Location, hotel everything was perfect for me and my sister to have to quality time together

Breakfast was included in the price. They have two proper expresso machines there. We asked: we'll have cappuccinos, please. 'Yes, but that's extra, pet.' Extra? Yes. How much? £7.90 for the two you want, pet.' 'But that's a London price....! Anyway, I fail to see why it isn't included and dealt with the same as filter coffee and tea?' Then the staff look at you in a manner that says, "Gawd, a couple of awkward characters here...' Good location if you like looking out at a cold, grey North Sea with noting on the horizon (but nice to wake up to on a sunny morning). Anyway, the cappucho was fine, not good, but fine... (with a narrow escape from having obligatory chocolate splashed on top (turning one's coffee into a dessert)).
At least the parking and wi-fi were free, unlike the cappucho. The NE is not exactly a gastronomic delight. You'll meet the pretence, but ....Stick to fish 'n' chips (there are some good places for that up there, but local fish went away some time ago).

Breakfast extremely slow. Check in relatively cold. Some bits of room in need of refurb/fixing. Pricey for what you get.

lovely clean hotel, very close to an amazing beach front - great for walking - went for a run to Roker lighthouse (it’s 1:5 miles from the Hotel to the lighthouse)

unlike my my meal my partner had the beef & said it was delicious (£19)
Breakfast very nice - plenty of choice - must nicer food than the evening menu
The Katzu curry was expensive for a plate of soggy rice, runny sauce and small piece of breaded chicken (£16)
Evening only - tables around us not cleared of dirty plates when restaurant was nearly empty
message to book a table - no response to request & not set up but did manage to take over another reservation in the window

The breakfast was really excellent, amongst the best I've had at any hotel in the UK.
But the situation of the hotel, just across the road from a large and picturesque beach, was exceptional.
All was quite acceptable,
but.....
i)...the large picture window, which we loved, was draghty (but there were very strong winds during our stay).
ii)...Personally, I'd have preferred the TV to have been mounted lower down the wall.
iii)....please...a fridge!

Wonderful friendly staff, warm and friendly atmosphere, fabulous beachfront location. the hotel decor was beautiful and clean. The breakfast was truly superb and so much choice for all appetites. I will definitely stay here again! :)

Location is great and hotel is very modern and clean throughout
room was at the end of the building which was next the Pub’s next door, Room was not soundproof and you can hear everything till early hours, hotel seem to forget to inform you..
As a dog owner I appreciate hotels that allow dogs, but we couldn’t even get a table at breakfast both days due to the sheer volume of people with dogs
breakfast is for a very limited time period and had an over 30min wait for Food, with no priority for guests, more a free for all and in the end unable to get hot food

Super comfy bed, best sleep ever, sea view what a sight to see to wake up on a morning to, wonderful. Breakfast was lovely, and alot of variety to choose from. Staff were friendly.
It would have been nice to have had a bath, but the shower was adequate. There wasn't anything we didn't like.

Bar area is excellent. The breakfast that was included (continental and cooked) was excellent. Room was sizeable and clean. Beds were comfortable too.

Lovely location, beautiful inn and the rooms were clean and pleasant. We had a sea view with a balcony and it was stunning. We were right next door to a club so if you’re coming for a quiet break, don’t book the sea view with a balcony. We were in said club until closing so it didn’t affect our break.
The check in was confusing as we couldn’t find the check in desk, also the lady who checked us in wasn’t friendly and came across quite abrupt. We’d still come again.

We had a double with Balcony. The room and bed were huge and very comfortable. And the balcony was big enough to sit at the table and 2 chairs assigned to it. A fantastic view. The patio doors did a very good job of keeping the outside noise at bay. Housekeeping will only tend your room if you hang a sign on the door. This works well for us and we asked for a clean on the second day, leaving one towel in the shower tray. When we got back all 4 towels were laid out on the bed as they were on arrival and the well stocked tea tray was replenished. Couldn't fault anything.
The smart TV had the Netflix app loaded but I found it impossible to sign on to my account. It seemed the TV had no Internet connection according to the screen. This was not a huge problem for us so I didn't bother to persue it with the staff. I'm sure they would have dealt with it as they dealt with everything in a thoughtful, freindly and efficient manner.

The breakfast staff were super friendly and nice to have a cook to order breakfast. The room was very large.
We had two adults and a child and didn't realize we were put in a "family" room in the backside of the building. We expected a sea view room. The room was worn and dirty as well. Stepping on a squished raisin in the carpet and crumbs under the class topper of the desk. The bed was uncomfortable and the place needs updating. We wished we could have stayed in a sea view room (we have a small child and it would have been fine in the same bed) and it was clean it would have been great.

Nice modern room, loved the balcony. Modern well equipped bathroom with nice toiletries. Comfortable bed. Clean and well presented. Nice friendly staff. Bar area was well thought out with booths making a cosy experience. Breakfast was very good.
No mini bar or complimentary water. No room service. Had to make an additional purchase of cappuccino as this was not included with breakfast. These should really be included at this price point.

Room, staff, facilities, breakfast all excellent. Bar is lovely and they have a good range of drinks.
We found the menu both restrictive and, for some items, very expensive. A simple rump steak at £23.50 is over the top.

Food wasn’t as good quality as a previous visit
The bathroom floor in the room had foot prints on it
The patio door had a damaged seal so there was a lot of road noise.

Location location location!!! Friendly staff 👍breakfast okay 👍 in fact friendly people at every turn! EV charger in car park - painfully slow however
