ice cream. An easy drive to Lake Leelanau and Leland. Quick communication with the owner, and property was clean and bright with lots of windows in the large front room. Would stay here again!

Beautiful and Spacious Apartment
Perfect stay for our family while visiting the area! Loved being able to walk right out the door to the beach (across the street), shopping and dining. Quick access to the Leelanau Trail. Host was gracious and surprised us with a welcome gift! Dog-friendly and sparkling clean accommodations…highly recommend this unit to anyone interested in visiting Sutton’s Bay/Leelanau Pennisula!
