Can't say enough about this place. It was just what myself and my husband needed. Beautiful scenery and peaceful. The host was wonderful. Highly recommend.

A nice small cabin on the river. All the essentials and a few extras (salt and pepper and other spices, bug spray and a few other things). Cabins are close together but itās a quiet campground and overall we had plenty of peace and quiet. Wish they had a hot tub but otherwise perfect for what we needed (a quiet clean place to lounge in the mornings and wind down in the evenings). If I was in the area Iād stay there again.

To start with, the views are beautiful with the river running by the deck. The pictures of the cabin are accurate until you look closer. This was a very dirty cabin. We had stained washcloths, kitchen towels, and blankets. The fold out couch had tons of dirt, hair, bobby pins, and what looked like mildew. The refrigerator was dirty, the air mattress we were delivered in place of using the pull out couch must have been stored damp because it was literally covered with mold and mildew when we unrolled it! The doors, blinds, and stove were all dirty as well. Iāve offered pictures to the host and requested the $150 cleaning fee we were charged with no satisfaction from her. In fact, she stopped communicating with us for a bit during our stay. The property manager told us we werenāt the first to complain and that he wanted to replace the cleaning staff. To our way of thinking, if you know there are issues follow up and verify the staffās quality of work prior to your guestsā arrival. This was a trip for my husbandās birthday and would have been so much better without all of the stress. I hate that we wonāt be going back there, because the location was great ā¹ļø

I absolutely loved our stay here. We brought our dog and he absolutely loved sitting on the porch watching the geese on the sand bar right in front of the house. Marsha was so helpful and responded very quickly to us. When we are back in the area we will be for sure rebooking here. If you are going to the Smokeyās-Bryson City and this VRBO is a must. Thanks again to Marsha for being such a great host!

Nice small cabin by the river. The deck comes right up to the water which was nice. The cabin is comfortable and was great for my wife and I. Location was good, only a few minutes from Bryson City and easy access to Deep Creek entrance to GSMNP. Also good for fishing as the river is right there even though you will probably have to wade in order to get to the deeper water. The main drawback of the place was the A/C which is only in the living room. During the summer I couldn't imagine sleeping with the door to the bedroom closed as there would be no A/C. Would recommend the rental but probably just not for more than 2 people.

This little home away from home was great for our family of 4. We walked in the door and it was very inviting visually. All appliances worked just fine. The toilet does have a hard time flushing sometimes but I think that may just be a water pressure issue and nothing to worry about as it servers its purpose just fine :-). The deck was a lot of fun to sit on and very relaxing. My kiddos were bummed because we brought stuff for fishing off the deck and the current is just to strong to use a traditional fishing pole/method. This is more of a fly fishing kind of place BUT nonetheless they still tried every day :-).The river was beautiful and relaxing. My 10yr old made a point to always be on the deck and wave to people on the train across the way who were coming and going to Bryson City. The owner was very friendly and helpful and was available if we needed her. The ācampgroundā the cabin is in is not like a traditional camp ground. Most of the campers are retired locals and were very polite to us. Overall, nice little place for a long weekend for small families or couples. We found things to do around Bryson City and had a great time!

A very relaxing bundle of comfortā¦.. Having dinner on the deck and surrounded by the natural beauty added to cabin stay. We did some early morning fishing from the deck and caught our evening meal.
The host to the cabin didnāt hold back in ensuring we had everything we needed. Highly recommend the location for we are coming back. See you soon

My husband and I are traveling in our small camper. Decided to stay here with our dog for a 2 night break. The cabin is located in a campground and t felt like cabins were not going to be private but we were wrong. The inside is very clean, quiet and private and the deck over the water is so nice. The owners have hung privacy screens on the sides of the porch and theres a nice table and grill. The bed was a bit small for us but still comfortable as was the furniture in living room. We have stayed at many VRBOs and leaving a few things like coffee and filters really makes a good impression! Owners were very helpful finding us a spot to park camper .

This is our 2nd time staying with this host. Just a different cabin. Just as amazing experience as the first time, location is breathtaking, host is thoughtful, and the view....couldnt ask for anything more. Caught fish right from the deck. Everything was perfect. This is one of our favorite get aways. A true slice of heaven.

Highly recommend this cabin. Lots of books and crannies to store your things. Lots of blankets, sheets, pillows, and kitchen items you need. The river front view was beautiful and I loved watching the trains go by and the people fishing in row boats.

Location was excellent, on the river. Watching the geese and guided fly fishing boats lazily drifting down the river. The trains from Bryson City going down the tracks, either blowing the mourning sound of the steam whistle from the steam engine or the woeful sound of the diesel locamotives horn, gives you a sense of awe.
Would recommend for anyone who wants a taste of paradise.

We loved our quick getaway for a weekend of Christmas fun. Marsha made sure we were able to check in ok and had everything we needed. It was a perfect location to get to downtown quickly for the Polar Express train, shopping, dinner and even a couple breweries. We were also just a 10 minute drive to the National park for a fun hike to a few waterfalls. Our boys, ages 7 and 10, loved the bed in the loft. We also loved watching the geese on the river and the Polar Express passes the cabin just across the river. Fun family spot! Thank you Marsha for great memories!

Just OK
I was not given the entry code nor the Wi-Fi password. I had to get the code from Vrbo on the day of arrival and wasnāt able to contact the host for the password until the evening before I left.
The next time I travel I will book a room in a motel due to the ridiculous high fees and additional charges. The cost was just too high for the cottage. Just not pleased..
