About this house rental

Olde Loon Landing Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!' On the eastern shores of beautiful Crystal Lake, you'll find four seasons of adventure and lakefront relaxation in a classic Western Maine setting. This home is a place to swim off the private dock all summer, take in spectacular fall colors, ski in a quiet woodland setting come winter, and spend the spring on lovely hiking trails nearby. Scenically set on a hillside among the trees, this home sits just across the road from the lakeshore, a dock house on the water, and a private dock with a swim ladder and stairs. You'll find ample parking at the back of the house, a ramp leading to the front door, and three levels of living space accented by knotty pine, plentiful windows, and lake views. On the main level, you can leave your wet gear in the mudroom and make yourself at home in a space that brings together the living room, the dining area, and the kitchen - the latter offering stainless steel appliances, including a wine fridge, a farm sink, and a peninsula breakfast bar. The dining room table sits adjacent to a bank of floor-to-ceiling windows, and the living room has plush furnishings and a TV. The expansive deck, accessed through sliding glass doors, is bright all day, offering a gas grill, outdoor seating, and sweeping lake views. A staircase leads to the third floor, where you'll find an assortment of books and games to enjoy. The ground floor is partially finished and offers sliding glass doors that lead outside. The shores of Crystal Lake - and the private dock - are just across Norway Road from the house, so you can start each morning by canoeing, kayaking, fishing, or swimming in the lake's cool waters. There isn't room for a guest to park a boat at the dock, but there's a town ramp for launching small boats and a park with a playground and a beach in downtown Harrison about a mile south. The surrounding area is known for its farms, small markets, and hiking and skiing trails, with Shawnee Peak only 12 miles southwest. Sebago Lake State Park is 17 miles south, and Jockey Cap - an excellent spot for less demanding hikes - is 20 miles west. Things to Know This home allows water access, but is not waterfront. Please note that the owners keep their boat at the dock and there isn't enough room for a guest's boat. There are chairs that you can set up by the dock. There is a ramp to the front door, with the kitchen, the dining room, a bedroom, and a bathroom on the main floor. The lower level can be accessed via sliding glass doors. The lake is not ADA accessible. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 5 vehicles. Dock details: Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

This is an ideal location for a fun getaway for any season. Plenty of room for a large/extended family. While there is a road between the house and lake it didn’t detract from the experience at all. Pro tip, in cooler seasons turn on the ceiling fans to push the warmer air down. Otherwise the main room will feel cold. The dock is slightly off level and a couple doors don’t latch completely but those are just signs of a well loved camp.

Wonderful cathedral ceiling living room, ample bedrooms and great view of the lake especially at sunset. Our family was in Maine for a family wedding and this house provided a great spot for us to use as a hub.

We were so pleased that we chose to book this home! It is a beautiful house with access to the lake for swimming and close by to restaurants and activities. Fully stocked, very clean, and plenty spacious for to accomodate a large family. Definitely hoping to rent again in the near future!!

This was by far one of the cleanest rental properties I have been to over the years and we book at least 2 a year for the past 5 years. The vacation rental company they used was amazing- easy check-in and out, quick response time on any questions and all available via text. House was well equipped with boardgames, kids and adult books and had great group hangout space. Kitchen was a pleasant surprise with ample supplies that was stocked by people who actual cook for large groups; they even had a zester, lobster pot and service for 8+ For those traveling with kids, each of the 3 bedrooms upstairs are large enough for a pack and play (the pictures don't do it justice). Some areas of note- -The house is really on a main road and by main I mean the speed limit is 35 mph. -The dock area across the street is basically just the dock, there isn't much "hangout" space. -The entire basement is not finished. The bedroom and bathroom down there are very well done but you need to walk through unfinished space (open ceilings, unpainted walls, trim, doors, and polished cement floors) to get there.

This is a beautiful well maintained vacation home that is very comfortable. However, there were a few issues that would deter me from staying here again. The location across a road from the lake felt unsafe. The road is not terribly busy but cars do travel fast on this road and especially with kids and older relative it felt unsafe. Second, the property manager did not allow access to the boathouse which is where the chairs are kept, so you can visit the lake and the dock but there is no place to sit.

The house is beautiful but it’s on a Main Street with traffic. The second bathroom doesn’t really have any water pressure in the shower. Not all the rooms have a comfortable bed. The lake is cross the street.
